Svært fornøyd med oppholdet på hotellet , meget serviceminded personell , god frokost , mulig litt støy i spisesalen , men helt grei mat. Svært hyggelige og imøtekommende personell , både i skranken , og butikken eller han som satte vekk bagasjen. Lett å få tidlig innsjekking og sen utsjekking . Alt i alt , meget bra. Savnet minibar på rommet eller i alle fall et kjøleskap , men ellers var det ismaskin i gangen. Selv i New York var det mulig å få et stille rom.

Familie med to tenåringsdøtre. Fantastisk beliggenhet, flott service og komfortable rom. Suite Prestige med to dobble senger. Vi anbefaler dette hotellet sterkt om noen vil bo sentralt og vi er ikke i tvil om hvor vi skal bo neste gang. Det koster noen penger, men i forhold til beliggenhet og det du har igjen så er det ok.

Veldig bra opphold over 4 dager. Frokosten var grei nok. Vår datter på 15 var veldig fornøyd. Veldig god service i resepsjonen. Egen turistinformasjon som kunne gi mange tips til aktiviteter. Vi kommer gjerne igjen.

"Flott hotell men lytt"
Ankom hotellet og fikk god mottakelse og hjelp med bestillinger til busstur m.m Rommene var rene og fine men bærer preg av at det er oppusset på budsjett. Gamle malte dører, løse fliser på baderomsgulvet og eldre dusj. Det mest irriterende var at det var dør mellom vårt rom og naborommet som gjorde at vi kunne høre vært ord som ble sagt. "Bra"
Et bra hotell med serviceinnstilte og hyggelige ansatte. Fikk oppgradert rom ved ankomst uten tillegg i pris. Hadde rom der i 3 dager, flyttet så til et annet hotell som skulle ha høyere standard og var dyrere enn OTA. OTA overgikk dette andre hotellet. Pris, service og hva man fikk inkludert i prisen var mye bedre på OTA. Kan anbefales.
"On the Av - helt ok hotell med ganske dårlig servi"
Vi sjekket inn på On the Ave og ble møtt av en veldig hyggelig medarbeider som sjekket oss inn. Rommet var veldig bra - rent, romslig og med utsikt. Beliggenheten var bra, stille område, men med kort vei til Columbus Circle, Central Park og subway'en. Dessverre var servicen på hotellet regelrett elendig. Utover vårt første møte med den veldig hyggelige […] medarbeideren ved sjekk inn, ble vi møtt med dårlig attityde, frekkhet og mangel på service, spesielt fra conciergen. Treningsrommet ble omtalt som "well equipped" og det er vel strengt tatt en kraftig overdrivelse. Helt greit, rent og pent, men lite og med begrenset utstyr. Beliggenheten og selve hotellet er utmerket, men pga den dårlige service vil vi ikke anbefale dette hotell til andre. Les mer

"On the avenue hotel, broadway"
Bodde 7 netter ved hotellet. Generelt, var hotellet helt grei, renslig rom. Bestilte et queen size bed rom, men fikk et king size, så det var meget pluss. Det som kunne trekke litt ned på karakteren er badet. To ganger har det skjedd at ved å skrue på vann i badekaret så kom det ut en klump med hår, vet ikke hvor denne hår klumpen kom fra, men ekkelt […] var det. Savner q-tips og kam, men ellers er det et helt greit opphold. Avstanden til "sentrum" (her: columbus circles, sør for central park) tok oss ca. 15-20 min å gå fra hotellet. Personalet var hjelpsomme nok. Gratis internett kun i lobbyen... Anbefaler absolutt dette hotellet! Les mer
"Great Price for a great location!"
I had a very good stay here. The hotel is very posh and classy and I got the room for a great price!
The most important thing to me is cleanliness & whether the bed is comfortable. The room was small but perfectly clean. The king bed was extremely firm & comfortable. Both my husband and I slept extremely well which is not always the case in hotels;

Very pleasant stay at On the Ave hotel. Two blocks from the closest subway station. Good variety of restaurants in Amsterdam Avenue.
"Construction and hard mattress"
There was a great deal of construction outside of the hotel that I was not warned about before booking my stay. When I arrived, I asked for a room with a tub only to be placed in a street side room where there was drilling directly across. When I asked to be relocated, they promptly did so but they only had one room left. I would have been very upset […] if they were not able to move me. On another note, the bed was very uncomfortable. It was very hard and no amount of pillows could help. The room temperature was also hard to regulate. The staff were all really nice and it is a great location. Les mer
"Perfect stay"
Perfect in every way! We were pleased with the decor and the room. Staff was very helpful. Only a couple blocks to central park and subway. Surprisingly quiet too! We will definitely stay here again next time we go to NYC!

"off the Ave"
First room claustrophobically small, they were very nice to then move us. Next room had no hot water initially, then no water out of the shower head at all. My son had to go to sleep so we made the best of it.

Hotel had very good service, room is small but thats not unusual for NYC. Only complaint I have is the room wasnt to clean. Found garbage in the bathroom from the prior guest.

"Convenience and service"
If excellence in service and convenient location are important, then OTA is for you. The desk staff and doormen were excellent and the location is walking distance to just about everything the Upper West Side has to offer.

All I wanted was a wake up call,I went to the desk in person the night before they said no problem.Did not get a call instead was an hour late for my appt. the next day.He told me that I said I had a personal alarm,whatever that means......

Very clean, modern hotel with an above-average friendly staff. Nice gym. Quiet. Coffee & tea bar in lobby during morning hours. Close to Central Park & Natural History Museum, and a short subway ride from everything else. I booked this for my parents and it was just what I wanted for them. Stylish, modern, and in a great neighborhood.

The hotel is only 2 blocks from subway in a very nice area with wonderful diners and markets within walking distance. There is a beautiful terrace with outdoor sofas and chairs overlooking the city on the 16th floor. We bought desserts from the market and had dessert on the terrace every night. The rooms are good size for NYC, Beautiful bathrooms.
"Construction noise ruined my honeymoon"
My husband and I had no choice but to to check out of this hotel after the first night of our honeymoon. We were given a lovely room on the second floor and were very happy with the comfort and decor of the hotel. Unfortunately we were woken up in the wee hours of the morning by construction workers working and walking around on the scaffolding directly […] outside our window. It was the worst hotel experience of my life. I would have appreciated some prior notification from the hotel staff about the construction. I enjoyed this place. It is in a nice part of town. The best restaurant nearby is Nice Matin...so good...French. During a meeitng in my small room, mu business partner needed something to eat and drink, so the Pringles ($9.00) and the liter of water ($10.00) seem a bit rich, and there is no beer. This is the first time that I stayed at a hotel in New York City. It’s located at a very convenience location, walk distance to the American Museum of Nature History, the Central Park and subway stations. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, though it was a room, and furniture and wall paper were old. The bathroom was in a reasonable size, […] but the towels were old and lost of their original white color. This is a four star hotel, I expected they would have some kind of information for the tourists , shopping and restaurants in the NCY available in the guest rooms, just like the hotels in other big cities in the US. I was disappointed to find out that there wasn’t any in the room where I stayed. There was construction works going on cross the street started from 7 am in the morning and you would definitely hear the noise if your room window faces that side. Les mer

The GOOD: Nice looking lobby, rooms are very tight (kinda expect that in NYC) but clean. The BAD: Just started construction of new building across the street (7am-7pm... jack hammering, concrete trucks, etc.) so if your a late sleeper, try to get rooms facing uptown.... we were on 8th floor facing downtown and it was LOUD!

The rooms were small, but otherwise the hotel was nice. They put us on the street side and at 8 am every morning (6 am our time) there was loud construction noise. My only other complaint is that most of the time I went on a coffee run it was empty. It was nice to have coffee service, but it seemed like no one wanted to take resonsibility. "Cleanliness"
I was disappointed with the price of the hotel and how it was reflected in the overall cleanliness of the room. There were hairs in the bathroom and the carpet was dirty and stained throughout the room. Many of the corners appeared as if they were not vacuumed. It was very upsetting. For the price I expected to stay in a room that was at the very least […] tidy and well-kept. Otherwise the neighborhood and location were perfect. It is a short walk to Central Park and there are many good restaurants to try around the hotel. The subway is also either two blocks or five blocks away depending on which line you want to take. Recently stayed at OTA for a quick in and out business trip. The location was perfect, the weather happened to be fantastic, and the accomodations were very nice. Guys out front were really helpful in assisting me in finding a place to walk to for dinner and getting cabs. "Location, but..."
The hotel is in a great spot and is generally good - clean, comfortable, great terrace available for guest use, and nice workout room. The not so great points: room was too hot and thermostat didn't seem to help the situation, the elevators are slow on a busy weekend, and there's not even a bar at which to meet people. "On the Avenue Hotel"
I was in New York for the weekend and this was a great spot to stay. Close to everything and a mellow neighborhood to return to at the end of the evening. The staff were exceptional. Our room was just fine, small but stylish. I will definitely stay here on my next visit.
Great location, clean linens, even small rooms still nice and confortable, nice and helpful staff. I will recomended eventhout maintenance is not that well. In our room several tiles were loose and dangerus at the bathroom.
