Booked the room the day before arrival and got a doubleroom for a very good price. The room and bathroom was small but enough space for one night. Hotel staff is service minded, sofa and breakfast area seemed to be a popular place to hang around for guests. Did not eat breakfast (think it cost 8€), but it is several restaurant in the area around the […] hotel. Local french restaurants, kebab and McDonalds open to at least 2am. Free Wifi at the hotel and luggage storage available after checkout. The hotel is located close to the metro stop Porte de Montreuil. A bit far away from Orly Airport, but with some orienting in the metro underworld its easy acessed within a hour. All in all very satisfied with our stay. Les mer

Dette hotellet er slitt. Hotellresepsjonen er hyggelige, men kunne vært mer proffe. Heisen faller fra hverandre, dusjen ser ut til å ha fugesopp, og det virker støvete. Badet og rommet var ganske lite. I tillegg så det ikke ut til å være noen andre gjester her, og baren var en dårlig vits. Rengjøringen var ok. Prisen var ok i forhold til hva man fikk, […] og det kan virke som hotellstandarden generelt ikke er all verdens i Paris, og hvis det stemmer er dette et helt ok hotell, men vær obs på området rundt om natten, det er neppe farlig, men det er ganske skummelt. Selve hotellet var helt greit, ikke noe mer enn man kan forvente ut ifra pris. Men området rundt var forferdelig! For å komme til metroen måtte man gå forbi en gjeng med alkiser og passe på hvor man gikk så man ikke tråkka i urin. Vi så flere ganger folk som stod og urinerte på fortauene. Dessuten er det få ordentlige spisesteder i nærheten. Vi syntes […] nabolaget var så uhyggelig at vi skiftet til hotell nærmere bysentrum etter én natt. Jeg vil anbefale alle å heller legge litt ekstra penger i et hotell som ligger litt nærmere sentrum, og ergo i triveligere omgivelser! Vi angra ihvertfall ikke på det. Les mer

I did not know that it was a lot of road rebuilding in this area. That's a little difficult to walk on the street. This is a multi-races area. But the area has many fast food and restaurants, prices are ok. Convenient with metro subway Porte de Montreill, 15 min. from Porte de Lyon with 2 changes. Small bus shuttle from hotel to Airport Orly is 18 Euro […] per person, can be ordered from hotel. Les mer

Very nice hotel! Incredibly comfortable, and affordable for Paris. The location was not great, but the Metro made it convenient. Loved our stay, and would definitely stay here again.

for paris the price is very economical...but its not worth saving a few bucks. the hotel is very far from the downtown and sights. the train line is one of the worst lines. the neighborhood is bad, dirty, with bums sleeping on the streets. it definately felt like we were in the ghetto of paris. the hotel itself is very old & dated. the room didnt have […] AC or ventation so it was kind of musky. the bathroom is also very old. atleast it was clean. i've been to motel 6 in CA that were nicer and newer than this place - i would rate it a 2 star hotel. i would not recommend this place to anyone or stay here again. if it wasnt because we had prepaid we would have just walked out. my advice is to send the extra money and stay some where nicer!! The hotel room had no aircondition, but a tiny portable fan this was not stated when the booking was made, the rooms were very small and you could hear all the nightly activities from the couple next door, the shower stall was 2.5" x 2.5" approximately and you cannot go in forward but sideways I have no idea how they could tell what size of person is […] coming in to stay. On the way to the hotel there are homeless drunks living on the street. The front desk person walks around with her handbag whenever called upon so you have to wonder if there is a security problem or if you should leave your things in the room or walk around with it as well. No "free" internet. service in the rooms, phones did not work in the room, dont take a suitcase cause there is no room to put it as you could barely walk around the bed. Les mer

What a lovely surprise this hotel was! I wasn't expecting much for the price and was very pleasantly surprised! While the location is not ideal for those wishing to visit the major tourist sites in Paris, it's perfect for young, adventurous types who love walking and catching glimpses of real-life Paris. Room was quiet, clean, small of course (it's […] Paris!) but very comfortable and updated. I witnessed staff spending 15-20 minutes explaining routes, sites and restaurants to newcomers, and they were helpful and polite to me as well. Breakfast buffet was delicious, plentiful, with great healthy choices like boiled eggs, cheese, yogurt and juice. The 20th is home to some immigrants, which meant fun street markets and good ethnic food. Overall great stay. Les mer

As other people have said, the rooms are small and it's not fancy, but it was perfectly fine. It's very close to the metro line so it was easy to get around, the neighborhood isn't too exciting but there's a grocery store close by and a couple cafes and bakeries. The hotel staff were generally pleasant and helpful. I also like that they have free tea/coffee […] in a little lounge and internet cafe area downstairs. I would stay here again. One interesting feature was that there were both standard european and UK style outlets in the room. Les mer

Clean: the hotel room was made perfectly every day, also replaced towels, soaps. Equipment: wifi worked all the time and for free, plenty of electrical plugs (also 3 pin (UK)). Staff: all polite and ready to help, they gave me a map with restaurants recommendations in the neighbourhood Area: no security issues, I was arriving to hotel at dark without […] problems. Two public stadiums with tracks for runners. I used it for early morning run. Connections: Metro station Porte de Montreoul on line 9 is 5 minutes away Breakfast: I followed an advice from previous visitor and didn't take my breakfast in the hotel...then after 3 days I tried. You get a good breakfast for 8 Eur in the hotel. I was happy with it. Decision is simple: you don't go to Paris to sit in your room, but to spend 3/4 of your day discovering Paris. I stayed at the Hotel Armstrong in Paris for 5 nights and was overall very satisfied with their services. Oh, and I should mention that I'm a 20 year old female who visited Paris while studying in Aix-en-Provence. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were always left for me, as well as soap or other toiletries. Additionally, I appreciated the […] 24 hour computers and complimentary coffee during the day. My only two points of contention would be that the hotel is located pretty far away from the center of Paris with most of the attractions, and the walls are extremely thin. I did wake up one night because the people in the room next to me were being moderately loud at 2 am, but otherwise it was okay. As for the location, it is very close to a métro station, and that made it easy to access Paris so the location really isn't too bad. I also like walking so I would walk the couple of miles to the city center most mornings anyways, then take the métro back at night. Overall, I had a really wonderful stay and the hotel staff were courteous and nice whenever I talked to them. I can be a little paranoid about stuff so the neighborhood was a little unsettling, but I would say that it was mostly my own prejudices and discomfort that made it that way. I had a male friend who kindly saw me to my hotel each night, but no one ever made any unwelcome advances towards me the entire time I was in Paris. True, it is not the richest part of the city, but it is not terrible - as always, take precautions when traveling. Les mer

First thing that struck us was the neighbourhood. There are a lot of homeless people on the streets and even more non-French people who stare at you as if they want something from you. Metro was close by, so only to and from the hotel is when we walked those streets. Hotel itself is pretty ok. Except for the fact that there was a group of young guys […] next to us singing and screaming at 01:00, and the walls are very thin. After my complaint via the receptionist, it was a bit less. Just 2 minutes from a metro station. Rooms are small but clean. Wifi seems not working in rooms, atleast it wasnt working during my stay however they claim its available in all rooms :). Overall its a reasonable place to spend few nights within good budget.

This hotel was a good deal and safe, comfortable, and pleasant. It is not very centrally located but only 5 minutes walk to the metro stop, which connects you to everything, so for me it was a good location at this price. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I'd stay here again.

Location is great, shops, supermarkets nearby, just off the metro station, moreover hotel reception was extremely helpful, like most others we were early for our checkin, they provide baggage service, free hot drinks after mid day, free wifi across the hotel, the cherry on the top was a 4 PC fully functional computer facility complimentary with internet […] ( we had to trasfer our fotos, din't carry the laptop) Les mer

For a 2* hotel at the price, it was very good. Room was clean and comfortable, and all the staff were helpful (and fully fulent in English). The metro also wasn't to far away. If I go back to Paris, I'll definitely check for rooms here.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to metro station (Porte de Montreuil); easy to get into city centre Paris. Room was as expected; small but comfortable. Breakfast was, in my opinion, over-priced at 8€ each (only cereal, toast and a limited selection of yoghurts and pastries on offer). We felt the hotel was in a good location for the price. Although there was a lot of trash in the neighborhood we felt safe. The bed was rock hard and tough to sleep on. The elevator broke on Thursday and was still not working when we lefdt on Sunday.

You could hear the toilets flush from other rooms. The bathroom was clean, except for the dirty towel left in the bathroom. The rooms were nice. They are a little larger than most hotels in Paris. The Bathroom was as would be expected in Paris. The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable! The neighborhood wasn't that great - and seemed a little dodgy at night - but nothing bad happened. The hotel staff was nice and helpful!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to be comfortable. Not only was this hotel very far from any attractions - 2 metro lines - there was a huge construction project throughout the neighborhood going on which nobody made mention of . Jack hammers went off at 6:30 am everyday. And the neighborhood had nothing to recommend itself. No […] cafes, no sights, not even any charm as the buildings were modern and very unattractive in the area. The hotel itself had the smallest rooms imaginable, no shower curtains (?), no thoughful amenities ( not even a cup of coffee in the morning). A bottle of water was 5 euros! And don't even think about ice or air conditioning. We were very unhappy with all of it. Les mer

On the website the hotel looks charming and quaint, small and intimate, clean and updated, and a place of comfort. Not being from Paris, we had no idea where it was in relation to the other areas we were visiting, but every cab drive from the hotel and back to another hotel in the heart of the city was around 50Euro. The Armstrong Hotel was a nice place to stay in Paris for those with a small budget. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was what we needed. Would have been nice to have a fridge, but we did fine without. The metro stop is barely a 5 min walk, which is fantastic. The only thing I could complain […] about was the construction that was going on outside our window. They are renovating the streets around the hotel, and we had been woken up 2 mornings by the sound of jackhammers at 7am. That's not the hotel's fault though, but perhaps when you book a room, ask for one that's on the other side of the street. We opted out of the continental breakfast because it was a little pricey, but right around the corner a new super-market opened up, so we would just head there in the mornings to grab fruit and yogurt or something for breakfast. All in all, quite satisfied with our stay and would choose it again if we wanted to save money. Les mer

2 chambre de réserveés. les chambres sont propres, mais la notre fut beaucoup trop petite. Surtout la salle de bain : minuscule. Même pas la place pour les jambes lorsque l'on est sur le tròne. Sinon accèptable pour le rapport qualité prix. Personnel de nettoyage jovial et à l'accueil toujours quelqu'un pour rendre service.
