"so loud couldn't sleep"
I will never stay at another hotel that has a bunch of little hockey players I had to call front desk numerous times through out my 2 night stay. They always promised to send someone right up ....that didnt happen so no I wont stay there again...and to all you parents out there when you take your children to a motel SUPERVISE them al ALL times ...people […] pay to sleep at a motel ,not to be on the phone half the night because you let your children run wild Les mer

the room was very bright and comfortable....tho i do recomend regular sized pillows as well as decorative for a little more comfort on the beds
The Holiday Inn in Barrie on Fairview! Well what can I say we were first given a smoking room which I had not booked, that was corrected but relunctantly. Then we had boogers (snot) all over our curtain and wall, dust. During our first night and second night we had hoodlems trying to get in threw our patio door and then our door using their key card, […] then swearing at us when they could not get in. On our last night we finally heard someone yell "SECURITY" at 10 ish. With an severe anxiety person all these thing trigger off attacks. so I would never recommend this facility to anyone because our terrible stay there. We should had the room we first booked, not have to go back to desk and beg for our room for the disabled. It was my first time staying in a hotel and I believed that this name ment class and safe place...NOT!!!! Les mer

Hotel stay was great until Hockey MOM'S and DAD's partied until 3:00 am after security was called more then 2 times, after that our stay was excellent.

I have stayed here many times. Mostly in the off season. But have always had a great experience. Hotel is always in great shape. And the personel are always nice a friendly.

"maintenance"
Hotel was good in most aspects. Except there was no hot water in the morning. We were told the boilers could not keep up and to try the water in an hour. This was at 10 am and we had to check out unable to shower.
Although we never enjoy hearing that one of our guests had a less than perfect stay, we feel the comments such as yours allow us to assess where we have opportunities to make improvements. I sincerely apologize as there was a malfunction in the boiler which was fixed that day. Regards,

"Great stay"
Everything was great. It was very clean, good comfortable beds and very good customer check in and out. Very polite and friendly staff. Indoor outdoor pools awesome. The only thing that they need to work on is the men's change room in the pool. It stunk and the lockers were rusting out (it was brought to their attention, so hopefully they look after […] it). My room was paid for in advance on my mothers credit card. I was asked to put down a $50.00 deposit. It was myself and my 13 yr old son that stayed in the room. Upon chekout I was made to feel very uncomfortable as the front desk informed me and all the other guests in line that she needed to have someone check the room before she could return my cash […] deposit. I stood there for a long period of time while all the other guests checked out with the other front desk clerk. I was extremely embarrassed and although I was pleased with my stay up to that point, I will not be returning to the hotel. Les mer

the only complaint was the price of the small cup of tea I had from the restaurant.
The accommodations were quite satisfactory. Breakfast was good but dinner may have been the worst meal I've been served.

"Great renovation"
I loved that the floor in the bathroom was heated! Very nice. And with us having a dog they gave us a ground room that opened up onto the courtyard. Only draw backs I have is that one front desk person was a little rude. Also that the plumbing was loud. Maybe that was because we where on the ground level or something.

I have stayed at this hotel a long time ago and all I remember from that stay was the pools. It was summer so I enjoyed using the indoor-outdoor pools and hot tub. For this stay, it was an excellent price and very convenient. Some things bothered me though, we were placed in a room with no elevator access and had to walk quite a long way which wouldn't […] bother me except that we had our 9 month old daughter with us, with her playpen, bags, etc... We were also placed in a nice room but we had picked a weekend were there was a kids hockey tourney, Not the hotels fault that the kids ran around rampant screaming till quite late, but it was very annoying. Especially, when I was in the pool and nobody seemed to have any regards that I had an infant with me. The beds were firm and the room was spacious. I quite enjoyed using the verbena bath and body works toiletries. Our stay was comfortable and we will probably stay again. Les mer
"Holiday Inn Barrie - close to Horseshoe ski resort"
I stayed at the hotel on New Years' Eve, when the ski resorts did not have enough room. The access from the highway was very convenient. The room and bathroom were pristine and the bed was comfortable. Facing the courtyard, I was unaware of the highway noise. The noise from neighboring suites was evident, however it was the night for celebrating. The […] restaurant breakfast covered the basics and was a good value. Staying at Holiday Inn Barrie after a day at hot day at the beach is so comforting. The Mandarin just next to it was a super plus. We indulged in crab legs, shrimps, fish and the usual sumptuous Chinese for another bargain fun. Pillows are great so as temp controls. Pool was very much adequate for lane swim exercise. "Holiday Inn Barrie Hotel & Conference Centre"
This one night stay was cheaper than one of our previous excursion's. This hotel had everything we needed and more. Indoor/outdoor pool, free internet, free toiletries, gym. Walking distance to Tim Horton's, Mandarines, Pizza Hut and Sushi too all our favorites. Very easy to get to and close to everything. Definately reccommend.

There were no drapes on a window that faced east and had three bright street lights right outside. It was like sleeping with the lights on. Needless to say, to did not sleep well. A pity, because the hotel(really a motel) was quite nice
