Copthorne Hotel Slough Windsor - Slough

Meget bra hotell med hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Litt ugunstig beliggenhet i fohold til rostadion, Eton og Windsor. Ble mye taxibruk.

Rommet vi fikk (standardrom) var romslig med 2 dobbeltsenger og god komfort. Far og sønn på 12 valgte å bo utenfor London sentrum og ønsket et bra hotell med svømmebasseng. Ble skuffet over standarden og renholdet i bassengområdet. I store områder var flisene på gulvet helt svarte av noe sopplignende greier - temmelig motbydelig. Selve bassenget var […] relativt stort, men meget grunt (1.0 til 1.2 meter på det dypeste) og boblebadet var ute av funksjon så lenge vi var der (sikkert like greit så skittent som det var). Hotellet ligger i ingenmannsland, en halv times spasertur til Slough sentrum. Men den aller største skuffelsen var maten på hotellet. De prøver å fremstå som et familievennlig hotell, men den rolige og voksne 12-åringen ble nektet adgang til restauranten hvor man måtte være 16, så vi ble henvist til "familierestauranten" hvor 12-åringene ble anbefalt barnebuffet. Den bestod av frityrstekte kyllingbiter, frityrstekte fiskepinner og frityrstekte poteter, og bønner. Punktum. Søppelmat rett og slett. Far ble servert en forferdelig pizza, alt i alt der verste måltid vi har spist på lenge. Resten av oppholdet valgte vi å spise medbrakt på rommet eller ta taxi til sentrum. Anbefales ikke. Hvis man bare skal ha et rom er det mange gode alternativer mye mer sentralt i London, for resten av fasilitetene som vi valgte hotellet for var ubrukelige. Les mer

Even standard rooms are nicely spacious and everything you'd want from a hotel is here. The only things more expensive hotels provide is glamour, so if that's not key to your stay The Copthorne is excellent. It's also great value whenever they're offering deals and I'm please they're no longer charging for parking, which makes the prices even bett […] er. Les mer

I stayed at the Copthorne Slough from a Friday - Tuesday for a business meeting I had in Slough on Monday. It was much cheaper to fly into London on a Friday, so I figured I would enjoy staying through the weekend. The first thing to know is that there's no very good option for public transportation from Heathrow to Slough. I thought this wouldn't […] be a big deal because Slough is so close to Heathrow. Turns out taxi drivers charge a 65 GBP fee for any destination outside of the London metropolitan area. Just be prepared for that cost to get to The Copthorne. I was on a late flight arriving from New York. I got to the hotel at around 10pm, which is about 5pm in my local time. The desk agent wasn't very friendly. I checked in and asked him if there were any places near the hotel to get food. His answer was, "Little late for dinner, isn't it?" And proceeded to tell me that the bar "might have some food" and that there is 24 hour room service. Fair enough. I got some lackluster bar food. The next morning, I realized he wasn't kidding about nothing being around to eat. The Copthorne is literally in the middle of nowhere. It's just outside walking distance from anything useful. Getting into London proper is easy enough, but you'll need to call for a taxi to take you from the hotel to the train station (they say that you can walk, which is true, but it's about 2 miles). I mentioned the bar food before - that's about your best option. The caesar salad is actually pretty good. Avoid, at all costs, the Singaporean restaurant in the hotel. They talk highly of it, but be warned: The food at the Bugis Street is terrible. The noodles are watery and over cooked. The flavors are flat and under seasoned. The shrimp is severely undercooked. And then there's the Internet. Why a business hotel would, in this day and age, still charge for Internet is beyond me. It'll cost you 5 GBP per day to connect to the Internet in your room and it will be very....... very..... v e r y.... slow Les mer

Cheap and cheerful. Room was a bit cold and could have done with another blanket on the bed.

With the basic gym and pool/steam and sauna facility, it is always an extra come-on. Parking is accessible under the hotel only 2hrs free even for staying guests. I was turned off by the non-attentive RECEPTIONIST...she was on her on and was on the phone for not less than 5mins...still talking even we, guests were in front of her...it was fine if it […] was business but I / we notice it was a chitchat personal call...I made it a point she heard me asked my companion ..." it is personal or business call?..oh personal!!" only then she said to the other end...I speak to you later! Poor poor customer service and Front-liner basic presentation. She was smiley and had a friendly approach...just a shame on 1st impression. Room and its decor was fine. Les mer

Hotel is very tired, service in the bar and for breakfast was almost non existent with hugely inflated prices (£9.995 for a glass of wine!! Stayed in the hotel in the late 90's and nothing has changed - decor surroundings etc. If you want a cheaper alternative for an overnight Heathrow location then this would probably work - apart from that - avoid....Staff […] attitude was appalling. Very cute hotel, room was clean and modernized. The hotel is very old with great woodwork, some very small doors and some seriously ancient sloped floors. Great breakfast. Loved it!

Bathroom very dirty, bottom of tiles around bath filthy. Dirty brown marks also around toilet floor. Would not recomend unless going to lego land.We had to struggle with children for breakfast and supper,lots of children. food for supper was not good, we had no choice as there was no other food place anywhere near. Nice hotel full of young children going to Legoland . Room was comfortable. Parked car opposite hotel for free with no problems. Breakfast was very good. Gym and spa area were well-equipped for this type of hotel.

Perfect hotel for our stay - close to a quick train service to London (20 mins walk to station) and Heathrow to pick up our daughter. Weekend - full of families visiting Legoland. So bar on Saturday night was v noisy and small children sitting at bar (is that allowed?) - not a place for quiet drink at end of day. Dont Bother Room wsnt entirely Clean someones foot plaster was left on the floor restaurant was not only way over priced for the quality of food, an 8oz steak with 3oz of fat on it isnt exactley what you want to pay for The chips with meal were soaked on fat and disgusting Waitress was good and friendly and when the only recompense was a free pint, […] ie a Guiness, it was poured with a quarter of the pint as the head of the drink, unreal Iron in room didnt work at all and was replaced by someone who kept calling me mate.........like i knew him...wont go back. We stayed in this hotel for business and found the hotel itself good. There were many LEGOLAND visitors staying here also. If you want to use the leisure facilities I would comment that the gymnasium is adequate but the "wet side" is dreadful. Gent's changing rooms were filthy with mould on shower walls and floor. Large metal plate on floor outside […] mens changing room in pool area is downright dangerous. The spa doesn't work! When I enquired I was told by the staff that it was a whirlpool and the hot water was supposed to just whirl around gently. What a load of BS! I useed to sell these things. The pump and jets simply aren't working. When I explained this to the staff member he told me that this was how it had been for the 2 years or so since he had worked here. We booked this hotel in advance for New Years and wow we were not dissapointed. The room (604) was lovely and to our suprise we had an adjoining room with a further sofa , bathroom and TV. The bed was the most comfotable I have ever slept in. My Fiancee an I will def be returning again.

I know the hotel from previous years and I need to admit that this hotel improved a lot. The room was okay but the bath room and some other things still need some improvement. The room service also forgot the soap of my predecessor but the room was quite and clean. The only point here is that the Internet access in a business hotel should be free or […] at a lower rate... 12 pounds for 24h is a lot. The breakfast was full of variety. English breakfast and cereals were there as well as very good Espresso! It was a good start of the day. I have to recommend the steaks restaurant! The waitress was very friendly and took care of me even it took a while when she had time to seat me somewhere. It seems that the restaurant is a little understaffed. The meal was delicious and service was very good. I was a little disappointed at the reception when checking out, the bill was not correct (charges were correct) but the address and even the country was not correct , which is really a problem when requesting it back from the company ;). But summarized I was really satisfied with my stay even if there were some "issues" :). I would recommend the hotel. Les mer

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend away. It was cheap and worth what you paid. We was a bit disappointed with the swimming pool as in the picture it looks huge but it is tiny. The deepest point of the pool was 1.2 metres and so was a little disappointing. The food & drink was expensive, but nice. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. […] The only problem we had was the shower as it was complicated to work - but we had a bath aswell, so we was lucky! Very good value hotel, clean with good service. Very convenient for visiting Windsor.

Starting to look a little tiered but still a decent enough hotel, efficient freindly staff, reasonable food but having to pay to park is annoying !- why not just include it in the price? - why charge in the first place? - its not in a town centre or somewhere space is a premium Leisure facilities could do with an upgrade - the pool area looks dated […] and dirty. The Copthorne basic rooms are nothing special, however they are clean and comfortable and offer very good value

I booked the hotel for my wedding night but got given a smoking room with two beds. Upon explaining this to the staff, who were extremely helpful, they upgraded my room to an executive, which was most appreciated, Thank you!

The hotel offers various options that you can purchase such as the taxi, the wifi access, a drink in the minibar ... for a very good price.

Hotellet ligger i et uinteressant nabolag, men tæt på centrum, station osv. Helt ok hotel med OK rom og rengøring. Hotellet ligger også tæt på Legoland, Windsor og kan fint benyttes som base hvis man kun skal sove her, det er ikke hyggelig eller udemærker seg spesielt på annen måde end at det er helt OK og rent. Problem med de mange gæster om morgenen […] - der er ikke plads i restaurant og personalet arbejder hårdt med at fordele gæster i lounge områder mm for at indta morgenmaden - ellers er hotellet effektikvt. Voilà un hôtel qui en donne plus qu'il n'en prend. Qualité des prestations dépasse largement le prix de la chambre. Calme, propreté, efficacité du personnel. La seule - petite! -remarque est que l'isolation sonique reste perfectible.

Hotellet er lækker og billigt og velbeliggende i forhold til Motorvejen. Fin mad og sød betjening. Men det er urimeligt at man skal betalefor parjkering oveni - og for 12 pun per døgn for internet
