Dette hotellet overrasket oss, da vi skulle være der for noen netter. Det var rent, i et anstendig område, vi trodde at det skulle bråke fra veien, men hørte ingen ting på rommet, eneste var AC, men det får man ikke gjort noe med. De hadde kjøleskap og micro på rommet noe som gjorde det enkelt å lage mat om man hadde lyst på noe annet enn vanlig mat en dag. Det var kort vei til et kjøpesenter som var rett over veien. Det var kort vei til en outlet og det var i nærheten av mat som man kunne spise. Ellers så var det rent og servicen var god. Frokosten var som man forventer i USA, søt og noe "normalt". Har ikke noe å si på dette hotellet, parkeringen var også skygget fra annen trafikk slik at vi følte ikke noe ubehag ved å sette fra oss bilen.

The room was big. Had a lounge-area. The room was clean. Breakfast was coffee, juice and muffins. Not what europeans would call a continental breakfast. 15 min drive to downtown Portland. Nice place to stay on a tight budget.

Our family had an excellent stay at the La Quinta. The room was great, the pool amazing, and the breakfast was superb. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Quinta in Portland. It was just a few miles from all the activities we wanted to see, the gardens, mansion and close enough to downtown Portland making it a lot cheaper. The room was clean and we felt very safe. My only complaint would be the neighborhood, it was kind of industrial so there wasn't much of a view. Seeing […] as we went to Portland to explore, the view from the room wasn't a big deal to us. "La Quinta Inn and Suites in NW Portland"
I had a very nice view of Forest Park from my room. The hotel was in an industrial area but had easy access to the freeway and Northwest Portland. I enjoyed swimming in the indoor heated pool. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.

i did not feel warm during thr night i would like to hasve found blanket in room just one sheet and a bedspread was certainly not warm enough during night that is only reason i did not give 5 to all questions but staff were very good indeed and i will be staying again even if i bring my own comfator thank you rk redman
Certainly better than average, It doesn't appear that we got credit for booking in the rewards program. Not clear what went wrong. The hotel was fine though

"Inconvenient location and no a/c in a heat wave"
I booked this hotel thinking it was the one near the airport. Not only was it in a terrible part of town, but the amenities did not make up for it. The only two places to eat nearby were a McDonald's and McTarnaham's Pub. One night we returned to find that all our towels had been taken away and not replaced. The breakfast room was like a greenhouse […] with a row of windows that couldn't open and no air conditioning. Not a pleasant way to eat breakfast, especially with kids. If you are a trucker and need a place to crash for the night this would be perfect but if you are traveling with kids I would not recommend it. Les mer
"Quality Experience"
this hotel offers an excellent value for the money. Great for kids. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean, amenities are superb (24 hr pool and a great breakfast). Easy access to downtown Portland without the high priced rent of downtown. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a well balanced stay.

"La Quinta Portland"
The hotel was fine fo our purpose. The room was clean and suited our needs. The staff at the front desk we less than helpful. They were young and seemed to be behnd the scenes chatting etc. The first morning they were out of waffle batter for breakfast and told me it might arrive after noon, breakfast ends at 9 am. There was also a shortage of tea bags. […] Sunday morning, the did have waffle mix, but no tea bags, imagine telling a coffee drinker, sorry, no coffee today...The third morning they were out of biscuits and gravy. The location was good for us as we moved our daugher to Portland and it was very close to her new home. Les mer
The hotel was nice a little farther from downtown then we wanted but it was very clean. The only downfall was they didn't have any extra blankets.

We did not get maid service one day in either of our rooms. At breakfast, there was no attempt to refill items. The juice machine was broke. A "sorry" sign was put up. No attempt was made to substitute other juices, perhaps from a pitcher or bottles. We would not stay in this hotel again.

La Quinta Inn defines the word accomadation. The staff was pleasant and helpful with all requests. The room was beautiful and clean. The pool and hot tub were open 24 hours. Weight room and guest laundry available. The complimentary breakfast had donuts, toast, biscuits and gravy,homemade waffles, cereals, juice coffee, hot chocolate, (need I say more?) […] Food Mart within view of my room. Very Pet Friendly.(doggie snacks when you check in) A walking path for you dog. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were heavenly soft. Very slow registration. Noisy. In the basement, below ground. Next door party until late, loud music. At 4 am screaming in the hallway. Police called by someone. Lone hotel in an industrial area.
"Not bad, bad location"
The price was right and I wasn't expecting the finest accommodations. My biggest problem was the location. It was on the outskirts of Portland in the industrial area so there were a lot of male truckers. I am a woman and I was traveling on my own for business. I was fine there, but I don't get freaked out about much. The staff was friendly enough and […] when one man wouldn't get off the one computer the hotel had for people to check in for flights and print boarding passes he let me come behind the counter and do it there. The room was clean, and was fine. The moral of this is, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a single woman, but for a cheap hotel that's close to downtown it's fine. Les mer

The staff were wonderful- really helped us make it a great family visit.
I was extremely disappointed that the pool was closed for repairs the afternoon of our arrival. I had called in advance to check and make sure there was a pool. No mention was made when I called to let me know that it would be closed for repairs. i doubt that this was not known in advance,
"La Quinta hotel in Portland, OR"
Hotel was very clean and the jacuzzi and swimming pool nice. Very close to the University of Portland (reason why I used it). Personnel were courteous and responsible to or need. Was the second time we stayed there and both times we were saisfied.
"Not horrible, but I'd probably not stay again"
We stayed one night as this was hotel seemed fairly close to Univ. of Portland that we were visiting in the morning. I'm usually not too critical, as long as the place is clean and quiet. It is in an industrial area, which we understood. Train noise wasn't a problem, but truck noise on both roads in front and in back was evident. The biggest problem […] was the recycling plant that started up at 5 a.m. behind the motel--very noisy and kept me from sleeping in. The place just seemed like an older hotel that recently they tried to remodel, but it just didn't seem done well or even completed (caulking in bath not finished, no door lock on bath door). They have a hot tub, but it was out of order for maintenance when we checked in. The beds seemed clean, and the breakfast was OK, but overall, I'd probably not stay here again. Les mer

The hotel was fine and the staff friendly and efficient, but the location was not great. The area around the hotel was industrial in nature and a long way from points of interest. The location map was misleading - I was looking on the wrong side of the NW Yeon Avenue for the hotel.

This hotel was in the industrial area of ?downtown Portland. It is a refurbished hotel that must have allowed smoking before, because the non smoking room, while clean,did not smell fresh, and had residual old smoke and air freshener smell. Also the table lamp in the room was burned out and did not turn on. It was just an overnight stay to our destination […] so we did not address it. Les mer
"Nice"
This hotel was very easy to get to the zoo and other sights. Only issue was we tried to ask the front desk about transportation to the zoo and he said he was new and did not know that and was very busy so told us to call back in the morning.

Only con was poorly maintained bathtub with sluggish drain and moldy plug which I reported and they promised to improve upon. Pro included free parking and good breakfast buffet.

The hotel is not downtown in Portland so location description is misleading. The hotel itself is fine room and facilities of expected standard. Security a serious issue. 3 homeless people in the unattended breakfast room ate most of the food and left unchallenged by staff. 2 more were seen trying to access pool area later. Our room was not cleaned-staff […] claimed it had been. Complaints about security and presence of non-residents not handled to our satisfaction. I will be contacting La Quinta directly egarding this. "mostly good"
My stay was mostly good. The hotel room was comfortable. I had to change rooms after the first night because the AC was not working properly, but the staff handled this without a fuss. Neither room had a working alarm clock. I had to use the wake up service which worked one day, but I did not get a call the second day. Good thing I woke up on my own. […] The gym area had no clock, no fan and no tv, which did not serve me well, but I made do. I did not dislike this hotel, but would probably look for another hotel next time I am in Portland. "Portland oregon Laquinta"
The front desk personnel were not what I call friendly and helpful. When I checked I had to ask where the room was located and how to get there. I was reserved for three nights and they changed the codes so our room keys no longer worked after the first night. I had to go to the desk and get them fixed, which they did with no apology. At breakfast we […] were accosted with what appeared to be three homeless individuals who were filthy and stunk. It was obvious they were not guests at the hotel yet management did nothing. The hot tub was not hot at all and the excessive foam in it had unsightly brown stuff in it that made it look unsanitary. This hotels proximity to the Rose Garden and other Portland attractions should make it more desirable but the shortcomings I have mentioned will keep it from being a destination for many travelers. "Great N.W. PDX Inn"
This La Quinta is so handy and resonably priced with great amenities I highly recomend, pretty quite too for such an industrial area, but still neat, clean and quitely restful,,,I will be staying here again!!

I was very pleased with the entire experience staying here. Very nice, clean and comfortable, I visit PDX often, I will be staying here from now on...as long as they keep up the very good job!!!!
