JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa at Ko Olina - Kapolei

We came in on dec 30. 2afults and 2 kids (5,7). New years eve was very nice, fireworks I we will never forgett! The beach is nice and quiet, with turtles swimming around. No waves, wich would be a bad thing if we were staying there for longer than a couple of days. All in all we were very pleased with our stay.

Before our visit from Australia we chose this hotel based on other excellent reviews and internet research, We were unaware at the time of booking that the hotel and areas would be the subject of extra security etc because of APEC happening around the time of our visit. Overall we found the hotel to be a pleasant, well maintained facility , in an unexpectedly […] remote and industrial location. Some issues we were not pleased about included: 1. On arrival a very bossy and rude first encounter with a female employee (valet) at the front entrance where we had parked our car . It certainly was not a warm first greeting and put us off the place immediately . I had chosen to park my vehicle in a safe space next to the curb and not blocking any traffic and not in a no parking zone. She said we would have to move the vehicle and asserted her "power" without any reason to do so. Ironically, We noted that a police vehicle parked immediately behind us and she did not give the same advice or direction. 2. At registration we experienced considerable delay with only one person on the desk booking people in 3. When using the bedding for the first night , we discovered one of the sheets had blood stains on it .We were horrified. We took the sheet off and left a note for the room service in the morning to fix the matter 4.The patio/balcony area outside the room , railing floor and furniture had considerable bird droppings on them and were not cleaned during our stay 5. For a non smoking hotel , we were shocked that the occupants of the room immediately below us were smoking openly and the odour was strong in our room 6. For the class of hotel we were surprised that the room did not have WiFi access with free internet access in the room. This was our first time to visit this JW Marriott property. All the staff were very helpful. They even provided suggestions regarding things we could do when we drove to the North Shore to do some sightseeing. My favorite person was JoJo at the pool bar. She had an uncanny way of predicting what each customer needed. The property was well maintained […] and we had a very peaceful stay. We hope to return on a subsequent visit to Oahu. Les mer

Great hotel place to stay at. I just wish I would have known about the parking fee ahead of time.

Beautiful hotel and grounds, wish we could have stayed longer. Ours was just an overnight visit. We will plan for a longer stay the next time we are in Hawaii.

Somewhat off the beaten path but still close to all the amenities. Beautiful rooms. Mahalo for the wonderful stay.

This hotel was beautiful and located about 30 min from Pearl Harbor.

Great resort, but Disney's resort next door is opening in August 2011, so the beach, etc will be very busy after that. Regrettably, it won't be the same experience then. The Marriott Beach Club timeshare property also next-door has nice pools and a waterslide great for kids, but you can't use the facility even though it's a Marriott property.

This hotel was comfortable and clean. The pool area needs a renovation badly. Some of the rooms have been redone and it is clear that there are plans to update other parts of the hotel. The restaurant is good for breakfast but not much else. Beware of the Disney Resort being built next door. There was a ton of construction going on during our stay, […] which was a huge bummer, but I would rather deal with the heavy equipment than the thousands of screaming kids that are sure the overtake the area once the Disney Resort opens. Ko'olina may no longer be the place for a romantic getaway, but could be an ideal spot for families in the near future. Sunsets from the hotel were gorgeous but the remote location adds about 25 minutes to all of your day trips, given that there is nothing of interest West of the resort before the road ends. That being said, I would much rather drive 25 minutes than stay in Waikiki, which is a zoo and defeats the purpose of taking a relaxing trip to Hawaii. Les mer

Excellent place to stay. I went with my 4 year old daughter and she absolutely loved the pool and the lagoon. The lagoon was safe, the sand was fantastic, the view even better. The valet staff was wonderful as well. We would absolutely return!

Overall the staff was less than accommodating. There was very very loud construction facing our room that our concierge just blew off. We asked for a room change to which they flatly told us they only had a room available with 2 twin size beds. They offered no apology or credit for that situation whatsoever. (as if I want to spend my anniversary with […] my husband in separate beds) And then to top it off the bartender insulted my husband at the beach bar. My husband asked for a drink and was told that he had to serve the guests first! My husband responded with..."I AM A GUEST!!!!" (a response that, if it had come from me would have been much more harsh) And after he was insulted was not even offered an apology. He felt that because we are young people and of an ethnicity that could have passed for Hawaiian, he just assumed we walked off of the street to the bar. What an assumption!! And what does this say about how this hotel treats their native peoples? Overall the experience was by far one of the worst stays...including the room being very dated and not so clean. It was far from the relaxing anniversary vacation we planned. Even upon check-out we were not even asked how our stay was..it was more like "Don't let the door hit you on the way out!" I would advise staying elsewhere...this place is much to expensive for the poor treatment you will receive! Les mer

We weren't expecting such a beautiful view! I could have stayed in my room all day and relaxed on the sun chair on the lanai. We first booked a mountain view room but was so generously upgraded to an ocean view that was spectacular. This gated community is growing fast with a few restaurants and an ABC store across the street. The 4 manmade lagoons […] were perfect for a calm swim and for children, although snorkling wasn't really a success. The only thing is that on weekends there are wedding that go on on the grounds with loud music and DJ's but hey, everyone wants a piece of that view especially for their weddings! All in all I would definately stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Les mer

This hotel is beautiful inside and out. Right on the ocean and a pool and hot tub on property. Parking was the same whether self park or valet, which is unusual. Everyone was pleasant and service was timely.

We stayed at the JW Marriott after spending three weeks around mainland USA - staying at KO Olina was exactrly what we needed! It is approx 1/2 an hour drive from the airport and somewhat isolated from restuarants, shopping etc but that is what we were looking for - a quiet, serene and tranquil place to just laze by the pool or lagoon in the most beautiful […] of settings. We lamented the fact that we only had 4 days in this beautiful place. We would go again and again and again and highly recommend it! Les mer

fitness center adequate. restaurant great, pricey for the quality. great customer service. Cost extra for internet service in room. comfortable work area, room for laptop and writing notes. the room was spacious and comfortable.

正月に5泊しました。到着早々に、システムダウンとかで4時間もロビーでまたされました。フロントは列ができていました。スタッフが不足か慣れていないのか。一方、部屋からの眺めは最高です。ワイキキから離れて雑踏はありません。ワイキキの海岸と違い本当のハワイの自然があります。もうひとつおすすめの点は、近隣のショッピングセンターは、ホノルルから離れているので、地元の人しかいません。のんびりとゆったりとハワイのローカルの生活を味わえます。ここで数泊過ごしてからワイキキに移るのもイイかも。但し、レンタカーは必要です。

５日間滞在しました。毎食の朝ビュッフェが同じものばかリ　チーズもハムもサラダもなく　食べる物に困りました。又　シャワーキャップ等　アニメティの補充も　毎回言わなければならず　日本語対応のコンシェルジュだけが　際立って　親切だけで　食事をするところも　少ないし　隣のデェズニーのホテルに食べに行きました。以前も利用したのですが　サービスの節約に徹してる様に感じました。又春に　ゴルフに行くので利用する気になるか　迷うところです。

ワイキキの喧騒からのがれ静かなビーチそして素敵なお部屋本当に感激しました、特にビーチではラグーンの他にあざらしのいるビーチ海亀のイルビーチとホテルから歩いて行けるし磯釣りもできて満喫できました、只レンタカーかタクシーでしかホテルの交通がないので不便でした。

Großzügige Anlage mit geräumigen und zweckmäßig ausgestatteten Zimmern. Die Sauberkeit auf dem Balkom liess etwas zu wünschen übrig und man hatte den Eindruck, dass die Organisation im Haus nicht gut klappt. Teile des Personals ließen nicht umbedingt erkennen, dass der Kunde König sein sollte. Laute Geräusche aus den Veranstaltungsbereich ermöglichten […] einen Schlaf nicht vor 22 Uhr. Die Lukrierung von Nebenkosten über hohe Parkgebühren finde ich äußerst unschön. Die Erreichbarkeit des Flughafens HNL ist sehr günstig. Les mer

Waikikiとは異なり、静かなリゾートで、プライベートビーチ（ラグーン)があり、海辺でもゆっくりと過ごせます。また、ラグーンの外側は磯になっており、釣りをすることもできます。 また、その磯からの夕日はとても素敵です。 ホテルから徒歩圏内に、ABCストアがあり、安く食品を手に入れることもできますし、車で１０分ほどのKaplayには大型ショッピングセンターやローカル向けのファストフード店が多数あります。さらに、Waikeleのアウトレップショップまでは車で２０分程度で、買い物も楽しめます。 リゾートでゆっくり過ごし、ちょっと買い物も、という方にはお薦めできます。ただし、車が無いと不自由だと思います。 ホテルも室内が広く、快適です。難点としては、家具の作りが粗雑なのと、日本語のテレビ放送がフジテ […] レビ系しか入らず、ニュースが見られないことです。 Les mer

ホノルルの日本人の多さに比べると、ゆっくりリゾートを楽しみたい方にはとてもお勧めです。部屋もゆったりと大きめのつくりで、ゆったりできます。ただ、残念なのはホテルのグレードの割にはレストランがお粗末なこと。和食のお店は絶対お勧めできません。食事のためにワイキキに行くには少々不便なためホテル内で我慢せざるえないところもあり、敷地内ゴルフ場のすぐ横にロイズがあるのが救いといえば救いです。せっかくの居心地の良いホテルなので、レストランの改善があるとさらにリピートしたくなると思います

Ocean view Roomに宿泊しました。 海とプールを臨むラナイからの眺めは最高です！ 夜は網戸だけ閉じて窓を全開にして、波の音を聞きながら眠りました。ワイキキの喧騒とは別世界のHAWAIIをのんびりと過ごせます。 お部屋は50平米前後の広さで(トイレだけで4畳ぐらいありそうでした)、バスタブも十分に大きく、シャワールームには腰掛けられる折りたたみソファタイプの椅子が備え付けられていました。 歯ブラシがなかったりと、アメニティは必要最低限です。 レストランが１つしかないのが残念ですが、プールも人口ビーチもスパもあり、満足です。 リゾート内のコオリナゴルフコースもGOODでした♪
