Best Western Teal Lake Inn - Mexico

The rooms were very clean .We rented 2 smoking rooms. That's all that was available. The rooms even though they were smoking rooms you could barely smell smoke. What I really liked was the breakfast. scrambled eggs, Sausage, Chopped potatoes & sausage gravy. It was very good & Fresh too. Anyone visiting Mexico, Missouri will have a nice place too stay […] . very nice hotel...easy check in.....very good breakfast....friendly staff....

Alot of times when we travel, we have to work nights to accomodate our customers needs. This is the first hotel where there were no issues during the days(no housekeepers knocking on dooor, no calls to see if we need cleaning). In short they did what we asked of them and got it right the first time.

This is the best choice for lodging if staying in Mexico, MO. Great staff, clean rooms, refrigerator and microwave in room.

Smoking rooms only on 2nd floor;difficult for handicapped/elders. Odor from cooking on 2nd floor VERY STRONG and not good. Employees very nice and accomodating but not owner.When asked about decaf coffee, he said it's in your room but employee had some made when she was on breakfast duty.He constantly hovered over breakfast area. If you are staying at this hotel, you have to realize you are in the middle of nowhere. That being said, the hotel is not bad for price. Major problem is that there are no restaurants or bars in the area. You need to drive at least 25 miles to find anything worth your time. Unfortunately, if you need to travel to Mexico, MO this is your best option […] . Les mer

We were put on the 2nd floor & hotel has NO elevator. When I asked for 1st floor he said they were sold out & we were on 2nd because that's where all the smoking rooms are. So if you are a smoker know you will be taking the stairs. The first night we had an event to attend and when we arrived back at our room around midnight the whole place smelled […] of sewer. This continued all night and the next morning my husband could not even eat the free breakfast because of the smell. The smell was gone by the second night. The carpet was very dirty in our room, my white socks were black on the bottom from walking around on it. We had stayed at this hotel several times 4 yrs ago when it was a different brand. It has went way downhill with the new brand/owners. I will not stay again. Les mer

We thought this hotel was well worth the money we paid. It was very clean and kept up. Lots of choices including some hot options for breakfast. Pool/hot tub nice and relaxing. Parking lot well lit. Room well furnished. We will definitely stay again if in area.

I was disappointed in our room. Bad points were: stool run off & on all the time while we were there, tv screen, microwave & front of refrigerator was wiped with wet cloth and left smeared, chair arms were dirty as well as the table. The air conditioner was on high and could not be turned down, so we put pillows over it to stop some of the air flow. […] light fixtures either did not work or had no bulb in them. HBO guide was a week behind and looked as though a wet glass had been set on it. good points : the beds were comfortable & clean, bathroom was clean, convenient to stores & restaurants. I'm not sure if I would give it try again or not. Best Western is usally my first choice when available. Les mer
