Beliggende i et hyggelig og rolig nabolag, og et fint sted å trekke seg tilbake etter en hektisk dag i Paris. Som vanlig er i Paris er rommene relativt små, men Eiffel suiten som vi hadde er et herlig rom. God plass til to voksne og to barn, med flott utsikt. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbake til vår "leilighet" i Paris

Nordøst for Place de la Bastille ligger denne arbeiderklassebydelen som er i ferd med å bli moderne blant unge parisere. Trendy butikker, kafeer og barer erstatter de gamle butikkene og bistroene, selv om noen gamle verksteder blir igjen. Venstreradikale meninger luftes her hvert år på den 14 juli, når Frankrike minnes revolusjonen. Noen få heller viser stedet der fengselet Bastillen tidligere lå.

Hadde et fint opphold. Det eneste jeg har å utsette på hotellet er rommet. Hadde et superior rom i øverste etasje. Rommet virket shabby. På badet var takplatene løse, de gapte i alle retninger. En spotlight lå oppå den ene takplaten (potensiell brannfare) utviklet mye varme. Samt mange dårlige fuger på badet. Fikk da et annet inntrykk enn bilder og […] resten av hotellet tilsier. Ikke noe firestjernersbad. Ellers var det litt finish på rommet som ikke var 100 % (lister, overganger etc.). Men nå er jeg veldig pirkete. Ellers var alt helt perfekt! Sengene var veldig gode. Kunne ligget hele dagen i dem. Også fint med gratis vannflasker, te og kaffe på rommet. Alt virket rent. Personalet var helt utmerket og stod mer i stil til et femstjernershotell enn ett med fire. Det er absolutt å anbefale. Metro i umiddelbar nærhet. Helt glimrende. Taxi til fra Orly vil koste et sted mellom 34 og 40 euro. Les mer

"Vi fikk det vi trengte!"
Greit hotell med god standard. Litt langt fra de store severdighetene, men med metro 30 meter unna hotellinngangen var det ikke noe problem å nå det vi ville. Ganske mye bilstøy fra plassen utenfor, men siden vårt rom ikke vendte ut mot hovedgaten var det greit støynivå på rommet. Langt å gå fra heisen til rommet.

"Mye for pengene"
Flott beliggenhet med gangavstand til det meste i Paris sentrum. God tilgang på kommunikasjon. Store og lyse rom med høy kvalitet. Vi var heldig å få rom inn mot atriet, kan sikkert være en del støy ut mot veien da det er stor og tett trafikk der hele døgnet. Flott (men litt dyr) frokostbuffet, men vi valgte en kontinental frokost i baren andre dagen […] til 8Euro. Helt OK start på dagen. Middag i hotellets resturant er absolutt å anbefale. Vi kommer igjen og har ingen problemer med å anbefale hotellet videre til andre:) Les mer
"Veldig god beliggenhet"
Årsaken til at vi valgte dette hotellet er at det ligger rett ved Place de la République. Det er etter vår mening beste stedet man kan bo i Paris. République er et godt utgangspunkt for sightseeing, fordi det går mange métrolinjer hit. Derfor kan man komme seg til de fleste deler av byen uten å bytte fra en linje til en annen. Det beste med området […] er at det ligger mange bra restauranter og barer i området. Dette er en litt billigere del av byen, man betaler mindre for god mat her enn hva man gjør i andre sentrale deler av byen. Rue Oberkampf ligger like i nærheten. Området rundt denne gata kan sammenlignes litt med Grünerløkka i Oslo. Ellers tar det sånn cirka 15 minutter å gå til Bastille eller Marais hvor det også er bra å gå ut. Man kan altså feste hele natta uten å ta taxi hjem om kvelden. Taxi i Paris er ikke så veldig dyrt, men i helgene kan det være vanskelig å finne en som er ledig. Når det gjelder selve hotellet er standarden som man forventer av et 4-stjerners hotell. Rent og pent, romslige rom og gode senger. Det er et lite trimrom på hotellet. Ikke noe særlig bra hvis man vil trene styrke, men helt greit hvis man vil ta en løpetur på tredemølle. Det mest negative med hotellet er at det alltid var lang ventetid i resepsjonen. Resepsjonen var godt bemannet, men likevel var det alltid kø og det tok lang tid å få hjelp. Det var litt irriterende for oss, for vi hadde flere ganger problemer med at nøkkelkortene ikke virket. Crowne Plaza Republique i Paris har alt du kan ønske av et bra hotell; Profesjonell, hyggelig og meget serviceinnstilt betjening er et stort pluss, rene, komfortable rom likeså. Når også beliggenheten er i akseptabel gangavstand (selv for vår sønn på 8 år) til Notre Dame, Louvre og de andre store severdighetene i sentrum av Paris, så kan man ikke ønske […] seg mer. Ønsker man å benytte Metroen, så ligger hotellet rett over stasjonen Republique med gode forbindelser. Vi bodde i et Superior-rom / familierom, og fikk et stort rom med to Queen-size senger. Hotellet er meget sentralt plassert, med gangavstand til mange av Paris' severdigheter. Flotte rom - bra sørvis.

Fantastic stay!!! You can walk to all major sites by walking towards Hotel de Ville from Rue du Temple. Also can walk to Champs Elysees from Rue de Rivoli. There are supermarkets nearby and bakeries to purchase baguettes, croissants and pain de chocolats. Recommended Breakfast: Indiana Cafe,right across the street from hotel a petit dejeuner for 6.90 […] Euros you can order: one coffee cappucino, one baguette with butter, jelly, one croissant and one orange juice. This hotel gives you complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, I bought instant soup and yogurt from nearby supermarche and used the coffee maker to heat up water. Les mer

"Beautiful hotel."
We were on a family trip to Paris and I can honestly say I could not find any fault with this hotel. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Everyone spoke English. Room was very clean, a nice size and had everything we needed. Metro station right outside. Would definitely recommend.

"Spring Break in Paris"
We researched the hotel in advance, and must say that most of the reviews are spot on. The location and proximity to Metro and Trains is an enormous positive. The staff was friendly and helpful (and to our pleasant suprise, the room was avialable in the morning we arrived - we took an overnight flight). We felt comfortable in the neightborhood and did […] not find the construction in the area too bothersome. The lobby was inviting, but the rooms could use a bit of updating - although they were clean and totally adequate. This hotel has a perfect location on Place de la Republique, close to the métro, restaurants, shops etc. Really helpful & nice staff that go out of their way to help you and make sure you have an excellent stay. Will certainly come back again - love this hotel & my room:-)

The overall experience was good! The staff was very courteous. The Concierge was VERY helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic, just next to the "Republique Subway station" which gets you close to Notre Dame in 6 minutes. "Paris Republique- nice, a little behind the times"
The hotel was comfortable and in a convenient location. But, no wifi in the rooms, and a charge to use in the lobby. A serious problem for some of us, and seems a nominal expense for the hotel to fix. Bathrooms were up-to-date and service was good. "Convenient place to stay in Paris"
My husband and I stayed here for one night and chose it for it's location - just a few metro stops from Gare du Nord and on the northern edge of the Marais with lots of bars, shops and restaurants, not to mention the Republique metro stop,on it's doorstep. We walked down to the Hotel de Ville and the Seine and to the Pere Lachaise cemetery. The Republique […] metro stop is also a good interchange for many of the main lines. It's not the prettiest area but it is lively - and just as busy at 2 in the morning as 2 in the afternoon. The hotel itself is classic Crowne Plaza - comfortable and well maintained but rather lacking in character. This is not a classic French hotel although the building itself is impressive. The staff were, without exception, courteous, warm and professional - no complaints there. We arrived 2 hours before official check in time and were grateful to be given a room straight away. The room was a club and a nice size though I can't say I was overwhelmed by the decor - the place has been refurbished but still looks dark and old-fashioned. There was a sofa and coffee table area which helps to relax but the bathroom was very small, with a separate toilet in an absolutely tiny room. The bed was very comfortable and nice to have a coffee machine, rare in more authentic European hotels. Our room looked on to the central courtyard which I thought would be lovely but actually looked almost abandoned - the pictures on the website are a lot nicer than the reality! I didn't see anyone out there at all, not that it was really the weather for it, but it was just a big concrete area with no greenery. Having a club room gave us access to the club lounge but this was a small, uninspired little room with no staff, just a few fridges filled with soft drinks and beers you could help yourself to. "New Years Eve in Paris"
I expected any Hotel would be noisy in Paris for New Years Eve, and this fully booked one certainly was. I was allocated a room at the front of the Hotel, seven main Boulevards converge on the Republique and no double glazing, just the old original wooden French Doors and lots of noise. Was later put into a room on the back street, a narrow street with […] Cafe's that operated all night, the worst problem here was the neighbours who arrived home at 2am and had to shout everything they had to say, all which seaped through the paper thin walls and the awful interconnecting room doors. I hate any hotel room with interconnecting doors, noise problems for sure. Complaining about this rooms internal noise problem the next morning, seeing I was staying 4 nights they eventually found me a room that faced their small coutyard, without internal doors, and I think a larger bed, the room was certainly bigger and very quiet. I had been originally told all courtyard rooms were Club rooms, obviously because of the noise factor, but this was not so, as suddenly this small courtyard room was found., and it did not say on the door Club Room. The breakfast room was as busy as a main central train station, and boiling hot, even the corridors were overheated, this place could have saved a small fortune on heating if only it was set to a comfortable setting, the housemaids had to fling open those french doors letting 0C rush through because of the heat. The area as read from previous reviews left alot to be desired, I am surprised a chain of this quality operated from such an area. The entire Republique looked as though it was being redeveloped but that it had stopped progress years ago, everything seemed tired, run down, and not even half finished, seemed to almost have the abandoned look, maybe money had run out and they just shut work down. What was disturbing was the amont of homlessness clearly visible in the Republique, and the 24 hour fires burning in the square were testimant to that Les mer

This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Paris. We didn't want to do the sites but rather the more arty districts of Paris which is why we chose this location. It is a bust road but the glazing on the room meant that even on the third floor facing the road you couldn't hear much traffic at all, plus the hotel sits above a metro station with […] quick access to most lines. The hotel is located in a very nice area with easy access to public transport, the staff were friendly, the rooms are big and clean but the bathrooms need updating and maintenance, the breakfast was very good.

Prague's elegant Crowne Plaza just off Plaza Republic was perfect for our family . Spacious, well-appointed rooms with ample mattreses and luxurious bedding were a welcome end-point to a long day of walking/sightseeing. Loved the bath soaps! Breakfast (included) was a generous buffet . Concierge was extremely helpful.

Nice clean room. No street noise in the room Good location Easy to get to from Gare L'est and Gard Nord(Direct bus) Direct Bus from the Place d' Republique to the Louvre goes via the Pompidou Good breakfast although Kids charged at full rate. Some family freindly restuarants on the square. Overall a stress free visit.

First time in Paris and the choice of the Crown Plaza was a good one. Well located for our itinerary (wedding in Le Raincy) and wanted to be in the city. Staff was very helpful and language (we speak American English) was not a problem at the Hotel. Clean rooms with comfortable bedding. But I do have some negatives. The resturant breakfast, if you don't […] pre pay with the room, was 25 euros!!!! You could get similar food in the Cafe's around the hotel for half the price. And of course the Internet was priced as bad as the breakfast. 7 euros for 60 minutes and 28 euros for the 24 hour package. Alternative wifi was not available without subscriptions dispite claims for free wifi. I purchased Global text and international calling plans from my cell provider in the States but there is a catch...you still need to connect to the local cellular providers to use any texting for calls. Local French cellular systems will let you sign on but it is temporary if you don't have a subscription plan. After an hour or so you get dropped and have to reconnect. All that aside I and my family enjoy the Crown Plaza. Les mer

A good overall standard of hotel - pleasant room, quiet at the back of the building. Outside area not so pleasant, place de republic is pretty shabby, lots of road/metro works going on - the canal area was disappointing - we were hoping for more character and atmosphere.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza on business. Very handy having just arrived on the Eurostar right outside the Republique Metro. Very nice room with plenty of space. Continental breakfast at the bar is very good value if you do not want to pay for the full buffet breakfast. Overall very enjoyable stay

Overall this hotel was fine. Considering the money I paid I couldve actually stayed in a hotel closer to the "touristy" spots. The staff is really helpful and the hotel is clean but it is NOT in Le Marias area, it is a good 10 - 15 minute walk from there. Right next to subway though which is nice.

A great hotel in a perfect location. Since it was opposite the Metro Station, we were able to get around very quickly to all the sites (the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc). Excellent for family with children. The only negative is the fact that WiFi is not readily available (paid access only in the lobby).

"Noise problem from hotel construction"
The facility was okay, however at 8:00 am, about six workers began a construction project on my hallway to replace doors. They woke my family with loud talking and banging. I went outside and asked them to try to be quiet. That lasted for 15 minutes. I went back out and found a construction supervisor and told them the noise level was way to high. Again, […] it got better for 15-20 minutes but soon back to drills, talking and banging. When I checked out, I expressed my frustration with construction starting that early the person at the desk and was told it was happening all over the hotel and it seemed clear from her response that they were not concerned about the noise factor. I would have felt a little better if she had at least said she would pass the information on to her supervisor. I had a late afternoon flight back to the U.S. and wanted to sleep in, however that definitely did not happen. Do not stay here if you plan on sleeping past 8:00 am. Les mer

"Too expensive and not impressive but good location"
We usually rent apartments when traveling in Europe because most hotels do not have rooms with 2 double beds. Apartments often offer more charm and personalized visits for us. This time we had no time to book in advance and had to resort to the standard hotel. And that is exactly what this hotel felt like. Standard. The location for travel to/from Gare […] de l'est is perfect and the Place de la Republique is a good metro stop with many easy connections. The surrounding restaurants are mediocre but plentiful. I was not impressed very much with the amenities, decor, or regular maintenance. It was a clean hotel with courteous enough staff, just not special. The one good thing was the hotel breakfast. It had plentiful selections of basic staples. If you are not looking for exotic or don't want to pay cafe prices the discounted hotel breakfast (kids eat for free) is a good deal. Les mer
