Bra standard på hotellet og sentral beliggenhet. Minus var ekstremt dårlig service i baren på hotellet. Har aldri opplevd så dårlig service noen plass.

We had the opportunity to stay at Savoy for 3 nights during our recent visit to Buenos Aires. The hotel is very centrally located and within walking distance to the Nationl Congress, Independence square. The hop on hop off station is within walking distance to the hotel so are the metro stations. The rooms are very well decorated and we found the staff […] very helpful. If the great Albert Einstein. & Eva Peron were guests there why not us. Would like the hotel to provide tea/coffee making facilities that we Australians have got used. That aspect was lacking in all S.American hotels. Maybe Hotel.com can recommend them. Starbucks and other fast food outlets were close by too. Les mer

Friendly, helpful staff and hotel accomodating about early check-in. Rooms are smaller than expected but lobby, halls are beautifully decorated. Area is not best in what is now a dangerous city for tourists but thsi appears to be true for many area s of the city.

The rooms are good size and very clean. The resturant was good and they have an excellent buffet breakfast. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

Good comfortable bed, fabulous shower, very kind staff. We had air conditioning problems. The breakfast was acceptable but not very interesting--lots of breads. Once we knew our way around, location was ok, but not a lot of high end restaurants I. The area, at least not that we found.

The Savoy Hotel was a welcome change of pace. Remodeled four years ago, it maintains an old world elegance while offering modern conveniences. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay in Rio, the hotel was close to the beach, but the decor and general appearance were somewhat old and dated.The rooftop pool with great views made up for some of the shortcomings. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff and personnel especially the desk girls were absolutely wonderful. They made numerous reservations for us and helped with planning our exploration of Buenos Aires. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is in a poor location, not near any attractions on a busy street. When we arrived we were sent away to another hotel for the first night because 'plumbing problems' meant we couldn't check in until the next day. The hotel is nicely decorated but I wouldn't stay there again. The food in the restaurant and bar is appallingly bad. There's very little […] to choose from the quality is awful. One night I was served a chicken curry that was simply inedible. A few chunks of chicken literally floating in green water. I suspected it was off. When my partner told staff it tasted bad and I couldn't eat it they offered me nothing else and made him pay for the meal with no apology that we weren't happy with the food. I went to nearby supermarket to get bread and cheese to eat in my room for dinner instead. The breakfast buffet is OK - same as any other hotel. If you stay here don't eat here. Les mer

The hotel was lovely. Initially we were given a room on the street, which I found much too noisy, so we swapped to a room in the back. It had absolutely no view and was very dark, but it was clean and spacious and at least I was able to sleep! The breakfasts were nothing to write home about but overall the hotel was pretty good value we thought.

We enjoyed staying here, considering the reasonable price. The bed was a bit too hard, thankfully I brought my own pillow so that helped make the bed more comfortable. We asked for an upgrade and they gave us a slightly larger room which was nice. Free wifi only in the hotel lobby, but staying on the first floor enabled us to get that free wifi some […] of the time, but not always. Early mornings seemed the easiest to get that wifi in the room. The free breakfast was nice too, good coffee and good fruit, lots of breads and jams, and cereals too. Guest has to pay a lot for phone usage , internet and additional services , like swimming pool for the price of room. Similar hotels offer these services include in the room rate. So it become rather expensive.

Although the entrance to the hotel is somewhat shabby as the sidewalk is all torn up, the interior is a pleasant surprise. The bar/lounge area has an old charm architectural style with art deco, high ceilings. Very helpful staff. Beautiful! I would recommend this hotel to my close friends.

Stunning hotel: lots of character, modern but retaining all the old character in its beautiful decor, spacious rooms and public areas, loved being greeted by Eva Peron or Albert Einstein lifesize photos in the lift. Reception staff were lovely - most helpful and pleasant with checking in, knowledgeable with enquiries and giving advice for getting around, […] tours and sights, safety. Breakfast was good (loved the champagne). The bar area just off the lobby is great: not your typical 'bar' but a beautiful and welcoming setting with lots of seating (small tables and comfortable chairs and lounges in clusters) to have a drink or food (very reasonably priced but no compulsion to buy), meet with friends, use wifi, or just sit and soak up the atmosphere. Beds were extremely comfortable with all the room amenities anyone could desire. Large room (we were upgraded) and separate dressing area and divided bath made us feel like royalty. Staff was extremely helpful with taxis, bus information, restaurants we might like and printed our boarding tickets for us when the printer didn't work in the business center […] (it needed a new ribbon !) We thought that this hotel was beautiful inside. The room was smallish but very comfortable. The bathroom, however, was spacious with lots of counter space. We were very pleased with the hotel. It was very clean . It has been extremely well refurbished in recent years. The front desk receptionists were exceptionally helpful to any questions (and we had a lot.) The breakfast was very,good. Would stay again. Mature guests.

It is a truly 100% Savoy experience. We are extremely impressed. Buffet breakfast comes with champagne daily.

This hotel is nice and very reasonably priced for a 4-star hotel. It is clean, and the hotel staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet offered each morning is delicious. The hotel is a bit removed from the major sights and restaurants, though taxis throughout the city are cheap and plentiful, so this is not a major downside.

Area quite dangerous and although the entrance is grand and lovely restaurant and bar, the room was very disappointing and small. Almost claustrophobic and upgrade prices were ridiculous. Pay for better room when booking online!!!

The concierge were great, helping us with bookings and general advise. The breakfast was good. Our only complaint was with the wifi, it was not available in the bedrooms, only in the lobby/bar area, which we found inconvenient. It did however get us out of our room to enjoy the bar area and its decor, not to mention sipping on a Mojito, while we attended […] to our emails. The hotel is old, and has a grand history which you feel when sitting in the bar, or taking the lift or climbing the stairs to discover very wide landings each decorated differently and reflecting the 'glory days'. I walked every floor to look at the paintings furnishings and photographs, and my only complaint was there were no name plates to say who was who, except for the lift. The bedrooms are large with very high ceilings, and modern bathroom facilities. Our room faced the front of the building and we were pleased that there was no traffic noise, even though we were on a busy street. The air conditioning works well. The hotels location may not be considered the top end of town, but we found we could easily walk everywhere during the day and caught taxis (very cheap) at night, and never had any problems. Les mer

The Hotel is a located close to the Teatro Colon (which is a must see), and the obelisk although a good walk from the centre is still not a bad location. Great quality of service, the hotel is located in a busy street in an area that must have been exclusive at some point and still have the glamour of the era. Walking distance to Corriente were you can find theaters and restaurants. Upon arriving the desk staff spoke English and offered us a room but my wife did not care for it , after two changes we had a large room with a TUB and shower , king size bed witha view on the fourth floor.We stayed for two weeks and each and every day the desk staff DEBRA in particular gave us advise about sights in and out of town. The Savory was recently refurbished and offers comfort and style at a very reasonable price. The staff is super friendly and helpful without being excessively solicitous. The buffet breakfast has an excellent selection of cheeses, cold-cuts, fresh fruit, breads, and pastries--sized to nudge us away from over-eating. Wifi connection was weak (the reason […] for my 4 rating overall). Several times I used their public computers to avoid wasting time. I like the Savoy's surroundings because the hotel is in the center of the Av. Corrientes theater district and within a short walk there are several outstanding, reasonably priced parillas with mainly Argentine clientele. You can walk the streets, day or night, without being harranged by money changers, touts, or sex-workers. Only a block from the Savor are the best meat pies in BA--La Americana, where an empanada and an ample glass of red can be had in 30 seconds for a mere $3--a bit more if your prefer to be served at a table. This is my first time at the Savoy, but it is now my favorite hotel in BA. I enjoyed the hotel and area so much that I tried to extend my stay, but there was no availability. . Les mer

The hotel is nice. Rooms are small, but just the right size for a lone traveler or couple. The beds are firm but comfortable. The bathrooms were nice - rain head shower. The tub had that stupid only half a wall thing so the bathroom floor was covered in water after each shower, but the bathroom was very nice and the water pressure and temperature were […] great. The minifridge in the closet didn't keep anything cold, but the selection was fair. The closet was a nice design with space to hang up clothes and your suitcase on one side a desk on the other as a go-between for the bedroom and bathroom. I loved that the hotel had a business center. I always take my ipad, but I needed to print tickets and the business center came in handy for that. The continental breakfast was excellent - eggs, bacon, toast, biscuits, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, tomatoes, juice, coffee, tea, etc. The staff were very helpful. The front desk let me check out late and gave me advice on day trips and directions to places. The cleaning crew didn't accept the tips I left. They did a nice job. The hotel was centrally located and of a very high standard. I have travelled extensively around the world and stayed at many 4 and 5 Star hotels and this would rate as one of the better ones for the price.The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke excellent english. Breakfast was included and was very good.
