Svært fornøyd med oppholdet på hotellet , meget serviceminded personell , god frokost , mulig litt støy i spisesalen , men helt grei mat. Svært hyggelige og imøtekommende personell , både i skranken , og butikken eller han som satte vekk bagasjen. Lett å få tidlig innsjekking og sen utsjekking . Alt i alt , meget bra. Savnet minibar på rommet eller i alle fall et kjøleskap , men ellers var det ismaskin i gangen. Selv i New York var det mulig å få et stille rom.

Rene rom og god service - men veldig små rom. Måtte ha den ene kofferten på badet for å få plass. Men renholdet er viktigere enn størrelsen. Veldig bra beliggenhet og gåavstand til mange av hovedgatene på Manhatten.

Perfekt beliggenhet i forhold til å utforske Manhattan. Helt greie rom med fin størrelse, rent og pent, god og behjelpelig service. Kun èn gate skiller hotellet fra å ligge i SOHO med shopping og restauranter, og få minutter unna Chinatown og Little Italy. Subway rett utenfor døren som er superlett å ta for å dra up-town. Vil absolutt anbefale å bo i dette området og heller oppsøke steder som Time Square/Ground Zero etc fremfor å bo i "asfaltjungelen" hele tiden.

"Fint hotell med supersentral beliggenhet"
Hotellet overgikk våre forventninger da rommet var relativt nyoppusset, romslig og rent. Hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale i resepsjon og renholdere. Hotellet plassert meget sentralt på Lexington i tillegg til umiddelbar nærhet til subway. Vårt rom var i 12 etg og det var ikke noen problemer med støy. Anbefales!

Greit hotell midt på Manhattan i nærheten av det meste :-) Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening.
Veldig bra beliggenhet i midtown, gangavstand til det meste rundt om 5 Avenue, Central Park, Madison og Park Avenue. T-bane stasjon 15 m fra hotell inngangen hvor du kan komme deg til alle steder på Manhatten, uptown og downtown. Respsjonen og lobbyen veldig frecht, men rommene slitte og litt små med lite hylleplass.
"Doubletree by Hilton Metropolitan i New York"
Greit hotell med veldig bra beliggenhet - kort avstand til det meste! Fint resepsjons- og barområde, mens vårt rom var ikke det helt store. Allikevel helt OK - og rengjøring samt bytte av håndklær hver dag. Vi trivdes :-)

"Decent New York hotel"
All in all a quite good hotel. The lobby looks really good, shame the rooms are slightly older. Good staff, everything is workin, the rooms are large enough, and everything is working as it should. Location is brilliant. In short - recommended.

"Nice accommodation but not so nice reception staff"
The Hotel itself was nice and very clean. The service at Front Desk Reception was not welcoming nor helpful. The rooms were not ready on time and staff did not follow through with call to notify us when it was ready. We were even told that we had not checked in for said room, when in fact a drivers license and credit card were scanned.

This hotel was in a great location within walking distance to great sight seeing and right next to a subway station. There were plenty of great places to eat in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. "Just Love This Hotel"
I've stayed here a few time. The staff is always so helpful and warm. Always clean and breakfast buffet is delicious!

The hotel was clean and sleek. The upgrades were in process, but we did not have any disruptions from it during our stay. The room was spacious for a NY hotel. The location was very central with a train 1 minute away. The cons were: 1) the A/C in our room was not working despite turning it down all the way to 55 degrees. since we only stayed for one […] night we did not contact the front desk bc we experienced the A/C (or lack thereof) in the middle of the night. 2) our check in experience was unfortunately lacking in customer service. we came to the consensus that the individual hated her job bc it reflected in her attitude towards us. The hotel has a great location. We went there for a meeting which was at the Hilton, so just a couple of blocks away and also to the upper part of 5Th Avenue for shopping, Central Parc and tourist spots like Trump tower, Empire State Building or Rockefeller Center. For Jazz clubs you have to take either the bus or a cap as they are down to the tip of […] the island. Times Square and the Broadway for shows was in a (European) walking distance. "Under construction."
Had we known there would be buzz saws and hammering at 7am we would not have stayed here. Not much sympathy from management.
Over all was good. However, to start your renovation crew at 7:00AM on Saturday was not a good idea!

The Location was perfect, the hotel is going through renovations so everything wasn't perfect but very manageable. No refrigerator or coffee in the room.

"Impressive remodel"
The DoubleTree Metropolitan is in the midst of a renovation. From the activity on our floor my guess is that we were one of the first guests in this particular room. The remodel is first-rate and feels much more like a boutique hotel than a corporate place to park a bed. I stayed in five different hotels during my recent East Coast trip and this one […] was easily in the top two. The front desk service was excellent too. Since I also stayed at the DoubleTree Chelsea, I can make a fair comparison, and the Metropolitan comes out far ahead because of its modernity. Les mer

"Comfortable and convenient"
Newly renovated room, very comfortable and clean. Great desk. Quiet room. Only downside in the shoulder seasons is that the hotel either has heat or a/c depending on the outside temperatures....and you don't get to choose and may not agree with their choice. You can turn it off and you can open the window. The location cannot be beat and the subway […] connections are on the corner or a couple of blocks away. "Double Tree by Hilton - great for business travel"
All around, a great option for a business traveler. Fast, easy check in (even late, about 10 pm) with a free delicious, warm cookie. Comfortable bed, nice toiletry products. For my fellow female travelers, there was a hair dryer that actually had enough power to achieve a blow-out (it did overheat halfway through, but it cooled down quickly enough not […] to be a real inconvenience in my morning toilette). And the Duane Reade across the street had a good selection of healthy snacks and drinks for a late night or early morning grab on the way to the office, as well as to pick up forgotten saline solution. Didnt do much in hotel but use it as a place to sleep . Great location clean rooms tight but it's not that tight, New York City awesome location only thing is internets too expensive and slow but it could have been my computer overall would come back and stay
"Good Option"
I was in town on business and if your work is in the area, this is a great option. The hotel has a great staff and is clean. You can't beat the price and it is very close to 2nd Ave that has tons of restaurant and bar options. The hotel bar is also very nice to unwind in at the end of the day!

It is hard and will be unfair to rate it accurately as the room I stayed in was still under refurbishing. Only the very basics. One has to ask for bath robe, slipper and even wash clothe. Only soap, shampoo, body lotion and conditioner available Even though the room was dark with minimum lighting, I slept very well. The bed was comfortable. "Good hotel but poor service"
The hotel was nice as far as design and convience to access. However the management at the hotel needs to be completely redone. Management just doesn't care. We got a room came in the first day and the hotel looked nice. They even give you a cookie upon check in. However the problems started after there. First the bathroom door won't lock because the […] door knob and the hole on the door frame were misaligned. Second the power keep going off when you turned on the iron. The whole left side would go out. Then when you called the front desk it took 15 mins to reset the breaker but then they turned off the right side of the room. Called again and they fixed however we had to iron our clothes and then it would turn off again. During this whole show and dance did anyone come to ask if it was fixed. They reset the breaker somewhere on the floor and never asked if everything was ok. Complained to the hotel staff and they were like we will call them again. Then after the fourth time did they offer a room change. They offered to move everything to the new room once it became available. So we went out on the town and came back. Asked the front desk for the new room key and we went to the room. One of our small bags with three shirts were missing. We called they said they would look around, but never found it. However during all this never did manager show their face it was all over the phone. It's a nice hotel but Hilton needs to change the management in this hotel. Les mer

"Doubletree-Lexington"
Overall it was a really nice hotel. The thermostat did not seem to work appropriately and so it was either really hot or really cold, could never get it quite right. Otherwise the staff was super helpful and the location was really convenient.
Would be better if added free wireless in the rooms.
"Some problems with hotel"
There was no way to adjust the thermostat; we were advised to "open a window" if we wanted cooler air. We had lots of hot water, but no cold water, only slightly cool water. The ice machine contained ice which would have cooled the water, but the ice was covered in debris, probably from the construction. There was no "door hanger" to advise the maid […] to either clean the room or leave it alone; we asked for one but it never appeared. However, the maid figured it out and the room was always cleaned and tidied up. I think that when the contruction is over, things might be better. The new paint and appearance of the room was very attractive. Then a little more attention to detail might be possible. The front desk staff, the concierge, the bellmen, the doormen were all very friendly, prompt, courteous and did their jobs very well. Les mer

The bed and furnishings were very comfortable. We had an issue with our safe and the staff responded immediately almost before we hung up the phone. We also requested a fan and once again the service was excellent. I would certainly stay there again as well as I would recommend the Doubletree to all of my friends
"This could be a wonderful hotel...."
...if the desk staff was a little friendlier. They acted like they were above answering questions and it was an inconvenience to be bothered. The bellhops on the other had were warm and friendly. For the most part the rooms were clean but the carpets in the rooms and hallways were filthy and looked as though they are never vacuumed. Either that or […] the vacuums themselves are very old and need to be replaced. I asked to change rooms since there were long gray hairs all over the carpet in the room among other things. We were moved at their convenience. Although the girl on the customer service line was very friendly the desk agents was in no hurry to comply. I ended up going down to pick the key up myself. The new room still had "stuff" on the floor but not as much. I probably will never stay there again even thought it is so convenient to everything. Les mer

"Pretty Standard with a slice of attitude."
I stayed in this hotel for about 5 nights. I am by no means a hard person to please and never really have any complaints or issues with any place I stay at on business trips. My only grip is this. The first morning I woke up in this hotel I was awoken by hammering and drilling in the rooms next to mine. They were obviously doing some renovating and […] that is understandable but this started around 5:30am and showed no signs of stoping at any point. On my way out that morning I politely asked the front desk if they could tell the workers to hold off until at least 9am because I was in NYC for work on a very stressful project and my sleep was a valuable asset to me on this trip. When I asked I was greeted with this response " NO, I can't tell them what to do. They are contractors and I have no influence on what they do" ... and that was that. SO I politely asked what she could do to provide me relief with the situation since I was a guest. She told me she could put in a request to move my room. I said that sounds fine and she told me to check back when I return and I will have a new room ready. When I returned that night no a single person knew what I was talking about. SO I had to go through the whole process again and had to be woken up the next morning again at 5;45am by hammering and drilling. They finally moved my room and told me to leave my belonging as they would move them for me and everything would be set up for me when i return that night. I get back and they had my room changed but my bags were no where to be found. I had to call and they had to find them and then send them up to my room. The rest of the stay was fine and the new room was great with no hammering or construction going on. Overall I liked the hotel and it was a pleasant stay other than the mentioned things above. I guess if you stay here request a room from the start that has no construction going on next to it because apparently they can't tell those people what to do. haha. Les mer

Room was clean & comfortable. Hotel was in a good neighborhood. Only complaint- workmen hammering & running machinery at 7.00 AM on Saturday morning.
No sign of the signature cookies of Doubletree hotels at check-in ! Staff rather unpolite and rude. Excellent location, value for money considering it's NYC !!
"Not so comfortable stay"
I checked my bag early morning to wait for check in time. Handed one duffle bag and one garment bag to bellman. Came back to check in and pick up bag. Garment bag was balled up and stuffed in between two bags. This garment bag was a suit I carried all the way from New Jersey to make sure it did not wrinkle as I had a very important meeting the next […] morning. I called the front desk and was on hold for 7 minutes when another person from the front desk picked up the phone and asked how can I help you? Apparently the first person forgot I was there and did not bother to tell anyone else to pick up call. The suit was finally taken and repressed. The next morning there was no water. No water at all. As I was leaving the calls to the front desk were endless reporting the problem. I did not bother to stay to find out what happened. The hotel is under construction and clearly the person in charge of the process has little experience. Les mer

Not all Double Tree Hotels are the same - this we found the hard way! I thought we were staying in a suite, but instead found a small room which I soon learned was an executive room! Anyway, aside from the cramped quarters for the 3 of us, the air conditioner was broken. It took 2 hours for the repairman to show. We were told it was fixed, however, […] it remained broken! Also, the room safe would not open and after called for security to open, we waited 2 hours for him to show and replace the batteries. Also, there's a cute little place next door for breakfast and lunch, but very $$$$$$$! The best thing about the hotel is the bar! My girlfriends and I enjoyed a glass of wine at midnight, when many places were closed. There, I ended on a positive! Les mer

There is construction going on in the hotel, so the heater in the room was not working. The room was too hot and we couldn't turn the thermostat down, but the employees were very helpful and kind and tried to help us. All in all, it is a very good hotel and perfect location for us.

This is a modern, attractive hotel in an excellent location. Service personnel were generally very pleasant and efficient, except for two strange omissions: We did not get fresh face towels, and in a big room with a king-size bed there was a night table and lamp on only one side of the bed-- how odd! We told them about it and their response was that […] they are in the process of remodeling!!!!
