This is the perfect place to stay if you are skiing in Breckenridge. There are several beautiful options up at the mountain as well but this has the perfect location. You can easily walk to everything. The Gondola is right across the road and downtown is only 4-5 minutes away. If you are feeling lazy there is a shuttlebus that can take you everywhere.We found that the time it took us to wait for the shuttle wasn,t worth it,it was such a short walk anyway. The room was spaciuos and comfortable and the only thing we missed was bathrobes. It would have been nice when you walk to and from the pool and hottubs.We had a two bedroom/bathroom apartement and it was perfect for us and our teenage children. There should have been a shelf or hooks on the wall for hanging up mittens and skihelmets and such in the hallway. Everything was clean and inviting. We spent two nights in Denver before we came to Breckenridge and i was surprised to find that they only had the thin sheets on the beds where as in Denver they had real down comforters.(if they weren't down they were at least nice and thick and warm) The pillows where a bit hard for my likeing but to be fare i like really soft and formable pillows. The rooms had their own private skilocker in the lobby and coffee/tea and hot chocolate was always available.The staff was really helpful and there was nothing they wouldn't do if we asked.The shuttledriver took us up to some friends of ours up on the mountain even if it was out of his way. We where there at one of the busiest weekends of the year,presidents weekend. This made the town really busy and the restaurants were packed.You will either have two wait(very few of them take reservations) or you could go to the supermarket and get your own food wich you could prepare in the well equipped kitchen. Later in the week it was less crowded and we did get to try out some nice restaurants. Vail,Keystone,Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain are all just a short drive away and all worth a

"Our stay"
The hotel staff was amazing just to start off. The room smelled like stale cigarettes, luckily we brought a candle to drown out the smell. The shower never got hot, and would tend to go from Luke warm to cold several times during the shower. The bed was hard as a rock, we didn't sleep well at all, and finally just got up and headed home.

"Excellent stay - but hard beds!"
La Quinta is a great place to stay, very good service, cleanly and our stay was great. Breakfast was good and the hot tub was great as well. Would recommend pillow top mattresses. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable.

"Failed to fill our basic needs"
We had a matchbox for a bathroom and with a family of 4 had a hard time getting changed. The door barely opened around the tub and toilet. We had no hot water our first morning and could not take showers. Breakfast is included but did not start until 7:00 and was an overcrouded feeding frenzie. We will not be back.

Fell through the pull out couch, toilet ran all night, hot tub jets were awkward. Surrounding hotels are just as good and some even better for a much less price

"La Quinta Inn - A great hotel close to the slopes"
The La Quinta Inn was convenient, comfortable, and close to the slopes. However, the breakfast buffet was disappointing. And I have to say that when I sat down in my room to watch a basketball game I found the TV to have the worst picture quality of any hotel i've stayed in the last 10 years. "Not bad, not bad at all"
Suprisingly good stay. Ski weekend went well, pool and hot tub, free breakfast. Only real complaint, bed is harder than concrete. Room was clean and adequate.

"LaAuinta Inn @ Silverthorne"
This hotel was excellent and the rate was good. The only complaint we had was that the neighbors in the next room were noisy and kept us awake. The hotel management did contact them to quiet down. The real issue is that the walls are too thin or have no sound proofing. Otherwise the stay was great!

"not impressed"
the hotel had a good location but the beds wre hard as a rock, as was the toilet paper. The wait at check in was ridiculous, only one person ahead of us but took more than 15 minutes to check them in. just not impressed would not recommend or stay there again
"Good, clean, convenient"
Perfect for skiing and needing a nice, affordable place to crash. Rooms were clean, continental breakfast, close to the slopes. Really like the Old Chicago's attached to the restaurant (no more driving!) Pool area was nice, huge hot tub. Only negative was that the hot tub was a bit grimy. I'm not a fan of hot tubs in general, so I'm pretty picky—I still […] put my feet in and my friend got in completely not thinking it was so bad. Les mer
"Great Place to stay"
My family and I enjoyed the hotel very much. There is a young gentleman that works the front desk that is extremely polite and courteous. This is one of the best looking La Quintas I have stayed at.

"Not bad, but can be loud"
For the price and location, it was not bad. It is loud and seemed to be loud until 2:30am every night. Because of the price, you tend to see more younger people there. With that comes the noise. Again, not bad but for double the price I felt we could have slept better and been right on the slopes. So, it is what it is.

convenient,all ski areas in vicinity, Old Chicago's and 16% off on ski rentals, go the day before skiing, stayed for 2 nights, good spa. quiet and clean, breakfast is good, overall good hotel, i think it has been remodeled because i stayed few years ago, and it wasn't as nice as it is now.

"Shopping with Friends"
The LaQuinta was an awesome find for the time we spent in Silverthorne. It is your typical ski hotel with the hallways/carpets being beat up, skiiers are rough on hotels, but the room was exceptional! I would recommend this hotel, and plan to book this same hotel on our next visit.

"Disappointed"
We wanted to watch a ballgame once we arrived. The hotel didn't have the ESPN station we needed, and even if they did, the television was such poor quality! There was only one chair in the room. It would have been more convenient had there been two. We were awakened after being asleep for a couple of hours by an unhappy, crying baby (above us, below […] us, or in the hallway--it was too hard to tell) and we couldn't get back to sleep for several hours! "La Stinka"
The bathroom was dirty, the carpet needs replacing, and kids ran up and down the hall all night. Drive on by do not expect this motel to be nice.
Ski team yelling, banging equipment against our shared wall till after 11:00pm. Not a very good breakfast.
"Nice for a family not wanting to spend to much"
My family and I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites in Silverthorn when we went snowbrding at Loveland. It was right off the freeway but we didnt hear any noise. It was about a15 minute drive but for the money it was worth it. The only things my family and I didnt like was the small bathrooms and it was pretty dated. I think I read somewhere that […] they are working on renovating but not sure. Over all the staff was friendly and check in and out was fast. There is an Old Chicago on the property and a Village Inn next to the hotel (although I wouldnt recomend Village Inn) and the Outlets are right there too. Les mer
"Not for us"
The heat and air was a stand alone unit so we couldn't sleep well so didn't rest up for ;the rest of our trip. The breakfast wasn't worth eating. So sorry but we will go somewhere else next time.

We booked this hotel as a stop over, but were totally surprised by scenic views of surrounding peaks covered with wonderful fall colors. The quality of hotel and services are as best as any other LaQuinta and we are happy to have stayed at this place.

"Great value"
We have stayed here several times over three years and have been pleased with everything for the price. Comfortable beds and good service. The location is fairly easy to find and central to a number of attractions.
"Broken Room"
T.V. didn';t work, I called for a wake up call at 11pm for 7am and I had to call the front desk 3 times. Everytime letting the phone ring at least 30 times. After finally getting a person and requesting my wake up call I didn't get my wake up call. Luckly I did wake up before my wake up call. There is pretty much one thing to do in a hotel room and […] that's watch T.V. I ended up going down to Old Chicago pizza to watch tv cause the tv in my room didn't work. I paid a little amount to stay here and it definately showed. Next time I will spring another 20 bucks and get all the services that I expect to get from hotel stay service. Les mer

I booked the La Quinta because its always been a great stay. However the hotel was nice and has the Old Chicago resturante right down stairs. But im room was freezing...the heat didnt work at all! In Silverthorne Co...it gets cold at night! wont stay again.

"Dump!"
Rooms were dirty, very old and smelled of stale cigarette smoke. We were moved from a normal room to a suite. The gentleman at the front counter referred to our accommodations as "sleeping in luxury". I slept in my clothes... The faucets poured rust and the floors felt sticky! I attempted to use the hair dryer and it shorted out in under 1 min. I used […] the iron on a white shirt and got ski wax all over it and it was ruined. Les mer

Make sure to have breakfast before 9 A.M. They close at 9:00 A.M. Same person is in charge of a cleaning the lobby and "serving" a buffet breakfast, so you can enjoy breakfast with the sound of a vacuum cleaner while she is "multitasking".
