Koselig hotell i rolige omgivelse. Nærhet til banen til sentrum. 15min. Reise med laus til sentrum av Dublin. Baren er også treffsted for lokalbefolkningen, hyggelig. Alt virker reint. Har rektorstolen. Svømmebassenget helt prima. Hotellet ligger i et industri område, greit å komme fra flyplassen med bil, ca 20 km.

For those wanting free parking, a nicely restored hotel with the charm of a different era, and convenience to get to Dublin via the DART in 20 minutes, this hotel fills the bill. "Friendly and Relaxing Hotel"
This is a charming hotel with lots of personality (great spa, bar and sitting rooms). The room is spacious and very comfortable. The Conceirge is very friendly , helpful and well informed. I would definitely go back. Restaurant and room service was very good also.

"The Royal Marine Hotel Dun Loaghaire"
Excellent location within easy walking distance to shops, pubs, cinema, Dart station etc. Room clean and staff very helpful and polite. Only downside was the as we were staying in a family room with 2 teenage boys the bed settee was too small. Gym/Spa facilities excellent and again staff were helpful and polite.
"The Royal Marine Hotel, Dublin"
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, our room was extremely comfortable and plenty big enough for my husband and I and our 2 small boys. There were a few annoyances though. On arrival at 5pm we were told our room wasn't ready and we were asked to wait at the adjacent lounge area. All the tables were either taken or uncleaned, so we had to sit at […] a table with used plates/glasses for 15 minutes. While we were there no-one bothered to clear the table or ask if we wanted to order anything. At the bar later that night we struggled to get our order taken again. The room was well equipped however the paint work by the window was peeling badly. Unfortunately our room had only a view of the back of the hotel. On the plus side the beds are really very very comfortable, we had plenty of fresh towels and toiletries. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and professional. The pool was a little disappointing, its dark and divided into 3 lanes, so there wasn't much room for the little ones who can't yet swim. The other 2 lanes were almost empty. I would stay there again, the local area is beautiful with lots of restaurants and walks to keep you busy. While we were there we went to the zoo and Imaginosity Dundrum both easy to get to by car. We also got the dart into the city centre which was easy and very close to the hotel. If you are going to stay there try out Harry's Cafe for breakfast, they do fabulous pancakes for breakfast and great coffee. Les mer

This large and imposing hotel has managed to combine a period opulence with a contemporary makeover - but not of the '60 minute' variety. All the additions and upgrades have been carried out with skill and care; Even the substantial new wings blend very well with the original centrepiece. My room had one single and one double bed and still had room to spare. The bathroom and closet space is in proportion to the occupant numbers. "Breakfast Mix Up!"
At check in they mentioned a hotel special breakfast for a reasonable amount. We were in a hurry to get to the PowerCourt Gardens and decided to wait and see if we even wanted breakfast in the morning. The next morning we went to the desk and asked where the special breakfast was served. They pointed where and we went in. We told the people there that […] we wanted the hotel's continental special breakfast. They said we could choose anything but the hot food at the buffet. We chose a continetal breakfast then were billed a truly outrageous amount of Euros for two, not the special amount mentioned at the desk the day before. When I explained the mix-up at the desk, they couldn't have cared less. Though the location was very good and the view delightful, I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Les mer

We loved our Ireland experience and it started here...The people are warm, inviting and always willing to help. The hotel is very convenient to the bus & train services that will take you into Dublin, Kilkenny and the airport. Dun Laoghaire is a quaint little town with beautiful scenery, with walking on the pier, coastline and the nearby park. Door […] slamming seems to be prominent in all the places we stayed due to the fact there are fire safety codes and the weight of the doors. "Royal Marine Hotel"
We stayed for one night in the hotel as we were attending a concert in the Aviva Stadium. We got the DART from Dun Laoighre to Landstowne Rd for the concert which worked out well. This is a lovely, clean, comfortable hotel and I like the location. I always have a walk along Dun Laoighre pier when I stay here.

"Wonderful stay - GREAT Location"
I had first stayed in this hotel in 1978. A great location in Dun Laoghaire for an old hotel. Gave all the comforts and staff was accommodating enough. Had our best breakfast of the trip the next morning. Conveniently located to rail, Dalkey and Killiney Hill. Plenty of places to eat inside and near the hotel. There is a 3 story mall and Easons located […] right next door. For a great dinner, ask them about the Itlaian restaurant just a few blocks away. Les mer
"Royal Marine"
The Royal Marine was a grand old hotel which has been restored. The rooms have been updated, and the public areas comfortable. We had a sea view on the seventh floor which was fantastic. The staff tried very hard to meet our needs and requests. The hotel is located about fifteen miles from Dublin's city centre. You can take the number 7 bus or the rail […] into the city. The bus system on the days we were there were sketchy at best due to the Neil Diamond concert at the stadium that interupted traffic. "Disappointment for the price and history"
Pics are better than the real thing. It's in dire need of some refreshing. Big charges for 24 hour WiFi service--in this day and age?? We received an an "upgrade" that let us see rooftops and bunch of pipes for the buildings next door, but with a good view behind all that. Pull out bed for son was lumpy. VERY limited swimtime for children--and they […] close the pool early. Waitstaff ran around like chickens with heads cut off during Sun. brunch, running into each other as well as customers and repeatedly ran out of things on buffet. We were halfway through brunch before coffee was brought and had to take butter from a nearby table. Won't stay here again! Les mer

"Marine Dun Laoghaire"
Room comfortable and convenient for train,boat and good underground parking free of charge. Front desk can be a bit frustrating as it is quite slow and you have to queue with check-ins and check-outs to obtain a car park exit ticket ! We stayed in Haigh Wing and at pub closing time it was very noisy as these people seem to walk through the hotel grounds […] shouting etc Ventilation in our room was poor and we had room door and windows open to get a through draft. "Outstanding"
This my second stay at the hotel. The staff are most helpful, the rooms are excellent. There is great value for money here. There is a gym and pool and you are close to all shopping. There are nice walks around the hotel. The standard of customer care makes this the best hotel I have stayed at in Ireland.

The hotel was amazing. We arrived in Dun Laoghaire without knowing anything about the town and were unsure of how to find the hotel, but once found, loved it. It was beautiful, with a fantastic path to the sea. Our room had a sea view and had great amenities.

We've stayed at the Royal Marine Hotel five times in two years. Close to DART station. Close to many restaurants, shopping, ect. Best Hotel pool I have ever seen. Good workout facility. Attentive front desk. No complaints!

Wonderfully situated hotel close to promenade .The room with the sea view we had was excellent. What a wonderful view to waken to each morning. Watching the boats in Dublin Bay. Convenient for touring south Dublin and Co Wicklow

Very Poor service, stayed 3 weeks there with ever week having its own issues, last 4 nights without internet, unable to do any work...... Staff did nothing to resolve the issue!! shame because its a good location but not good if you working away............

"Great hotel at a very reasonable price"
Stayed over bank holiday weekend. Nice pool and facilities, clean and tidy as you would expect. Easy access to Dublin via the DART. Perfect for the kids.

The Royal Marine is a grand old hotel which has had a recent update. It is approached from its own carpark up a rather cold incline but once in the hotel itself it is cosy and welcoming. Rooms a re spacious for one but could be a tight squeeze for two. waiting staff,reception staff,and bar staff were unhelpfull and rude,they constantly overcharged,brought the wrong order.The hotel was well maintained but had lots of halls and corridors and the staff couldn't be bothered to stop and help with directions.We had to check everything we ordered. it totally runied our stay.I stayed for one night only for […] a family function and would never stay there again. Excellent Hotel with all amenities one could wish for. Had difficulty locating it at first as it was dark, but found the entrance gates and car park. Beautiful Hotel, excellent sized room. The hotel was cool; it looked like I had driven up to the wrong place as it looked 5 star from outside and very cool from inside too. I got in late and left early as I was going for the ferry, but the room was spacious, and exceptionally clean and 'nice'. It was much more than expected for what I paid. I went out for a beer, there is not a lot in […] the area apart from a bar where everyone was up dancing to 80's music. This was just before closing time and looked to be hopping! I loved this place. Very old world charm. extremely nice people and very friendly. the hotel was clean and the dash and buses are all easy to get too. I would stay that the hotel again and again.
the hotel is convenient to public transport such as the dart line and is very close to the main shopping area which unfortunately is very poor with a poor array of shops.It is close to the pier and this is wonderfully refreshing with the marina nearby and wonderful views of Dublin Bay. I felt that drink prices were excessive and certainly from comments […] i heard were offputting in recessionary times. Nice hotel with friendly staff. I was surprised how modern my room was in such an old building. nice pool and gym looked decent too if ur into that. Breakfast is a bit pricey in your there room only, other than that couldn't fault it.

"Clean and Comfortable"
I stayed in The Royal Marine Hotel for two nights. The staff were friendly and check in was quick and hassle free. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet at night. Overall I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend this hotel to a friend and would stay here again.

This hotel has been beautifully renovated to the highest standard. We were given a sea view room in the new section which was spacious, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The amenities outlined were as described, with seperate bath and shower, toiletries replaced daily and the most comfortable mattress you could find. We did not eat at the hotel […] so cannot comment on this, however we did use the spa which was fabulous, relaxing and spotlessly clean with attentive staff and beautiful thermal suites. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at this hotel if returning to Dun Laoghaire. Les mer
