Elegant hotel in the centre of Helsinki. Short walking distance to all main attractions. Great specious rooms - our room did unfortunately not have a view, but we enjoyed it anyway. We will definitively return again next time. Breakfast was very expensive but there are alternatives in walking distance.

Hotellet er meget bra. Historiske hotell har alltid stemningen med seg, og også den nye fløyen ivaretar den historiske arven, i alle fall innvendig. Det aller største plusset er beliggenheten for hotellet, midt i sentrum og vendt mot Helsinkis grønne hjerte. Rommene er store og behagelige, med kjempefint bad, ingen støy. Hotellet fungerte også fint […] for oss som barnefamilie. Det som trekker ned, og som hotellet burde gjøre noe med, er restauranten. Lokalet var dårlig belyst og trekkfullt, men verre var det at menyen var så dårlig (enkelte av de få rettene i menyen var dessuten ikke å få hele uken, selv "dagens fisk" manglet konsekvent!). Maten holdt også middelmådig kvalitet, særlig når en tar det høye prisnivået i betraktning. Frokosten var derimot bra. Den burde imidlertid vært inkludert i romprisen. Les mer

Deilig rom etter en ukes tid på hytten. Siden hotellet liggr midt i sentrum kommer en raskt til alle butikker. Rolig og stille på rommet, selv om vi hadde rom ut mot Glogatan. Anbefales på det sterkeste og hit kommer vi tilbake :)

I have heard some much about Kämp as an Instutition . The experience confirms that this is true and I certainly recommend the hotell to anyone visting Helsinki. For the night or a place for a good meal or any of the other hotel facilities. A stay in the hotel even makes a visit to Helsinki more exciting

Got a great deal on one of the deluxe room at this hotel in May, 2011. The hotel's restaurant was being reconstructed at the time, but other than this the rooms and other spaces in the hotel were all clean and inviting. Only spent one night in the room, so I have no experience with the turndown service. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped […] with a comfy bed and great bathroom facilities. Central location in Helsinki, although it is such a small town you can cover it on foot in a day anyway. Friendly and accommodating staff in reception. Fantastisk hyggelig og bra hotell. Betjeningen er særdeles serviceinnstilte og imøtekommende, rengjøringen er ypperlig og atmosfæren er noe helt for seg selv. Det eneste som kanskje ikke levde helt opp til forventningene var frokostbuffeten. Den var absolutt bra, men ikke på nivå med resten. Perfekt hotell for en romantisk helg med din kjære.

Tragic to see Hotel Camp destroying the charm and romance of its original decor. It's so stupid. You have new hotels all of the world striving to muster the patina and elegance that Camp long embodied. Now it's gone. We found it very depressing. The hotel was very well located and very nice. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are nice and well kept and the bed was very comfortable.

The only fault this hotel has is that it charges an excess premium for everything from the internet to the room service, just because they are Hotel Kamp. It's no problem to get the same quality of room and service for less in Helsinki.

Kämp is not a five star hotel. They do not have a private car (sponsored or otherwise) to collect you from airport or anywhere in the city. Having to drag my luggage through the snow did not make me feel Ritz worthy. The management need to go to the 5 stars of New York and London, then readjust their method. Wifi €15+ Tea and coffee services at bar […] very beautiful. Fazer is across the path, you'd do worse than head there for brunch on the weekend. Close to Stockmann, Kämp Gallery mall, Athaneum Art Gallery, Kappeli cafe and the esplanade. Les mer

The Kamp is the best place to stay in Helsinki. The staff are some of the friendliest and most accommodating as well as helpful we've encountered in our travels.

i have flown over 150,000 miles this year with 189 overnight room stays. Hotel Kamp is one of the best places i have stayed all year. The bed was comfortable and room was clean. but the best part was the bath towels. They have the best bath towels of any hotel in Asia or Europe!!!!

This hotel is charming, very comfortable and an oasis after a days work in Helsinki. As a 5 star hotel I could only find 2 small details in the room - no central switch by the bed to turn out all the room lights, and no electric motor to open and close the beautiful curtains, both minor points but invariably there in Far Eastern 5 star hotels.

The Hotel is in a wonderful location and close to everything. It is beautiful and impressive. We however had problems with the thermostat in the room and could not get it to cool down- which made the room uncomfortably hot. When we brought this to the attention of the management they did send someone to the room right away- unfortunately he could not […] do anything and engineering had left for the day. Also, the shower door did not close properly and we pointed this out a couple of times and it was not taken care of- as a result the bathroom floor would get flooded every time you had a shower. The location is perfect, walking distance to most city attractions. But I was not impressed with the Front Desk service, when I checked in I was told there were not more rooms available (and I had already PAID the room when I booked it two months in advance!) and the only one left was a smoking room. I had not other choice, I wasn't even offered an […] upgrade. The room had an awful smell, a terrible view and the TV was not working properly, the receptionist had to go to my room and tried to fix it. If with all this inconvenience, this one is supposed to be the best hotel in Helsinki, I wonder how the others might be! Les mer

The room and bathroom were good size, unfortunately the carpet had several large dirty marks on it in a central positîon. The shower base had a large crack across it and the doors were not water tight. The breakfast was not exceptional compared to other Helsinki hotels. Hotel Kamp was everything we thought it would be. The rooms were clean the staff very polite and helpful. The location was great right in the heart of all the action yet quiet enough in your room to sleep. We also found out that this great hotel had many famous stars that stayed there like Elton John and Tina Turner. The rooms were cleaned everyday […] and the bathroom large and luxurious many towels and shampoos, bath salts etc,,, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Helsinki Les mer

high quality, what you would expect from a 5*. Missed a room cleaning and horrible to get to if driving your own rental car (phone ahead) - fine by taxi- but otherwise well taken care of by nice and properly trained staff in a great location. A fraction sterile and not very unique and obviously you pay for it in terms of extras (the internet cost is […] simply obnoxious and predatory). I was surprised at very reasonable room rate for the quality so kudos there - presumably with assumption of earning margin in extras, but in all fairness that is at the choice and discretion of the guest. This is hotel is deservedly rated one of the best in Helsinki. Reception staff were exceptional and the room was clearly five star. Only negative was the hotels policy to charge for in room Internet access - cannot see the business sense in this incidental cost but annoying practice.

Very pleasant hotel in a great location in the heart of Helsinki. Room was a good size, as was the bathroom and very comfortable. They seemed a little understaffed at the desk leading to some delays on occasion. For some reason they refused to change euro denominated traveller checks. The hotel is quite lovely, and obviously a well maintained property. I had a deluxe suite, which was extremely comfortable and well appointed, no complaints there. However, for the price that was charged, I was surprised and dismayed that nothing was included that would normally be considered standard. We went downstairs to have breakfast at the provided […] buffet and was surprised to find a bill for the very pricey meal on my room fees. The hotel further states that internet is provided in the room, and hotel common areas, - it is, but also at a premium fee. If you have work to do, or want to have a leisurely breakfast in the hotel without breaking the bank, this is not the hotel to do it in. Les mer

Fantastic location. Everything you wana see / do is around here. However, for the rates that the hotel charges, the rooms could be better. The upholstery is withering and the carpets inside the room and in the pathways are old. Still looks grand but overall, the place is looking kind of old now. A truly fantastic hotel right in the heart of Helsinki. Surrounded by all the must see places and fantastic shopping and restaurants. This was my first trip to Finland and was amazed by the level of customer service we experienced. No request, at any time of the day was too much for the polite and curtious staff at this truly 5 star hotel. I appreciate […] that hotel kamp is by no means cheap, but Helsinki is not a cheap place to visit, but as my grandmother always told me, you should never mind paying extra for something if it is real quality. I cannot thank the hotel staff enough for their help and advice and their willingness to accommodate our 14 month old little girl. It is always a pleasure to stay at Hotel Kamp, certainly with the reputation of the finest hotel in Helsinki. I have been a frequent guest of the hotel for the past 5 years. During that time, however, I have noticed the small things....towels that are not quite white....condition of the chairs and sofas in the rooms not quite clean...not as nice amenities […] in the bathrooms. Perhaps, now that the economy is recovering, some of these things could be updated? Les mer

I am a native Finn from Helsinki, living now abroad. Whenever I am in town, I go to Kamp. It is centrally located, walking distance from almost everywhere, including a few Michelin star restaurants. The staff is good. My only complaint would be that the reception seems to often be manned by only one person.
