Et greit og rimelig alternativ med veldig god beliggenhet etter vår smak. Hotellet fremstår ellers som litt slitent, rommet var i minste laget og badet kunne trengt en oppgradering. Hotellets personale er vennlige og behjelpelige. Noe støy, men ikke mer enn man kan forvente. Et hotell vi kan anbefale og gjerne kan besøke igjen.

Vi hadde ikke store forventninger til hotellet etter å ha lest andre anmeldelser, men ble forsåvidt positivt overrasket. Vi var 5 personer som reiste, og hadde med en person som bruker rullestol. Denne personen fikk tilrettelagt rom for rullestolbrukere, men rommet er såpass lite at dersom du kan ikke bevege deg rundt uten rullestol er ikke dette rommet […] godt nok. Ellers var de andre rommene av ok kvalitet. Rommene ble ikke vasket før 15-16 tiden, men dette merket vi jo lite til da vi var ute mesteparten av dagen. Ellers var rommene små og bare preg av en del slitasje. Beliggenheten er fantastisk, 2 minutter å gå til Times Square, Broadway og mange andre store attraksjoner, bare dette i seg selv er grunn nok til å velge hotellet. Vi fikk hjelp av betjeningen på hotellet til å reservere billetter til et broadway show. Vi fikk ikke beskjed av dem at billettene vi fikk var kjøpt av billetthaier, vi trodde nemlig at de hjalp oss å kjøpe billetter fra et billettkontor, dermed endte vi opp med å betale 400 dollar for billetter som egentlig kostet 69 dollar. Dette informerte de oss ikke om, slik at vi trodde dette var reelle priser. Hvis du trenger en plass å sove, og har planlagt å bruke mesteparten av dagen på sightseeing og opplevelser vil jeg sterkt anbefale dette hotellet. Les mer

This hotel is awful. The room is small and the bathroom is really bad. The AC is right next to the bed and you can feel the air blowing at you when lying down. It smells old too. Would never ever stay at this hotel again.

We had read some varying reports on the hotel before we arrived and was, not worried, but a bit skeptic to what we could expect. Our room was moderate in size, but there was not a whole lot of places to put suitcases etc. so the room looked rather messy our whole stay. The window we had was broken in the sense that it could not be locked. It faced […] toward a fire escape and there was no safe in the room. However, the staff fixed the window (to be permanently locked) for us, so we didn't have to carry all our valuables with us or use a centrally located safe. The AC worked fine, but blew most of the cold air right into bed, so the bed had a warm and cold side. The bathroom worked fine, but personally I have never cherished towel racks located in the shower - everything tend to get wet and stay that way. The hotel had an environmental policy that towels on the rack would not be replaced, but they did replace towels from "racks" such as doors, chairs etc. Overall, we were happy with our stay. We will probably not be regulars at this hotel, but who's a regular at this type of hotel in NYC anyway. We won't avoid it either. We were attracted by the location, and the hotel is literally right in the middle of everything. There are three subway stops within a few hundred feet so aching feet don't have to walk the same three blocks twice (or more) every day to get around in the city. Les mer

Hotellet ligger et iltt langt steinkast fra Times Square og særlig mer sentralt blir det ikke. Rommene var små, mørke og langtfra luksuriøse, men helt greie. Man skal tross alt bare sove der. Og badene var bra. Akkurat da vi var der ble hotellet pusset opp og bare en heis virket. Og det var noe bråk. Men dette var utenfor høysesong, og det er igrunn […] betryggende at det foregår vedlikehold. Det var ikke noe plagsomt. Jeg var positivt overrasket over hvor lite gatestøy det var. Baren i første etasje er hyggelig, og viste seg å være en populær bar for nærområdet. Og restauranten var en ok sushirestaurant. Betjeningen ved hotellet var strålende - hyggelige, hjelpsomme og tilogmed morsomme. Jeg bor der gjerne igjen. Les mer

Hotellet er lite, noe gammelt, men med ogd personlig service og godt rehold

helt topp litt lite rom men der ska vi jo bare sove=)

This is (at best) a 2.5 star hotel... more likely a 2-star. As long as you don't have any high expectations, and only plan to sleep in your room... no room to work in the room (no desk, a single chair that isn't really usable)... the room is really, really really small.

Gave comfort of the room a 3 out of 5 because of construction noise.

Read reviews before picking this hotel which were 50-50 pro and con, but took a chance because of its convenience and proximity to places we were going to. Nothing better than turning the corner from Grand Central and dropping off the bags. Would stay again. Friendly staff and great service.

In a city where $400 a night rooms are the norm, the Amsterdam Court is a pleasant surprise in a terrific neighborhood. A close walk to numerous subway lines, as well as the dining scene on 9th avenue and the up-and-coming 10th Avenue bar scene. The rooms are small, but well-appointed. They feel like an actual Manhattan apartment. The staff is excellent […] and very friendly. This hotel is in a great location, great value for the cost, rooms and beds were very comfortable. A small issue - the radiator in the room had a tendency to start banging occasionally. Just often enough to make sleep a little difficult. Overall, though, a great experience!

Location was fab, 2min walk to Times Square but not too close that you're kept awake all night. Bed was HUGE very clean and very comfortable Linen was changed daily which is always nice and the cleaner even folded up my PJ's and put them on my pillow! very cute. Room was tight, large bed with very little room to move around, but for the price considering it's proximity to Times Square area and a place to simpkly crash and shower. . .it's worth it.

I stay in hotels at all price ranges and when I'm in NYC this place doesn't burn my budget so I can go to great restaurants every meal, knowing I'm only spending 2/3 of what everyone else does on the room. Very small room,even for a boutique hotel. A noisy WINDOW air conditioner was very annoying

This hotel is at a great location but the staff is not jumping to help in any way. They seem very bored with their job and pass duties on to others and stand there to watch. The AC unit was VERY noisy - we had to buy earplugs. Good size bathroom (shower with no curtain or tub) and good size bedroom.

The location was great, the staff was excellent andtgeroom was very clean. Room a little small and walls thin, a little pricey - overall - love it!

Everything in the hotel was clean and well kept. Staff was polite and helpful. Rooms were small but ideal for economizing on space and money. Saw five Broadway shows and walked to all of the Theatres. There is also free coffee in the lobby 'round the clock and it makes an excellent budget saver to have limitless coffee at your disposal. While the rooms are small and you can hear every peep from the neighboring guests, the hotel is in such a convenient location that if you need a place to crash out for the night it is a really good option. It's clean and not too expensive. The location is fantastic and the staff were very nice.

I really liked this hotel because of its location for the price I was able to stay nearly in time square. The front desk staff was excellent. They were one of the reasons why I had a great trip.

The experience was unfortunately not good. There was very little hot water, was unable to regulate heat, the staff was non responsive, the iron leaked water all over clothes and we were told that the pay movies were not available but then found out on the last day that they actually were available.

i really wanted to like this hotel, to have found a cost effective, very conveniently located, nice hotel in this part of NY. After a brief stay though, I understand why it has garnered an average rating. It was fine, but has some flaws. Rooms were clean, if worn. Staff were nice, if not overly warm. As others have noted, the standard room w a queen […] bed was a decent size by NY standards, although may not be best for two or more people. The location was great - just a few blocks from Times Square, near the subway, and easy walking distance to many of the offices and sites in that part of town. Unfortunately, as others have noted, being that close to both a major part of New York and a large construction site means considerably noise at all hours. Sirens and passersby throughout the night. Activity at the construction site next door starts at 7a (which the front desk neglected to mention when I checked in). This hotel may not be a good idea for those who wish to go to bed early or sleep late. The controls in my bathroom fell off of the wall as I tried to use them, so I ended up with a very cold shower that morning, for which the staff were apologetic, but there wasn't much to be done. If you need a passable hotel in this part of town for a short visit, the Amsterdam is passable and inexpensive, but not grand or recommended for longer stays. Les mer

I didn't like the two nite I stayed there, it was too cold because the window can't closed, it has the air conflation, keeping the window opens, the heater was under issue, no control at the room, the hotel seems turn it on only at sleeping time, there neighbor is building and too much noise, the rest room so stuipd, it is too big, and the dish spreat […] water all around the rest room, all rest room got wet!!! This was our second time at this hotel. The first time was about 8 years ago, prior to the latest renovation. We were comfortable our first stay and pleasantly surprised at the modernization since then. They are conveniently located just a couple of blocks from Times Square and accross the street from a theater and a wonderful Mexcian restaurant. This was a very good deal for the location. I cannot say enough about the convenience of being between two subway stations. One is literally right out the door! There are restaurants and bars attached to the hotel. Convenience! Great neighborhood. There is ongoing construction next door. I had a room facing the construction and believe me, it's a […] wake-up call. My next stay, I am going to have a room on the other side of the building. The bathrooms are a little bit dated with 80's style, Miami-Vice-like pink and turquoise tile. The shower was super HOT and great water pressure, but the tub was kinda rusted. The lighting in the room is very dim and the televisions are old style. For what I paid though, it's a great deal and I have reservations already for a return visit. I felt that it was cozy and met my needs w/o the pricey frills. The Staff really demonstrated that they want your business. Great service. Very nice. Les mer

It's a small room and small hotel. The bathroom could use some remodeling. However, it's not bad. It was a good stay for the price you pay. I was traveling by myself, so it would have been a tight squeeze with two people.

Great location, one block from Times Square. Subway on the same block. Nice room for the price. Very nice staff. Next time I comeback to NYC I will definately book my room here

Within walking distance...hotel felt very small... Room was renovated...but still had a Tube TV... No safe in room. Desk safe ., did not feel so safe leaving items . Price ... You get what you pay for .

I had an amazing weekend but my stay at the Amstersam Court made it even more amazing. Their staff was friendly, accommodating, and very informative and hospitable. The rooms were comfortable, roomy, and spacious (for NY rooms anyway) The location is ridiculous. 2 blocks off Times Square. I am definitely going to return to this hotel

Very friendly staff. Walking distance to major attractions. Rooms are small, recommended for 1 or 2 night stays, but very clean. Bed was super comfortable.

I had a really nice experience during my stay at The Amsterdam Court Hotel, the room was very clean and the employees at the front desk were very helpful and kind. The rooms are a little small and the bathroom as well but it has a great location next to Times Square.

i always look forward to going back to the homewood suits my kids absolutley love going there and look forward to my next stay . i would recomend it to anyone . thanks for a very good christmas it was wonderful.

The location of the Amsterdam Court can't be beat - 2 blocks north of Times Square, a half block to two different subway stations, and I booked the room at a decent price (special). The lobby has a modern feel, and guest services are reasonably helpful/welcoming. Upon entering the room, the first thing that you notice is how incredibly tiny it is (I […] am well aware how small NYC hotel rooms tend to be, but this was a closet to an extreme!). The room wasn't exactly dirty, but it just really had an "old" feel to it (from the carpets, to the chipping ceiling paint, to the bathroom colors, to the old TV set). There were just a few things that weren't quite right, either...the telephone was missing the sticker that told you what button to push to get the front desk, so I had to walk down to ask them to set a wake up call. Also, after the first morning when I took a shower the tub filled up (water well above my ankles). I told asked the people at the front desk to have maintenance take a look at it (and they quickly agreed), but upon my shower the next morning the same thing happened. It wasn't a *bad* stay, but for the price I think I'll try to find a different hotel. Les mer
