The Best Western "Plus" hotels are really a cut above the standard discount chain. Very clean, nicely updated room, nice hot breakfast, friendly staff. The Coldwater, MI location was a very pleasant surprise!

This was a very nice hotel - very clean and comfortable. Close to restaurants and shopping. Finding the hotel was a little confusing since the signage was difficult to spot. It is in behind a KFC. A larger sign would be beneficial.

The hotel is undergoing renovation both inside and out. Because of this there was a large amount of noise, dust and disorder. While the room itself was clean, the rest of the hotel was not, Would not have booked at this hotel if known.

While the hotel could be clearly seen off I-69, it had had poor signage at the entrance, which consisted of a small sign, in between a KFC and Taco Bell. In fact, the fast food parking lot was actually the drive into the hotel. The hotel was also undergoing exterior painting while we were there, although I'm sure it will be fine once completed. Wedding party stayed in our section of the hotel on the first floor way in the back end. They were extremely noisy in hallways and going in and out of that back door every 3 minutes til 2am - NO KIDDING! I asked them to be quiet as we had 2 rooms at the end of that hallway and they were better, but still it was so annoying that we could not sleep. There […] were about 30 people who stood in parking lot and came through that door, back & forth every few minutes for hours! They left their room doors open to the hallway, which made the noise and talking their rooms even worse. Need to establish quiet hours! i should have said something to front desk, but I was trying to handle between ourselves. It would be nice if that rear door by the guest rooms could remain locked after 10pm and everyone needs to use lobby. Just a suggestion... Les mer

Nice staff very helpful. Hotel seemed very noisy. Breakfast was good, but dining area is small. Overall hotel was nice but not up to what I expected for the price.

When I arrived at the front desk I did not feel welcomed but rather was ignored while the young lady at the desk was on the phone with a customer. I’m new to traveling so when she took and swiped my credit card I questioned it because I was under the impression that everything was already paid for. She just kept repeating that it wasn’t being charged, […] she could not elaborate. My room seemed fine with the exception of a towel that looked dirty and I’m not sure but is there not supposed to be a complementary tooth paste? I tried to take advantage of some free points promos they offered but as I tried to use them they were not recognized. The breakfast was good but when I checked out I was not asked how my stay was. I grew up in the area and there is no reason for the price per night should be what it is. I will consider price on my next trip. The rest of the stay was great. Love the homemade cookies (too much)

The weekend at this motel was very busy. There was a high school football team staying there also. All went very well. Noise was minimal. Staff was pleasant.

This is a non-smoking hotel, yet the room, the halls, and when I turned on the bathroom vent it smelled like cigarette smoke. The hotel required me to sign a cleaning agreement if I smoked in the room but they have not thoroughly cleaned the room to rid it of old smoke smell. Service was great, plenty of towels and a very clean hotel. The Continental breakfast was fantastic, great food. I would recommend to anyone.

The hotel was tucked away from the street but the entrance was not well marked. The room was nice. The real problem we had with the hotel was the staff. During our stay, a large group of high school boys were also staying in the hotel. They were loud and roudy but no one stopped them. When I mentioned it to the front desk, the response was "That's what […] I heard." Also, the mood in the breakfast room was crazy. There was not enough seating and not enough food. Hotels.com got us the last room, although there were logistics between the hotels and hotels.com info that took an extra 20 minutes to confirm that room really was available and get the room ready. It was the last room in a completely packed hotel. Other nearby hotels were also completely booked at capacity on a Thursday night. Although this place was […] full, our room was quiet and clean. There was enough breakfast for all too--although stronger coffee would be appreciated. It was very conveniently located off of the interstate. It needed a better sign--there's a tiny sign that points to it but Taco Bell has the big sign. This hotel is really located behind Taco Bell. I always thought that Holiday Inn meant reliability. They should do an assessment of this place. Our air conditioning unit was as loud as a jackhammer - no exaggeration! Our sheets kept coming off the bed - either they were the wrong size or the elastic was just worn out. Stayed here overnight on the way back to Ohio. My room was VERY comfortable -- desk with office chair, cable TV, king-size bed, even a fridge and Jacuzzi in the room! I wasn't expecting so much with what I paid. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the free continental breakfast was really good too. I highly recommend this place!

Nice Hotel, good breakfast, sign from interstate easy to see.. However, sign to turn off of main street extremly small--almost missed it..Noticed many of the guests using the pool.

Hotel was located conveniently off Interstate highway. Room clean, comfortable. Hotel staff was prompt and very courteous. Breakfast was outstanding. My Mom appreciated the 20-minute drive to a casino. Would definitely stay here again if traveling through the area.

The lady setting up the breakfast was so nice and accommodating. The food was great and she came around and cleaned up and offered help when my husband asked for ice. We were impressed and will be back.

We saw the hotel, but couldn't figure out how to access it. The entrance sign is so incredibly tiny and it isn't even a drive-it is in between two fast food restaurants. very awkward. The hotel itself was great. Very close to town, walking distance to many places to eat. Pool was great and sauna was good too. The bed linen was great-newer and they had […] plenty of pillows. Only complaint is they need to update their TVs-old school. Breakfast was good for a hot breakfast, pancakes, scrambled eggs, REAL sausage gravy. Anyone heading into Michigan from Indiana traveling North on 69, should consider staying here, it's close to the highway, lots of restaurants around, staff was very helpful and friendly. Over all pretty decent. Two complaints... a group of teenagers that were staying in the hotel brought a dead skunk in and stunk the place up a bit and a receipt was slipped under our doors for a lesser price and we were told yes the receipt is wrong but nothing could be done about that. So didn't feel like we got the best deal. Not real happy that they […] did not offer any thing for the mistake of the receipt nor the skunk smell, but they are very convenient for our family reunion so I will have to make that decision next year of if I will stay there again. Very nice accomodations - upgraded sheets and towels a plus! Only downside was finding it -- the street sign was so low to the ground that it was missed on our first pass.

Great stay. Only negative was that there was a fridge in the room, but it was TURNED OFF! Who does that? Since we didn't notice, we lost all of our left-overs from the first night. Otherwise everything was good. (Just turn on that ice box).

The hotel and staff was great. My only complaint was that our bed was extremly uncomfortable. It was really hard and I woke up with the worst back ache. Other than that everything was great.
