Comfort Suites Lufkin - Lufkin

Only booked this hotel because I the indoor pool but when we checked in we realized it was closed for repairs. We were able to walk next door to another hotels outdoor pool but it was freezing. The drain on the tub was broke and wouldn't hold water. I called and she said she would try and get someone from maintenance but they never showed up nor did […] she ever call me. I'm sure I could have switched rooms but I was by myself with 2 young kids so we just took showers. The room was ok had a damp musty smell, the breakfast was good. Les mer

Easy to find and less expensive than surrounding hotels. Clean and comfortable. Fruit was out before breakfast was officially open which was nice because we left early am.

The evening staff at Comfort Suites Lufkin were superb. We were greeted warmly, and the staff provided great small talk as they sorted out the slight confusion with the reservation through Hotels.com. The room was clean and fresh smelling. The small couch/lounge area in each room is quite comforting. Our television was starting to go bad, you could […] tell by the lines at the top of the screen. We informed the staff, just as an FYI, and they offered to bring us another immediately. I didn't opt for that, as I didn't expect to be awake for long, but I really appreciated the offer. Conveniently located on 59, about a mile South of the mall, and lots of shopping and restaurants. I recommend this place as a business traveler. Les mer

Room 119- the A/C did not work. Front desk help unplugged it, plugged it back in, turned down A/C temp to 60 ( as far as it goes) - nothing. Turned on heater, then turned down A/C to 60 - it worked. BUT- only when set to 60 degrees! Set at 61 and it stops and repeat above all over. Desk wanted to replace it at 10:00 at night and i was dead tired. Couldn't […] get another room- the hotel was booked. Couldn't go to another hotel as the whole town was booked. So, i listend to the A/C cycle every 10 mins and covered up with blankets, didn't sleep much. starting at 5 in the morning heard a steady, continuopus knocking sound coming form across the hall. I went to the desk to point this out ( you could hear it at the front desk!) and they said they were wondering what that noise was and said they would report it to maintenance. Also, The right side hotel entry door cardkey did not function, so once you went out, you were locked out, and had to go through the main entrance. You could never use this as a hotel entrance for the same reason. I also reported this to the front desk in person.One of the worst nights i have ever had at a hotel. I won't be going back. Les mer

Nice hotel, clean rooms, but needs updating. Old exercise room and older main rooms that need updating.

It was pretty clean, the carpet seemed as if it needed to be shampooed. The electrical plug in the base of the lamp on the desk was loose. The staff I came in contact with were very helpful and kind. The lid to the coffee carafe was the wrong one and wouldn't stay on. There was a lot of static on the hotel phone and the cell phone wouldn't work. The […] continental breakfast had a lot to offer. All the things listed are minor and can be fixed easily. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again if the opportunity arose. Thank you. Les mer

the hotel was nice, nothing that really stuck out from any other hotel. plenty of towels and other bathroom items, room was nice and clean. the only complaint i would have was the breakfast. it sucked. the only meat was ham. the eggs where old tasting. only one waffle maker. there was a family in there with 5 kids the waffle maker never stopped. the […] only thing i liked was the blueberry mufin and it was cold and there was only that one. I RESERVED THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF IT'S INDOOR POOL AND HOT TUB, SINCE WE WERE TRAVELING WITH OUR KIDS. THE POOL HAD RUST AND DIRT IN IT AND WAS NOT HEATED. THE HOT TUB HAD RED DIRT IN THE BOTTOM OF IT AND WHEN YOU TURNED IT ON, YOU HAD BUBBLES BUT NO HEAT. THE HOTEL FINALLY GOT THE HOT TUB TO HEAT UP THE NEXT DAY (FRIDAY)BUT THE CHLORINE SMELL WAS SO […] STRONG THAT YOU COULDN'T STAY IN THE POOL AREA VERY LONG. CELL PHONE SERVICE WAS VERY POOR, NO RECEPTION UNLESS YOU WERE BY A WINDOW. I KNOW THIS ISN'T THE HOTELS FAULT BUT THOUGHT ALL OF YOU THAT DEPEND ON YOUR PHONES FOR BUSINESS WOULD APPRECIATE KNOWING. THEY NEED NEW COMFORTERS ON THE BEDS, OUR WAS VERY LUMPY. THE BEDS SLEPT EXCELLENT. THEY HAVE AN EXCELLENT CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST TOO. Les mer
