Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando Convention/ I Drive - Orlando

Vi var god fornøyd med hotellet og vi fikk mye for pengene. Bra 2 rom suite med alle fasilitetter. Hyggelig betjening, enkel men ok froksot inkludert i prisen. Arrangement 3 kvelder i uka med enkel mat og drikke til. Godt utgangspunkt for Univeral Studios og Outlettene.

When I checked in for a 5 day stay I was assigned a room on the 5th floor. In getting to my room on an extremely slow elevator I found a workman installing some modifications in the bathroom, I went back down the very slow elevator to the front desk and asked for a lower floor. They asked if I would accept a handicap room, and I said yes. The room we […] received was #220 on the second floor which was extremely dated. The bedroom chest drawers were derailed and not really functional. The furniture in the sitting room was dirty and worn. The lamps and talbles were very old; something you would find in a 2 star hotel. There was a tiny little 2 cup coffee brewer. The kitchen utensils were minimal. The overhead light in the kitchen was well behind you and you could not really see what you were washing (a bad design). There were handicap rails in the shower, but not by the commode. Thank goodness I did not need to use the room as a handicapped person. We found that the toilet was leaking and wasting a lot of water, so we called for maintenance. He sort of fixed it, but it was still wasting some water. If the other rooms in the hotel were as bad as ours then there were a lot of dissatisfied guests. On the the complimentary breakfast. The first morning there were a number of good menu items there, but the hot items (scrambled eggs and sausage) were cold. The second morning the hot items were frozen omelets (that were cold) and undercooked greasy bacon. After those two bad experiences I never went back. I did not try the 5 PM offering figuring it was probably poor as well. The room, the breakfast and the 1920's elevator proved too much for us. We would say that the housekeeping was good and prompt. In summary, for a Marriott, this was not close to Marriott standards. We stay at Marriott hotels often, but we won't stay at this place again. Les mer

The free breakfast was really great. Had a huge selection. BUT... the security is something that needs to be posted. You must have a key card for any side door but not the front door. At any time night /day someone could have walked in ( not in view of front counter) and went to any room on any floor. We came in around 11pm and the front area was a […] ghost towm, i didn't feel safe. They need to fix the lock on the front. Also it would have been nice to know they are in the middle of remolding, the paint smell was horrible! Les mer

we had a very bad experience with this hotel, service and overall it was bad!!! -- first off the room had an odor and the room was not really cleaned, asked for another room and they stated they were full, which was a lie, and then to top it off in the Morning while getting ready there was NO water pressure in the whole hotel meaning we had no water […] to take a shower, brush the teeth and the kids were not happy.. .. Hot or Cold ... Hotel stated we are working on it.. and that was it... . -- A very Nice way to spend three hours on a trip home with no shower...esply with kids - ... Apparently talking with someone who worked there stated this is not the first time this hotel had water pressure problems... Will not stay here again... Les mer

The location is excellent and the cold breakfast is fine. But, when you try the fake eggs and fake bacon, you will marvel at how they are using plastics these days.

we stayed at this residence because of the hot breakfast and separate bedroom plus a very short direct drive to Universal studios and route 4 The hotel is on Universal boulevard which runs right next to international drive but no traffic so you get all the restaurants and stores of international drive on one side of the hotel and a direct route on the […] other very nice The hotel was clean but had a bit of a musty smell in the hallways and lobby the room was fine no smell nice full kitchen The price was slightly lower then neighboring hotels about 10% less I would stay again Les mer

We stayed two nights and we got everything we asked for. The hotel is just a few blocks from a nice shopping area and several restaraunts yet not too much traffic for Universal/International Dr. area. The room had plenty of space for my wife and I. Very clean. The breakfast was nice with a couple of hot items each morning to go with the cereal, fruit, […] breads, yogurt, and a waffle station. The only minor negatives were needing a few more tables at breakfast and weeding the otherwise nice landscape. We'll be back. Les mer

My weekend stay at the hotel was great! The breakfast was adequate, and the location was close to Orlando attractions (by car). The room was comfy & cozy, and we hardly left all weekend! The front desk staff was also courteous and helpful. I would stay there again!

Hotel is close to convention center and shopping. Was half the price of the hotel hosting our conference, and I could walk to it!

Attended multi-day function @ Orange Co Convention Center & this fit our needs exactly. Plenty of room to spread out, great staff & the breakfast buffet-all you could want except made to order eggs-was exceptional. Evening "snack" could do for a meal (Tue-Thurs only).Very clean & looks newly renovated. Never heard guest in neighboring rooms. Guest laudromat […] (fee), exercise room & free internet in business center & hook up in rooms. Walkable neighborhood, easy access through parking lot to I-Drive. Will be our choice anytime we're in Orlando. Les mer

Amazing hotel, clean, and attentive and dedicated staff. I arrived early morning from a red eye and they accomodated me in a room. Instead of the usual 'Manager's Reception at night they had a full blown meal of burgers, salad, potato salad, beans, etc. Oh, and free beer! Morning was the same with a full hot buffer. Free internet, great room (with […] a FULL kitchen), and neat pool area. I was sorry to leave after just one night and move to a corporate conference hotel (that is twice the price and not half as good). As I checked out I asked for a cab to take me to the other hotel and they took me on their shuttle - also free. Cannot argue with this. A definite best buy! Les mer

We got to our suite and found that neither TV worked properly. The hotel sent a maintenance man who really could not do anything. They promised that the cable company company would come but we never saw them...they never did work for 2 days. Secondly, the toilet got pluggged up. We asked the chambermaid for a plunger. She said she would call for us. […] We went out. When we returned 6 hours later it was still plugged. When we called again someone was sent right up and fixed it. We were offered another room but the new room was far inferior to what we had. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience and nothing much was done to make it up. Les mer

Hotel is centrally located, easily accessible. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are neat, clean, comfortable. Excellent value for the money.

Hotel bem localizado, confortável, pessoal atencioso. O espaço do café-da-manhã deveria ser ampliado: como é pequeno, é necessário esperar na fila por uma mesa.

Very good hotel. Good service, big room, good breakfast and 3 times per week even a (simple) free dinner. The hotel is located in a relative quiet area and is close to a lot of attractions. The maintenance of the rooms could be a little better (is still good). A disadvantage is that there were often long lines for the breakfast and not enough tables […] to eat your breakfast (in the breakfast room (you can of course eat it in your room, but personally I do not like that)).
