This hotel is perfect if you want somewhere basic to stay while you explore Paris. Everything is clean and functional. Shower very small, but did the job! Breakfast was good - continental - usual stuff. Good croissants! The staff were excellent, and able to recommend a decent venue for viewing the Champions' League. They have a room where you can leave your luggage before checking in / on the day that you leave. It's very walkable from the Gare du Nord.

Paris is as wonderful a city as it is expensive. You shouldn't expect to spend much time in your hotel room when in such a wonderful city and if trying to save money by skimping on a hotel room, know that you get what you dont pay for in this one. It being inexpensive by comparison, and its proximity to Gare du Nord station were why we chose this hotel. The staff were great, the hotel was not. The neighborhood is seedy but easy to get out of. A short walk to Montmartre and you will forget the few prior blocks. It could be a decent hotel with a little maintenance, a fresh coat of paint and better rates but as is, unless you are needing to be close to the train station and/or needing to save money, you might find a better budget hotel elsewhere or be happier spending a little bit more for the next step up.

This hotel was clean and in reasonable repair. The location was excellent. Central to Gare Du Nord with several metro line links nearby. Surrounded by a variety of places to eat and sights to see even before you step on the metro. The room was comfortable and restful and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was basic with no significant facilities but for the price it was exactly what we expected and ideal for our purpose. This would not eb a good hotel for disbaled people. The lift is very small and there are half dozen or so stairs before the first possible entry to the lift.

nice reception area, friendly welcome and very polite and helpful service. Room an attic one (though I paid for a double) and a bit shabby (plug socket hanging out of wall). Bed reasonably comfortable, shower hot and quite powerful,. Loo didn't work but swiftly rectified. Breakfast v good value at 8.50 euros. V convenient for G du Nord while away from less salubrious areas nearest station and easy access to Montmartre.

The positive side: Great value; Close to train station; Staff was very nice and helpful. The negative side: Hotel needs some updating; Ceiling in shower was badly water damaged; You can hear noise from other rooms.

Easy walk from the train station, nice area with lots of restaurants and shops, easy metro access. The elevator is a bit strange as 1) it's very small, and 2) it starts and stops in between floors (you have to walk up or down some stairs to get to it). Also not related to hotel itself but we stayed over a Saturday night and were amazed by the non-stop partying and yelling on the streets that pretty much continued till 4 or 5 am. Nice local chicken restaurant just a bit to the right when you exit the hotel that seemed popular with the locals and we had a nice inexpensive dinner.

The hotel is situated 300 metres from Gare du Nord conveniently placed for the metro and the Sacre Coeur which is within seven or eights minutes lazy walk. The room was small , generally clean but the standard of decoration was tpically Parisian tired. Good hotel to sleep in for no more than two nights though.

Great location, 5-10min from the Sacré-C?ur, whilst the metro station is a few streets up the road which leads to all the touristy attractions. In addition this, it's also again a 5-10min walk from the Train station so those Eurostar-ing (like us) will love the location of this hotel. Many resturants in the immediate area too although the very fine ones expect imaculate French speaking skills. The staff were very friendly and highlighted the 3 nearest metro stations and attractions on a map for us, fantastic! The room itself is average, perfect for a couple looking to use the hotel as a base for exploring Paris in a weekend like ourselves, however those looking for a longer stay should look elsewhere e.g. thin walls and not so comfy pillows! Can't pass comment on the breakfast as it finished at 10am, far too early..! Put in the context of the Préludes price however and its obvious that this is a bargin! Recommend for young studenty or those on a budget for a weekend trip, who are not too interested about the hotel and more so about exploring the beautiful of Paris.

Very friendly staff on the front desk. Newspapers provided, included an English language one. Vending machines and Internet access in the lobby. Breakfast is quite basic, but there are plenty of cafes nearby. It's very close to two Metro stations, so very easy for connections to and from CDG. Checking in and out was very quick, 5 minutes maximum. I'd definitely go back there.

2-3 blocks from gare du nord from where you can access pretty much all of europe and britain, kind of edgy neighborhood but cool, fun and apparently safe, maybe not the best locale for families/kids,

Small hotel rooms are the norm outside of the USA so just expect it. We have travelled to Europe and Asia numerous times and lived over seas for 15 years. We chose this hotel because it was close to the Montmantra however, it turned out to be the best location to explore Paris and still make day trips on the train as Gara De Nord station is three block east. Montmantra is three blocks north and access to Paris central is extremely easy. Lets face it when travel overseas the location and cleanliness of the hotel are extremely important as all we do in the hotel is sleep.

I was not impressed - very noisy, and neither lights nor TV worked in my room. Also was very hot and could not turn the heating down.

Perfect location, quiet street, yet close to transport facilites (metro/gare du nord). Friendly, courteous staff. Clean room, excellent clean shower/bathroom, nice to have hot drinks available in the room. Let down by breakfast, instant hot chocolate not the greatest. Overall served its purpose, couldn't have wanted for too much more in a hotel. I recommend it highly!!

La stanza era troppo piccola e non in buone condizioni....la biancheria da letto era troppo usata...l'hotel è per non fumatori,ma questo non era segnalato in alcun modo sul sito.

Ich kann dieses Hotel weiterempfehlen, vorausgesetzt man hat keine Rückenprobleme ;-) Das Bett ist nämlich nicht sehr rückenfreundlich. Ansonsten war es für ein Wochenende durchaus okay.

Výborné ubytování, hlavně skvělá lokalita, příjemný personál, super snídaně. Pokoj menší, standardní vybavení. Ceny velice slušné. Mohu doporučit.

Uitstekende ligging nabij Gare du Nord en Sacré Coeur. Kleine, maar nette kamers, voor een redelijke prijs. Vriendelijk personeel.

Placed close to Public transportation, Monmatre and Gare Du Nord, but the neighbourhood could be more freindly. The service is good but the rooms are very very used.

Vriendelijke mensen bij de receptie, kleine maar complete kamer. Goede bedden, goed schoongemaakt, dagelijks opgemaakt bed en badkamer. Airco in de kamer, tamelijk rustig buurt

In kurzer Entfernung zum Gare de l'Est liegt dieses Hotel sehr zentral. Zwei nahe gelegene Metrostationen machen das Erreichen der Sehenswürdigkeiten zum Kinderspiel. Das Hotel selbst hat einen sauberen und höflichen Empfangsbereich, die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, jedoch nicht 100% sauber (Staub in den Ecken, Putz bröckelt im Bad, Bad riecht etwas muffig), aber wenn man eh den ganzen Tag in der Stadt unterwegs ist, braucht man kein 5-Sterne-Hotel! Fazit: bestens zu empfehlen!

Et godt sted til pengene. Ligger centralt og har en god service.
