Embassy Suites Newark - Wilmington/South - Newark

I was in town for a wedding. Chose not to stay at the the hotel where the wedding was because Embassy offered the best value. The Suite was big enough to accomodate everyone. Breakfast and cocktail hour were great. There is a TGI Fridays attached to the hotel for convenience. We had one minor maintenance issue. It was wonderful! I will definitely be back.

Overall good. Only complaint none of the soda machines worked on our floor or next 2 floors.

Convenient to Univ of Delaware and major highways. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was large - with separate living room and bedroom. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet was simple, but good and plentiful.

ES Wilmington/Newark was a good experience. Convenient to I-95 and U of Delaware, close to restaurants with a TGI Friday's attached to the hotel itself. Great comp breakfast with made to order omelettes, waffles, etc. Indoor pool was a little small but fortunately not too full when we used it. Housekeeping was very good.

We stayed at this embassy to attend an alumni event. The only con was that it was too cold to walk back from Main Street and a cabbie tried to rip us off by charging us $30 for the 3 mile trip back. We got him down to $20. There was also a kids hockey convention in town, but the bed is situated in the back of the room, so we couldn't hear a thing in […] the bedroom. Great stay. I have already recommended staying at Embassy Suites. Very nice accommodations - good response (actually very quickly good) in correcting a problem with toilet (management was not aware of the problem). Area is somewhat congested but we come from Georgia where travelling, parking, etc. is no problem at all. Breakfast was wonderful as was the evening […] Manager's offering. Carpeting in room showed attempt to clean but with the fine decor it would appear to need new carpeting to finish it off. Overall this was a very satisfactory accomodation and thank you. Les mer

Stayed at the Embassy Suites in Newark De, it was a beautiful hotel, with top notch staff. The room was awesome, I have absolutely no complaints, just lot's and lot's of praises.

M y husband and I enjoyed our stay for that night. The room set was perfect. He watch football in one room, I read my book in the other. The only complaint that we had was the Mangers Special. That day there were several children in the hotel for some sports events. When we went down to take advantage of the special at 5:30 alot of the snacks were gone. […] The special was from 5 to 7. Great hotel - have stayed here twice before. Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, useful business room with internet and close the the main street and university. Only improvement that could be made is to the leisure facilities which are a bit basic.

This was a very nice, and clean hotel.. The counter people were very kind. This isn't a complaint only a suggestion. When we were getting breakfast(which was great) a lady met us in line to get us a beverage. It was impossible to hold the drink, the plate, utensils, and make toast. Very nice hotel. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast with plenty of choice, close to Delaware University. 5 minute drive from Main Street which has a wide variety of cafes, shops and restaurants. 5 minute drive from The Pond Ice Skating Arena. A good base to explore the area. Only downside - the pool could have been warmer!

The room was clean and quiet, Me and my wife stayed there over Easter Weekend. There were college kids from James Madison in the hotel running around and yet when we were in our room we did not hear a thing. The breakfast each morning was AWESOME!!! This is a great hotel,easy to find, and very comfortable. My only complaint was paying for internet […] access that was slightly better than using the free wireless signal from the hotel next door. We stayed in this Embassy Suites for one night while visiting Wilmington. The hotel had ample parking, and the lobby and rooms had the familiar look of Embassy Suites. With 3 kids in tow, it is wonderful to have a 2 room suite. There is a place for everyone to sleep! The pool and hot tub area were very nice, with plenty of towels, which is rare to […] see. The complimentary breakfast beats out most free breakfasts at other hotels. There was a staff member creating custom egg omlets, and several staff members clearing and cleaning tables, and even more staff offering to get your beverages for you and choose a table. Very nice stay overall. Would definitely return if in the area. Les mer

Great location to University of Delaware. Nice, clean, comfortable room. Excellent staff. Wonderful, full breakfast complimentary!

I came for only one night. Stayed two!! Lobby was beautiful. TGIFridays on sight was nice, especially with room. Complimentary drinks were a nice bonus. King size suite had everything!!!! Would LOVE to come back again. I live nearby and only came up to have a little getaway with friends and we loved it. thanks!!!

The hotel was across the street from the University of Delaware which we were visiting, so it was very convenient. The manager's reception was generous, both food and drink wise, and can suffice as dinner. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. With both offerings, it is an excellent value. Just be sure to request a room not next to the highway […] and not next to an ice machine. Les mer

The entrances to the suites are off a large central atrium in this hotel. In the atrium people have social gatherings and are very noisy. The noise carried up to our room on the 5th floor. The entrance door to the suite opened into a small living area with sofa, chair, small writing desk, televion and fridge, and there was another door connecting to […] the bedroom. The layout was great for our family of four. Those who were not ready to sleep could sit in the living area and read or watch television. I thought the connecting door between the bedroom and living room could have been heavier and more soundproofed. That would have helped a lot (and would have cut the noise from out in the atrium). Basically the room would have been very satisfactory if not for its unfornunate arrangement around the central atrium. The room itself was very clean, updated, with luxury linens and two queen beds.The bathroom was very clean with thick large bath towels. One bad point was the $10 per day wireless internet fee. I thought this was unnecessary and with more hotels offering free wifi these days I would have to think twice about returning a hotel that still charges for it, particularly if the travel included multiple overnights. Très bon hotel, avec des chambres spacieuses et un cadre idéal au repos J'y reviendrai sans aucun doute.
