"great staff & neighborhood,"
The staff really went out of their way to be helpful. I was greatly appreciative of the little things they did, asking me if needed directions, etc. The only drawback was that it took a taxi ride to get to where my business was. That's not the hotel's fault but it is a bit far from the main thoroughfares. Nonetheless, I would go again for a comparable […] price. Les mer

"First time"
This was my first time staying at a Wyndham Hotel. It was GREAT, good enough, in fact, to make me check for a Wyndham on my next trip. Very nice experience.

"Good luck parking at the Wyndham"
Hotel was nice, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The problem is that the most convenient place to part is the valet service. Well paying almost 40$ to valet park the car is ridiculous. Other then that it was a good experience.

I have 2 comments 1. The hotel overbilled me for garaging a car which I did not have. 2. The fan in the room ran all night without any visible means of turning it off. Otherwise, my stay was very nice and I would recommend the hotel to others.

We liked the decor, the marble bathroom, the great view of the Washington monument, and the very friendly service. It does not have its own parking, but there are parking lots and garages not too far you can use, rather than paying for the valet parking. This hotel is located in between the Inner Harbor and the Mt Vernon District. Inner Harbor is touristy but fun. There is the Aquarium and the Science Center with a IMAX theatre. Up from the Inner Hbr is the Mt Vernon District. It caters more to the arts. There are great museums and cafes. It is quite diversified with gay and straight bar/cafes. Both […] areas are an easy walk from the hotel. The staff is great, too. Shawn, on the the front desk at night, was a wealth of information regarding the area. The only slip up, and a minor one at that, was when I asked if they could print out my boarding pass at a specific time (Southwest Airlines). I asked if there was a place for me to do it since I had asked for a specific time, but the front desk kindly offered. However, she forgot and I had to remind her and I ended up with a later boarding pass (if you are familiar with Southwest's procedures you will understand). Other than that, it was a great stay. And I would recommend it to anyone. Given where it is situated in the Mt. Vernon District, you can get some good cardio in walking up and down the blocks(yes, the city has hills!) to the different venues! Les mer
"A gem in the middle of Baltimore."
This is a wonder old funky hotel. The rooms are huge, and very comfortable. The room and furniture are dated, but not so much that it feels moldy/uncomfortable/unhealthy. The neighborhood is beautiful, and close to all the sites. It is worth walking to local restaurants for meals - and close enough to walk to the sites, like the inner harbor. They were helpful, kind, and very helpful, including advising that the neighborhood was safe and that we could save money by parking on the street over night rather than paying the $29 for valet parking. "A John Hopkins Necessary Evil"
Although the hotel amenities include a parking garage, when you ask the front desk clerk where it is so you can avoid the $35 valet charge, she pretends to not know if any parking garages exist in Baltimore. We sucked it up and paid the valet, which worked out OK. The first room we had was filthy. We were knee-deep in pubic hairs in the bathroom and […] there were hairs on the sheets. This was a blessing in disguise because we were offered a nicer corner room with a view. My husband saw an employee hand a friend a room key, which seemed a bit suspicious and would explain our dirty room. The hotel is old, but we didn't mind the areas of the hotel that could use some renovations - it is part of the ambiance and the modern conveniences work, even though they are 80's-modern. The hotel is a pretty cool old place if you like late 19th century-early 20th century architechture. Unfortunately, there is no security although they will tell you to use your room key to access your floor in the elevator. This is smoke and mirrors, because anyone can access any floor without a key. Try it and see. The neighborhood may be "up and coming" but it is still scary. I wouldn't suggest walking at night - take a cab and use the room safe. The restaurant was average, service was pleasant but slow. They have discount burger night on Mondays and it is a pretty good burger. Stay away from the potatos though, they are rediculously over-seasoned and under-cooked. If we had to return to John Hopkins Hospital, I am not sure if I would stay at the Wyndham again although it was close to the hospital. Next time, I will shell out the extra $100 to stay on the waterfront. Les mer

"Nice renovation"
It's a Wyndham, so there's a level of quality. Room was smallish but very pleasant. Windows are old and don't open. Neighborhood is transitional during the day, ok at night, but don't wander off. Park on the street if you can ($30 for hotel valet overnight) but watch the signs. THEY WILL TOW YOUR CAR. Nice onsite restaurant & bar. Good room service […] menu. Close to a lot of stuff. Les mer

Location is great, and the restaurant has quality food at great prices. Housekeeping could be improved, as ammenities (ie: tea and cups) in my room were not supplied after my first evening. It also would have been more helpful if the front desk had followed through with my basic requests.

"Good value"
Nice old hotel, great breakfast! Here on business and this was a bit of a distance from location but worth the 5 minute trip. Only blip is the street construction going on directly in front of the hotel entrance. Not exactly on their control. The valet is also a bit pricey at $35 per night.

The Peabody is a very old and very cool hotel. Only complaint is that I had no work space inmy room.

What a night and day experience. Last month I stayed at the Latham in NYC and absolutely had a horrible experience. I just stayed at the Wyndham and absolutely loved it.

"Classy hotel"
Great location -- close to nearby colleges. Very comfortable room, but pillows were a little firm for my taste. Restaurant on site has a great happy hour. Valet service was prompt and friendly, but a little pricey.
This hotel is a new addition to the Wyndham roster, but it is a vestige of a former era. It occupies a 12-story, early 20th century (1928 to be exact), red brick block of a building with small, double-hung windows. It has been at least partially renovated but there are worn edges still apparent. We were in a double room which managed a standard double […] bed but wouldn't have held a queen or twin beds. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. It left enough room to move around but this room definitely wasn't "spacious." It was pleasantly quiet. Lighting was poor -- old bedside and floor lamps that look as though they date to the original furnishings. We had a refurbished bathroom of good size with lots of marble, a Jacuzzi tub with shower and a separate stall shower. Good lighting in the bathroom. Unfortunately the shower stall mechanism wasn't working. We were in Baltimore for a program at the Peabody Institute which is right around the corner, so the location in the Mt. Vernon Historic District was excellent for us and the primary reason we selected this hotel. It is also on the same block as the Walters Art Museum. It's a generous stroll down the hill to the Inner Harbor, and for most people a cab ride to Little Italy, Camden Yards, or other Baltimore sights. The restaurant, "Georges," is fine for very standard fare and not overpriced in the fashion of most hotel dining rooms. If a Mt. Vernon location is important, the hotel is perfectly acceptable, but it is not a standout, largely by virtue of its age. Les mer

cold shower. If you call downstairs they say "run the shower for 10 min" Only time it was hot was in the mid morning. Overall the room felt dirty. Missing light bulbs in closets and dusty dresser drawers. TV is tiny. Toilet was running and I had to open the tank and push down the flapper every time. Temp control system is old and inconsistent. "Convenient Location for all of Baltimore"
Have stayed at Peabody Court as much as any other in Baltimore. Unless I am specially just visiting the Harbor area (which is in walking distance), the resonableness of pricing and the recent remodeling make this hotel a convenient and pleasant place to stay.

We had our double bed room switched to a single king bed room due to an issue with the former room, so we were given free valet parking for the two nights, which was a great deal for us. Definitely would recommend.

I was very satisfied with my stay. I needed a hotel for the bar exam and this hotel was close to the site and proved to be a great place to stay; a nice quiet no frills place with courteous and accommodating staff. It's in a great location with convenient access to markets, restaurants and cafes in the Mount Vernon area. "Weekend trip to Baltimore"
On our 3rd Hotel search of Baltimore we decided on the Wyndham. Didn't want to pay the prices and deal with the crowds in the Inner Harbor. Downtown hotels were not inviting. We were so glad to have found the Wyndham. It's north of the inner harbor in a quiet and nice residential neighborhood. Close by is Symphony Hall and other museums.Our room was […] exceptionally quiet and a nice size. The weekend we stayed there was a large arts festival 5 blocks from the hotel, wonderful. "Sox Vs O's"
Hotel itself very nice. Staff pleasant and helpfull. A little further away from Camden than I expected but only a $8-10 cab ride or $1.60 by railway. Railway very convenient to/from BWI Airport. "Good experience overall"
I was pleased with the hotel experience overall. They did give us a upgrade for our rooms and our rooms were spacious, clean and modern. The restaurant was very good as well having breakfast there one morning. The wi-fi left a lot to be desired. It took forever to log on and the signal strength was always slow.
"Not as expected"
Good location, however the first impression was no light in the room (the light bulb) was death, next day no hot water in the bathroom, the maintenance guy came and fix it only to have the same problem at 6:00 am two days later. Yes, everyone is friendly but it is an old building in need of good maintenance and TLC. The food in the restaurant is of […] low quality and no cheep. Beside I paid $32 a night for valet parking, the only form of parking available. So the good location does not compensate for the disappointing experience. Les mer
"The Wyndham Peabody Hotel in B-More- Convenient"
My husband and me really enjoyed our stay in Baltimore. We were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary. The Wyndham Peabody Hotel was a nice change of pace. The room was a nice retreat after a day of sightseeing and shopping. The staff were very nice and cordial ("Thank you, Sean and Rodney"). The only problem was that our room was not cleaned for […] 2 days during our visit. The bed was made, but the bathroom was not cleaned and the floor was not vacuumed. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, it was rectified immediately. The only thing I would recommend is having a microwave in the room. We ate out most of the time we were there, but could not finish our entire meals. It would have been nice if we could have been able to heat up the leftovers to enjoy at a later time during our stay. Also, I would have liked to have had more than washcloth each day (I guess I could have requested this). This hotel was in the Mount Vernon district of Baltimore; within walking distance to the Inner Harbor and other great sightseeing opportunities. A week wasn't enough to take it all in. The price wasn't too bad for the time we stayed there. We were in a king suite. Parking was costly. $29/day is a lot. Too bad the parking wasn't included. Les mer
"Beautiful hotel, great neighborhood"
We were extremely happy with our stay at this hotel. The staff of the hotel was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were nice and comfortable, extremely clean. And you can't beat the location - very nice sites less than a block from the hotel. And it's only about a 20 minute walk from the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards, so it's just close enough and just […] far enough away. Our only minor complaints, and these were nothing that would keep us from staying there again, were that the hot water took quite a while to kick in when using the shower (over 5 minutes) and no blackout curtains in the room. Also, we liked George's, the bar/restaurant, but were surprised that they stopped serving food at 10pm and were closed by 11pm (we were there during the week-might be open later on weekends). It would've been nice to stop for a quick drink before calling it a night after getting back to the hotel but we couldn't after 11. Overall though, great hotel. Spacious, lovely rooms, and the hotel itself is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes visiting Baltimore and wants to be close to all the action but still in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Les mer
"Baseball Trip"
My family traveled to Baltimore by car to watch 3 baseball games at Camden Yards. We rented two rooms, mostly due to the excellent rates but also due to the look and feel of the neighborhood. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the outside attendants and the desk staff (Sean) were outstanding. Had a minor problem with the AC in one room, so we were […] moved. Second room was very nice. The bar was small but quaint. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Walked the neighborhood, many, many sights to visit. The Mt. Vernon area felt safe and the homes were magnificent. You must go to the Walters Museum, it's just down the block. My only complaint would be that the parking was too expensive, but hey, that's the city for you. Rode the light rail a few times and that worked out fine. The stop in only two blocks from the hotel. "Wyndham Peabody Court - great location and staff"
The hotel is next to the Washington Monument built by Maryland in honor of George Washington. Across the street is a park where they had concerts in the evening. The Charm City Cirulator stops one block away. The housekeeping staff seemed overworked but otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I had to attend a convention and found this was a really nice place to stay. I enjoyed the restaurant and sometimes used room service which was great. Parking of course in this area is a problem but I found the valet parking service to be great. If I find I am coming to Baltimore again I will stay at the Wyndham Baltimore […] Peabody Court. Les mer
"Great for the historic neighborhood"
The rooms were surprisingly spaciouswith a great historic feel. The location was a little far if you're planning on spending a lot of time in Inner Harbor. We liked it in the end, because it forced us to explore more of the historic district than we might have. We have three little kids that we were traveling with and it wasn't the most convenient hotel […] for pushing a stroller in and out, but otherwise the rooms were plenty big enough for cribs and there was a refrigerator and lots of storage space. Wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Great location in a safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants, museums, etc nearby. Easy ride to BWI Airport -- about 25 minutes. Only drawback -- price of valet parking but that's typical in a big city hotel. Good size rooms, comfortable bed, marble bathroom and plenty of hot water. A small boutique hotel in the center af the Arts district. Phenomenal view of Washingtron Monument from my room. Friendly staff, good restaurant. Gay friendly, but not gay.
