Kort vei til/fra O'Hare int. flyplass. Utenfor Chicago sentrum, så enkelt å komme seg videre uten å havne i tung trafikk. Koselige og høflige ansatte og Legends sportsbar inkorporert i lobby området for å innta middag og drinker til normal pris. Store og fine rom; litt slitte, men rene. Frokosten var langt over middels med utvidet continental frokost. Fitnessrommet var veldig enkelt, men fikk trent basis. Nabolaget er noe slitent forstads- men virket greit.

Hotell valt i utg.pkt pga nær O'Hare-flyplassen. Svært praktisk, to stoppestader frå flyplassen med t-banen (Cumberland). I tillegg lett, rimeleg og kjapt å koma seg med 'blue line' til sentrum av Chicago på same banen. Middels pluss service i skranken på hotellet. Frukost visstnok berre svært lettvint, med 'småkaker' eller liknande. Nytta ikkje dette tilbodet sjølv. Ok reinhald på romma. Var på to forskjellige under opphaldet mitt. Restaurant næraste nabo på eine sida av hotellet, også parkeringsplass knytt til denne, utan at eg fann dette sjenerande. 7 minutts spasertur tek deg til diger supermarknad, der du finn alt du måtte trenga. Også andre småsjapper og ein frisør. 5 minutt til fots til t-banestasjonen. Motorvegen like ved og tidvis flytrafikk over, men gjorde ingenting av betydning. Godt støyisolert.

Rent og pent motell til en rimelig pris når man må bo på en flyplass et døgn. Hyggelig betjening, Spesielt hyggelig sjåfør som gratis beringer deg til og fra O'Hare. Fikk ingen beskjed på forhånd om at frokost var inkludert i prisen før etter at jeg hadde vært ute og spist på Subway i nabohuset:) PS! Er det nødvendig å ha pornokanalen gratis blant alle de andre kanalene? Nødvendig å ha porno på tv-en i det hele tatt?

Hotelet lå kun ca 10 min kjøring fra flyplassen. Vi leide bil, men lett å finne fram til hotel. Toget ned til Down Town stoppet like ved. Kjempe hyggelig betjening både ved skranke og matsal! Selv om hotelet ligger nær stor flyplass, var det lite vi hørte til trafikk og flystøy. Flott svømmebasseng!

"St Charles - a beautiful stay anywhere"
My friend & I randomly chose this hotel, and the reviews were on par (so there were no surprises). The staff was really friendly, the continental breakfast selection was rather huge (with a multitude of healthy choices). The room was fairly clean, except the toilet and bathroom should of been scrubbed down more, there were ants in the bathroom (moisture […] ants, someone told us), and there was mould on the ceiling. The beds were SO comfortable to sleep in, with really comfortable pillows. The hotel was great about getting us a taxi service when we required one, and it was pretty quiet within. Les mer

"Anniversary Getaway!"
We enjoyed our night away at the Holiday Inn Express in St. Charles. We did dinner and entertainment at nearby establishments and the hotel was in a very convenient location. The room was clean, the location was quiet, the breakfast left a little to be desired but would have been acceptable if you knew it was a glorified continental breakfast. (warm […] items tasted like they were from a can or carton, not homemade). Otherwise great experience. I would recomend staying there to anyone, just go out for breakfast unless your eating on the run. Les mer

Hotel room/bed was comfortable. I stay here often just for the hot breakfast that is included. The hotel needs a lot of maintence in the rooms. The water in the toilet was running all night long and did not stop, I had to go and open it up and fix it myself. I told the manager on duty and nothing was done. Not even an appology. Might consider going […] to another hotel at a cheaper rate and just buying breakfast somewhere else. Les mer

"Holiday Inn Express for family"
My family lives in and around St. Charles, so this was a convenient location to spend the night. It was not particularly close to anything exciting or fun to do, but it was a very nice room for the three nights we spent there. The complimentary hotel breakfast was really nice compared to other breakfasts I've seen. We actually ate there all three mornings […] and were happy with the selection. Les mer

Although the hotel was well located to all of our activities and had a good appearance from the outside, our room had ants in the bathroom that seemed to nest under the ceramic tile. The walk-in bath tub had mold and mildew around the door frame. The tub was clean until the door was opened, then the dirt was exposed. Nice stay, no complaints other than the pressure of the water in the shower seemed low. Breakfast is always the same everytime I stay there and it is delicious.

"Nice but Musty"
This hotel was very comfortable, the room clean, the service at the front desk very hospitable. The price was reasonable and the free wireless internet was easy to use. I slept well and it was quiet. Unfortunately the entire wing that our room was located in smelled strongly of mildew and mustiness. If not for that, I would have rated this hotel 5 […] stars. Les mer

This hotel was very accomodating. We needed a room that allowed smoking. Upon arrival to the original room, the bathroom was a mess ~ toilet overflowed. We were offered a new room without hesitancy. Even though the room we were given was slightly different than what we wanted, it all worked out very well. The staff and cleaning crew were very polite […] and helpful. "Ok Stay - Noisy but alright"
The hotel room it self was good. The bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom needed to be cleanded at least once more before I arrived. Mentioned it to the staff up front but they told me I would have to wait till the morning as no one was around. Breakfast was delicioius however the walk from my room to the main lobby was not enjoyable as I was on […] the other side of the hotel. There was a lot of noise in the hallway all night, went out and had to tell the others to keep it down. Once again, whoever was working was not in any concern to come take care of the noise. Les mer
My second visit. I will be back.
This hotel, while an older facility, has impeccably neat rooms. It is only a mile away from a Wal-Mart and Chili's restaurant. While a little distance from Chicago, it is well worth the drive. They have a great continental breakfast. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Chicago.

We spent a single night at this hotel because it was convenient to the ballparks where our son was playing ball. The hotel was nice; wonderful breakfast. clean lobby, the boys had a great time in the pool. Our only complaint was that our room felt damp and smelled musty. "Not Disabled Friendly"
There are no elevators at this hotel for those who may be disabled. The breakfast was great! The location is equally good.

I would have to say they need to invest some money in renovating the hotel rooms. You can tell this is an older hotel. The bath room needs to be upgraded. Poor quality from the last remodel. Hvac unit needs to be upgraded. Room had a stale smell and was damp. The bedding was not clean. Looks like they never changed the bedding from the last people […] who stayed in this room. Les mer

"Older but ok for price and area"
Most Holiday Inn express are newer facilities this one was older little more run down than expected but still ok. Awesome neighborhood and close to stores restaurants and gas stations. Breakfast always good at holiday inn expresses

"Very Enjoyable"
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast had a great variety and very good. It varied from day to day, and was the best compared to all the other hotels we have stayed in. It was clean and always well stocked. Great location - close to restaurants and shopping.

"Great Hotel"
Great location with plenty of eateries around. Very quiet as it is set back from the main road. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Bedding was not the standard cheezy bedspread, but a comforter with a sheet over it. I definately will return here!
