This place looked like a cheap motel on the inside. The staff were all dressed in street clothes and many had on beach sandals. The room was a smoking room that I requested but it also smelled worse than that like damp water or mildew. The carpet was nasty, nasty, nasty and the room was greatly outdated. Stay here only if an emergency. Nobody ever at the front check desk and the place was smelly and didn't look very clean and who still has the old tube tvs? This hotel needs some serious updates

The location was perfect for our purpose of being in Lewisville. The outside of the Inn looked great. However, when we checked in and found our room the hall smelled of stale cigarette smoke. We requested a non smoking room with a king bed which we did have. Our room was not cleaned one day and we had to go to the front desk to request towels. I knew the hotel was older when I reserved the room but was very disappointed in the overall condition. The bathroom inside the room needed a lot of work, LARGE roach was found below the toilet on the first night. Continental breakfast consisted of milk and juice from a store bought gallon container and a loaf of bread with a large jar of peanut butter […] that everyone was suppose to eat from. small individual wrapped pastries, bananas and a few apples. The lobby was nice but the room was horrible. The carpet was so worn and dirty I was afraid to take my shoes off. The bathroom sink was dirty and the towels were dingy. We were supposedly in a nonsmoking area but the hallway stunk of cigarettes.I was so anxious to get out of there I didn't even look to see what the free breakfast was like.

Hotel stay was a nice experience. The customer service person was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was located near the places we wanted and was a very good value for the stay. Will probably stay there again in the future.

They Turn off your AC if you not put the do not disturbed sign on your door. This is hole in the shower walls, no lid to the pot. smell of dead fish in the halls.

Good if you are looking for a cheap place to sleep. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly. Overall hotel is old and kind of run down...drains are slow, water pressure is low, etc. It was advertised with breakfast (JOKE...it's good if you like little kid powered sugar donuts and mushy fruit) and a pool (covered like it […] was winterized). Very disappointed in the hotel. Pictures look nice, but the truth is that the hotel and the rooms are very unclean. The towels are dirty and stained.

The pool was closed, covered with a dead animal on it. The hotel had a bad musty smell.

The overall stay was below average, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull. The hotel itself was in need of updating, and remodel. The rooms were kinda small, but showers had good pressure and AC was cold. The pool was closed for an unknown reason and the hotel has people living full time in it. When we first arrived we were offered room 129. As soon as we entered the room It had a very curious smell. Very damp and odd. As in any new hotel I've never been too, I searched the room for any bugs or anything that would make me feel unsafe. I went to plug my iPhone charger in nearest the bed. It was located right behind the bed and I had found chunks […] of drywall as if there had been something recently repaired. On the floor behind bed was big mold that had grown for a while. So we switched rooms and the front desk person graciously switched our rooms. New room much better. The shower pressure was at all great unless you wanted it scolding hot. my first room was trashed. It wasnt clean at all. My second room smelled like urine, had no Iron (clerk gave me one after i asked for it.) and i had no freaking phone. I asked the clerk to replace it but they didnt. so in case of emergency i couldnt even dial 911.

This property is old and filthy. Looks like an abandoned property with cigarrette butts, candy wrappers all over the parking lot and entrance to the facility. Very old towels, bed sheets, pillow cases etc. Smells awful. Brioken dusty juice machine. If you are going to offer a breakfast service, at least make it presentable. A little bit of cleanliness […] and fabreeze can go a long way to make even an old property somewhat presentable. The owners should shut it down or renovate the property even if you only have ten presentable rooms. Les mer

The clerk was very efficient and helpful. Bed are comfy. The only bad thing which wasn't a big deal was the quality of the tv but it played just fine with no picture problems or anything like that.

A low-grade motel. Kinda scary, and definitely in need of a major refresh/remodel in every way. With so many other (and newer) motels along the 35E corridor north of Dallas, this place does not stand a chance unless it ups its game.

Check-in was quick and easy...staff was very friendly, room was clean...all that was left at the continental breakfast at 9ish was one apple and a little cereal...but that was okay because IHOP is right next door. :) If you don't require a lot of amenities, this hotel will do.

Hotel is nasty and falling apart!! Everything is old and showing it!! Bed was uncomfortable and rooms smelled musky! Customer service is unfriendly and unwelcoming to their customers!! This place is only a VERY last minute option if all else fails!!

The room was clean and ever so quite! We were able to sleep all night and awake the next morning refreshed and ready to go. We stay there again when we are in Lewisville.

If you need an affordable place to stay overnight, clean, neat, with all the basics you need to feel comfortable, this is a hotel to consider. It even had cereal, muffins and coffee for breakfast. My husband and I went to TX for a business trip and were very pleased with our experience at the Select Inn.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. It wasn't the nicest I've ever been to, but it wasn't the worst either. This is a good, affordable option in a convenient location if you are going to be in the area for a couple nights. Some reviews make comments about the smell - it's obvious that there are smoking rooms. You can't hide that. My room wasn't bad, […] but you could definitely smell smoke in the lobby. The minute I walked in, I knew something was wrong. The place looks like a run down hotel built in the 70s. It was not clean at all. When you get to your room, there is an immediate smell that can only be described as terrible BO. The blankets have stains on them - totally disgusting. The pillows had stains on them. EVERY SINGLE towel had a stain on […] it. When the room cleaning lady cleaned the place, she did not replace the blankets or sheets. She just simply remade the bed. The bed is sunk in the middle like the mattress hasn't been changed in 10 years. I have never been so repulsed in my life. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT STAY HERE. The young man at the front desk was friendly and helpful, but that's the only positive thing I can say about our five night stay. The first sign of trouble was the nearly empty parking lot. Here's what followed: Stained sheets and towels with holes in the middle. Loud highway noise. A curtain that didn't block the street lights. Torn shower curtain. […] Bad smell in the hall. Sad breakfasts. No maid service one day. Sheets too small for the king size bed. Limited stations on TV. One set of stained sheets was replaced with another set of stained sheets. You can't find a better price for a room accommodating a family. However, it is in serious need of an upgrade. I felt dirty sleeping there, yuck!! The breakfast was nothing to speak a either. Spend the few extra dollars to get a better quality room.

Would not recommend unless it's a money issue. You get what you pay for. Room was clean but the dest was little help. Pay 10$ more and get a much nicer room. Breakfast was a jar of peanut butter and a loaft of bread. I had cereal and milk. The next night I stayed at a different hotel for $10 more and would say it was much nicer and a hot breakfast.

The price was decent, but the room was smelly. Someone had obviously had large dogs in the room recently and it was not throroughly cleaned afterwards. The bed was uncomfortable and you can hear EVERYTHING that happens in any other room on the entire floor. Horrible.

Needed a cheap place to spend the night and I got it! The room was fine and I wasn't expecting anything but the 2 giant roaches in the bathroom were quite a shock!!! I just wanted a place to crash for the night but roaches are UNACCEPTABLE!

The Hotel was clean and convenient to Downtown Lewisville. The bed was comfortable and the room was ok. I would recommend this stay for a 1 or 2 night quick stop over where you need something simple and just a place to sleep ... It is a great value....for the money.

My husband and I stayed at the Select Inn while visiting Dallas for a wedding. We could tell this was a building that had changed hands quite a bit over the years. It wasn't run down... just old. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. If you're only looking for a place to rest your head at night, this is a great value.
