I think this is a great hotel for the money, but the money is more then I can usually afford so can't make this sort of trip often, otherwise I would definitely stay again. There were 2 chairs in our room, a king size firm comfortable bed and everything was just comfortable.

If you need 5 star service, this is not the hotel for you. However, if you need a place to stay for a week these studio suites are perfect.

Beds were loud - every time we rolled over we woke up. Room smelled bad and was not clean. Is close to airport and the staff was friendly at check-in and out.

The bed will make your back hurt. The kitchen was not clean. The wicrowave had food from the last guest inside it. The pans for cooking were not cleaned. The halls had a foul odor. The Staff was nice.

For the money, I was expecting a great deal more from this hotel. The staff was unable to tell me where there was a grocery store - found it on my own a few blocks away. This might be an important piece of info for an extended stay hotel. Several rooms had been double booked, and the staff was less than courteous to people coming in asking about availability […] and discounts. There was nothing "extra" in the room, not even complimentary shampoo. Other extended stay places I've been at least had paper towels and dish washing liquid available. The linens were showing their age as well. For this price, is it too much to ask for a continental breakfast? This is amenity is typical in the other extended stay w/ kitchen places we've been. We will not be returning to a Homestead. Les mer

Generally the hotel was clean and quiet. We stayed overnight. My only complaint was when we called to ask for extra pillows. We were told to call back in an hour and when we did, they told us they were out.

The hotel was very nice, well-maintained and clean. There were minor problems at check-in (Inexperienced staff) and a wake-up call that didn't come. Otherwise, this a a nice enough hotel, particularly for an experienced business traveler who wants some privacy and a spacious suite/room at a good price. A novice traveler might find the policies and procedures […] a bit unusual, especially if they're accustomed to a regular daily room service hotel. Les mer

I had to make a reservation change at the last minute, which caused a fair amount of confusion on checking in. The furnished alarm clock did not work. On the last night of my stay, I did not get the requested wake-up call, and was very nearly late for work. They were having customer appreciation day when I was there and they fed everyone dinner. They gave great directions to area stores and places I needed to find. Great location!!

The lady at the main desk was wonderful. When I got to my room my trash was not removed and I had no coffee cups or glasses. The bed was hard as a rock so I did not sleep well and I had a seminar to attend in the morning.

Room was fine, especially for the price. But wasn't cleaned well. Don't think it was vaccuumed before we came. We found a cigarette under the bed, in a non-smoking room! We flushed it down the toilet b/c we didn't want the hotel to think we were the ones smoking and charge us. We stayed on the first floor, and were woke up both mornings b/c of how loud […] the shower was above us. Les mer

Day clerk very helpful. Checked in at 11am, came back at 4pm to get key for room. Afternoon clerk didn't know what to do when I came back to desk and told her the room was open and dirty. Checked in with my sister in law and was then put in a room on another floor from her room. There was a reason to book together and to want to be on the same floor […] in same area. Clerk made no efforts to explain or to get me in another room near my sister in law. House keeping needs to learn to clean the coffee pots after each guests stay. Les mer

I was quite impressed by what Homestead Minneapolis offered for its price. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Rooms were spacious and were well-equipped with a stove, an adequately-powered microwave, and a large refrigerator. The bed was adequately comfortable and the cable TV selection was good. The first room I stayed in had a burnt-out bathroom […] light, but the front desk quickly fixed me up with a new room since their maintenance staff had already gone home for the day. Online reservation, we got in late, we are non smokers, specifically reserved a nonsmoking room, got a smoking room. Stunk like an ashtray. We were too exhausted to out up a fight. After flushing the toilet, found the toilet had issues and drained and refilled all night. Also, there was noticeable dog hair on the floor. Room was clean but not spotless, […] seems to be poor management to me, it's a newer hotel. Les mer

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a kitchenette which we didn't need as we were only there one night. It would be great for extended stay. We would stay again. Had breakfast at a Perkins about a mile away.

Rooms showing signs of wear. It is set up for longer stay but I was only on an overnight and it was a good rate. Few amenities but I didn't need any. If I stay again, and I may, I will bring my own pillow.

I found the room comfortable and very quiet which I appreciate. Staff was very accomodating and concerned that my room met my expectations. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely book this hotel again next month.

Friendly and helpful staff. I was attending a conference in the area and this place was close to where I needd to. Bed was comfortable and area was quiet.

We went up for the night to get away from our hometown and this was a great deal for that. Now it would be amazing for a long stay as well. They had a kitchen and supplies for it to set up for two people in our room. Fridge was on and cold. Bathroom was clean and stocked with hand soap but no shampoo or lotion. Bed had clean sheets and blankets. However […] the pillows need to be changed to new ones. They were very old and nothing left to them. Standard cable but very safe neighborhood. Its no where near the airport like stated so it was a quiet night of sleep. Overall great deal, good hotel and nice staff. I would stay there again. Les mer

The hotel is clean. basic, no frills. With 2 double beds, we had plenty of room for 2 teens and I as we used the hotel as a base for activities in the city. The kitchen was perfect for making breakfast and storing snacks. The price was amazingly cheap, allowing us to use our travel funds for activities and shopping. Our room was booked for non-smoking but the smell was very terrible. Found cigarette on window. Bug was on the bed and the beds was very uncomfortable. Never coming back to this hotel again.

good value for price. fridge, stove and microwave in room. sofa bed in our room. clean, quiet. hotel staff very friendly. would recommend. Not the Hilton but definitely would and have stayed there again.

We're big on the little things that improve our overall experience. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied this stay. This room had a poorly patched bathroom wall, no drain stop for the sink (hang onto your toothbrush!), a floppy shower head, dirty upholstery on the chair and footstool, a coffee-maker that spewed coffee all over the counter and into […] a bag of gifts I had purchased, a burned out light bulb stuck in the lamp socket, and no maintenance or housekeeping service available for the weekend we were there. This is our second stay here, and we chose to stay here again because the first stay was great. We will assume the stars were just aligned wrong this time and give it one more chance. Room stunk of cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be non smoking. Guess you get what you pay for. Wouldn't stay here for anything more than the discounted price we received.

Besides soap, no toiletries in room. No heating/air conditioning working in room.

The front desk seems fine, but provides us the card of Sam's club to buy some dinner stuff. The room is clean and the matress is comfortable; however, the shower water has slippery feeling and even the cold water. I am not sure what's the problem it is, but the water might be a uncomfortable reason. All in all, it's good for its pricy.

When looking for an inexpensive hotel for a quick leisure road trip over spring break I was so excited when I saw that one of the most affordable options also had a 4 out of 5 rating on tripadvisor. The location looked safe and I booked it. At no point did I feel like I was staying in a 2 star hotel. I've definitely stayed in 3 star hotel that were […] much worse. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the quality and cleanliness of the room. The hotel is close to airport yet I never heard airport traffic noise. The location was great for us as we went to IKEA and Uptown-we weren't far from any of it. THANKS Homestead, for a great stay while I was in Minneapolis! I will definitely be staying again! Les mer

The environmental controls didn't work, the bathroom had no shampoo or conditioner. The hotel served nothing for breakfast and had no supplemental features such as pool, hot tub or fitness center. The television was an older CRT style affair. The quality and workmanship of the room was second rate. The bedding was coarse and stiff. There was only on […] packet of coffee. I stayed at a competing hotel two weeks prior (Springhill Suites by Marriott) for 3 dollars less per night and they had a pool, hot tub, fitness center, free hot breakfast, large flat screen tv, much bigger room, large sofa and lounge chair for relaxing, free high speed wifi, wonderful bathroom, dining room area with table and chairs.
