Vi bodde 5 dager på dette hotellet. Rommet har atkomst fra svalgang og er av vanlig amerikansk standard. Hotellet er beliggende i annen rekke fra stranden, litt langt mot nord, men med hyggelige omgivelser. Bassenget er lite for voksne, men ok for mindre barn. Rommet inneholder mikrobølgeovn og kjøleskap, men det er dårlige muligheter for å spise på rommet.

Det var stor forsell på rommene vi fikk. Det ene var ok på alle måter, mens det andre hadde en inngangsdør som så vidt lot seg åpne og lukke. Og i gangen var det litt dårlig lukt, samt at det ikke var særlig varmt på badet. Rommene er utstyrt med lokalt aircondisionagregat, og dtte medfører endel støy. Videre virker restaurant og bar "litt kalde" og ikke så alt for trivelige. Et pluss for gode senger og masse puter for dem som liker dette.

Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet nede ved sjøkanten og i direkte forbindelse med et fint gangsystem langs bryggene, og samtidig nært til Norfolks trivelige bysentrum. Betjeningen er hyggelig og hjelpsom.

My visit was just alright. I don't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel that did not have a continental breakfast.. My room was very cold and I found it difficult to sleep. The room was clean, but the bed was made strange.
The stay was fine. I was disappointed that there is no coffee in the room. I think having it in the room would upgrade the overall hotel stay.

Even though the hotel personnel were friendly and the rooms It was supposed to be non-smoking but the smell was very strong. My impression was that the rooms were orginally smoking and the smell is still there very strong. "It was O.K."
The room had an odor to it (we had to let it air out by leaving the door open).......Had it not been for the exceptional service from the young man at the front desk, we propablby would not have stayed there.

I travel for buiseness and have a tight budget for my expenses. I stay at this hotel quit often when I am in the Tidewater area. It is always what I expect it to be. So if you are loking for a 4 star then keep looking, but if you need a bed, hot water, and some work space, this is a great stay. As long as the price stays...

This is not near the beach. We basically needed a bed and bath, this served the purpose. Room was clean, smelled a bit musty. I switched the a/c to Fan mode and it seemed to help bring fresh air in. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. Front desk staff were very nice! Remember that most Red Roofs don't have hair dryers in the room, so ask at check […] in for a hair dryer if you need one! The hotel is older and about a 20 min drive from the beach, but overall it was just fine for us, especially given the price. We only had 2 problems, which were that the bathtub collected water when you used the shower (drain must be clogged) and on the second day when our room was cleaned they took our dirty towels but forgot to leave clean ones. We […] left that afternoon and when we got back there were clean towels on the bed, so I'm not sure what that was about. We stayed two nights and were out of the room a lot, and overall it was fine. I used this hotel three years in a row when I went to Virginia Beach. It is about 15 min drive to the beach - not a big deal. The area is not really a beautiful place, but who cares if all you want is some good night sleep? I have no complaint so far, and will most likely come back again next year, because this is one of the cheapest hotels in the area […] with no run-down facilities. If you still want to stay near the beach with the same quality of room and service, pay an extra $50+ per night. almost didnt pick this hotel due to some of the bad reveiwsi read but im so glad we did stay there ! we stayed a week and were treated very well . the rooms were clean and well kept ,the pool was nice but was like bath water . the folks at the front desk were very nice and helpfull,the beach was only 13 miles from the hotel and it waas a striaght shot […] down 284 . the price was at least half of what the water front ones wanted ,i will make this hotel home for us when we return for vacation in the future . a way to put it is if you treat people nice they will treat you nice ! "Not a bad option"
While the hotel isn't in the thick of Virginia Beach it's close enough if you're only spending the night as we did. The surrounding area is sketchy and not suitable for going out but we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room and the comfortable bed. "Very hard bed"
The price was all right for the room, but the bed was very hard. I thought it was the box spring at first. Had a problem with the TV, but the staff resolved that fairly quickly. The pool was cloudy, either from extra chlorine or trying to shock out the sand from the beach. We didnt stay any extra nights... checked out and went elsewhere.

"Crummy area"
If you don't mind sleeping with a gun under your pillow then I would say "go ahead and stay at this hotel." Rooms were clean but smelled musty. Front desk staff was very nice but still the area was a huge distraction.

Very convenient from the interstate. Very clean, very modern room. Mattresses were not the best - clearly time to replace them. Very quiet - never heard road noise, other guests, etc. Property seemed very safe. Not every room has mini-fridge, microwave, or coffeemaker - be sure to ask about these in advance of making your reservation.

The employee (Mr. Faruqi) at the front desk was extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel is nice if you need a cheap place to stay and you won't be in your hotel room the majority of the time. I mistakenly thought that since it is in VA beach that it would be relatively close to the beach but I now see that I should have looked into it a bit more. […] The room was clean but one of the beds had a cigarette burn on it. Like I stated before, we were okay with the condition based on the fact that we were out most of the time but I would not stay here again since it wasn't as close as I would have liked to the beach. We were going to Virginia Beach for the weekend & wanted to stay somewhere relatively inexpensive yet close to the beach. Red Roof is about 10 miles away & an easy drive to the shore. The outside is a bit weathered, but the room we were in was clean and comfortable. "So Happy, Pet friendly with NO extra cost!"
Excellent experience with hotel and staff. Friendly an helpful guest service members. It was nice to find a hotel that welcomed our dachshund puppy with no extra charge. That is not always easy to find. Also loved having access to a microwave and mini fridge in our room. Great hotel!

This allowed me to work on my laptop with easy at the end of the traveling day and complete proposals promised to those clients I met with during the day. My room was clean, and seemed like the furniture was relatively new, no bad smells. My only concern was security in the parking lot, nothing happened to me, just seems a little secluded. Definately a good deal for the price I paid.

The room still had trash in one trashcan and the sheets had hair all over them. Once notified, the hotel was willing to fix it quickly. The next day, one of the housekeepers checked in with us to make sure everything was alright. It turned out fairly nice for the money.
