Helt topp. Både hotell og beliggenhet.

Et hotell som tar 200 kroner pr person for frokost ekskluderer mange. Ihvertfall oss. Vi bodde tre netter på hotellet og fikk utmerket frokost utenfor hotellet for halve prisen. Den ene kvelden vi spiste middag på hotellet, holdt maten ikke mål. Det var også bare en kelner, som skulle servere og drive roomserivce, som førte til at det ikke var noen […] i restauranmten og tok i mot. Altså: underbemannet. Veldig ok hotell, rent og stilig. Noe slitt, men en gammel bygning kan ha litt sjel. Perfekt beliggehet om man er på shoppingtur, og bare et par minutter å gå til opera, Den Spanske Rideskole osv. Kommer gjerne tilbake. Eneste minus var at sengen var hard, men det er jo en smakssak.

Vi spiste ikke frokost på hotellet, men derimot på en super fransk kafé; le bol som lå nesten rett ovenfor hoved inngangen

Vi var meget godt fornøyd med oppholdet på hotellet. God service, og hyggelig betjening. Veldig fornøyd med beliggenheten. Kort avstand til U-bane, Stepansdom, spisesteder, butikker og andre severdigheter. Helt grei pris. Hotellet anbefales.

Et meget bra hotell med en særdeles bra beliggenhet. Meget fornøyd med oppholdet. Anbefaler på det varmeste! Det er gåavstand til de aller fleste viktige attraksjoner.

Stilig hotel med marmorsøyler og kjempestore rom med sofa, stoler og bord, tilsammen ca 35 kvm. Imidlertid var frokostprsen stiv - 25 Euro - og den var ikke bekjentgjort hverken i informasjonboken på rommet eller i frokostrestauranten.

De som plalegger en reise til Wien har all grunn til å ta inn på hotel lAmbasadør . Respesjonen hadde en upåklagelig service og hoyellet ligger veldig sentralt til. U-Banh 100m fra hotellet, gå-avstand til det meste i byen. God tur.

Massive room, excellent standard and staff. The hotel was undergoing renovation of resturant and building works on street outside, which probably contributed to the large price reduction coupled with three nights for the price of two. At this standard and cost no complaints!

The hotel was great- with prime location, serviceminded staff and a fabulous room. Only drawback was that breakfast was not included.

Stayed already during last christmas in the hotel where service was excellent as hotel was not half full- this time service was a nightmare - we have been with our child and had too move in the last floor where no elevator acccess was available( despite pre-booking of 2 month in advance) we had to carry child buggy 1 floor over stairs to reach our rooms- […] when asking for hot water for the baby it was brought in a coffee termo which was smelling & tasting like coffee- plus the charged 5 euro for hot water- very poor flexibility in ordering food to room & very limited room service menue Les mer

I am used to staying in mid-range hotels, so this one was pretty fancy for me. The interior was very impressive with moldings, marble, etc. The breakfast was very nice, but expensive (25 euro). They do provide free internet, which is not always the case in Europe. Finally you can't beat the location right in the heart of the historical town. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location at the intersection of two pedestrian streets filled with activity. Within walking distance of most sites. Old hotel renovated on the cheap, unfortunately: styles mix and mismatch, floor is at different levels so that you bump and hurt your toes when walking bare feet, no outlet next to the bed to plug […] an alarm or charge a phone. The non-smoking section is accessible only through the smoking lounge. This is a historic building: rooms are large and spacious but can be separated by a simple set of doors. Since there is no soundproofing one can hear the next room neighbours cough. Still, the location alone makes it well worth it. Les mer

The hotel is lovely. It is in a prime city centre location and its architecture and staff are a pleasure. Some downsides for me were: a) Although a double room was booked and was shown on the itinerary, the beds were single, simply pushed together. The sheets and quilts were also single. Upon enquiring with the hotel staff I was informed that there […] are NO double beds, or bed linen in the entire hotel. This, for a hotel of this calibre seems to be sorely lacking and is - in my opinion - unacceptable. b) smoking indoors. Although many countries have adopted the "no smoking" indoors this does not seem to have been introduced in Vienna yet. This hotel has a beautiful bar, with 360 degree vision from above. Unfortunately, because people are allowed to smoke, the acrid smell of smoke pervades the whole common area. It was because of this that I confined my visit to the bar to one occasion only when I would have gladly rested awhile after a day out. c) Breakfast is extra, at €25 per person. Lunch or dinner are also the same rate. This seemed absurd to me and was probably a deciding factor as to why the hotel restaurant did not see much morning custom. Les mer

The Ambassador Hotel was just right for us. A perfect location in the middle of the Inner Stadt, and a very nice large room with sitting area and large bathroom. The front desk staff was helpful and was able to answer all our questions. There was a taxi at the door ready to take us to the City Airport Train (CAT) when we were leaving. Location was very convenient for a conference in Hofburg and shopping area and restaurants are very close, right in the middle of old town.

Excellent hotel, perfect location.

We were stunned at the location but also the elegance of the hotel. The rooms looked beautiful with period pieces and so much charm.

The Ambassador Hotel is a first class hotel in a first class location. Easy walking to most of the visitor sites with shopping and restaurants very close. If you stay does not include breakfast go elsewhere; 45 Euros for two people, nothing special and poor service. But go elsewhere for breakfast and the hotel is a gem.

The Hotel has an excellent location. The hotel is clean and has a good service (e.g.; excellent housekeeping). However, the hotel utilities particulalrly the drainage system in the bathtub has problems. The reception was not too friendly especially when I checked out, refused to give me no chages receipt . The room is smaller than a typical 4-5 star […] hotel rooms. The room has no carpet but has nice wooden floor. The room has no working desk. I would stay in the hotel again especially when no rooms available at other hotels in the same area. Les mer

A great hotel with friendly and helpful staff in great location for touring Vienna.

Fabulous hotel! Elegant and gorgeously appointed with an excellent location central to everything and easy to get to on the Metro and from the train station. Everything is only a short walk away and the cafe on the street in front is a great place to sit watch the goings-on. The staff were so friendly and eager to please. Couldn't find any fault with the hotel. Large rooms,blackout curtains as well as drapes. Well situated for shopaholics, close to the opera, where there is U bahn and S bahn.

Very clean hotel, helpful staff, Esther at reception was great. Very large rooms, convenient to all sites and shops. Only downfall free wireless Internet did not work well. Had to find an area in room which would let me log on and even then it would cut out. Overall nice hotel.

Aside from the fact that one resides in a beautiful hotel which exudes Ofd World charm, the Ambassador is the best situated hotel in Vienna for both seeing the beautiful architecture of the city and shopping the most upscale shops. We always stay at the Ambassador when in Vienna.

We recently stayed at the Ambassador Hotel in Vienna, Austria for a week. If we could have stayed longer, we would. The staff and surroundings were magnificent. If we could rate the hotel a sixth star , we would!

Overall a great stay, great location to all the bars and night clubs and easy to use subway system. Nice size room and great view overlooking the street.

The hotel location is great. The main walking street was just outside the entrance. Many restaurants were a short walk from the hotel. Our room was large. The bathroom was in very good condition. The air conditioning in our room was poor and on high speed was very noisy. Our room was relatively quite if the AC was on low speed. The 2nd night we left […] the windows open all night because the AC wasn't cooling the room very much. The hotel bar was poor and could not make a martini. I ordered a dark beer and got a wheat beer. My wife's margretta was made with bottom of the line liquors. We did not finish our drinks. The restaurant looked nice but was empty of partrons. We did not use it. We thought breakfast was too expensive so we did not eat there. Les mer

Right in Karlplatz, though very touristy, great location. Grand hotel feel without the ostentation. Staff was very courteous, efficient and helpful. Would definitely stay there again when I go back. Loved Vienna!!!

Very friendly hotel and well placed for a stay in Garda. Never found the putting green despite the sign pointing to one? Only complaint - the sun bed covers get extremely hot :-)

Floor smelled like cigarettes. Not a warm feeling hotel. Good location and very quiet rooms. Average hotel with OK service.

The hotel's location can't be beat if you want downtown Vienna and the room was very comfortable with a/c and free wifi. Room service was very prompt. Breakfast is very nice although very expensive. location is critical and the hotel offers the best location. Right in the center, in walking distance from all main attractions, shops, coffee places.

Was good but had to fight to get a better room where we could have street view as the room we were put in windows were covered because of scaffolding for external repair....our new room was better but had to walk up stairs from 4th to 5th floor, we did not mind cause it was a nice large room!!! This was agreat hotel however, they have building renervations happening next door and the room we were asked to take had the windows covered over so you couldnt see out and builders couldnt see in. We asked for a change and received a better room with windows not covered. We would have gone to another hotel if we couldnt see out windows for three days. We ended up staying an extra night in Vienna and this hotel gave us something the Hilton on the outer ring couldn't - location, location, location. Close to the train, the sites, the shopping - it was great. The room was perfect - nice size and clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
