Best Western Plus Sea Island Inn - Beaufort

Excellent location - staff friendly and helpful. Only problem A/C malfunctioned during our second Night . All in all we enjoyed our stay.

This place is in the heart of old Beaufort. You will get free parking when you arrive, the rooms are older, meaning that the beds are still comfortable but the carpets are old and dirty and the bathroom is adequate. In the area for a Marine Recruit graduation, easy access to all the base activities AND the local sights. Beaufort is a great town and most of the historic area is within walking distance of the Sea Island Inn.

The hotel room, while a little small, was so comfortable - the beds, pillows, linens, everything was top of the line. The heat/ac unit was a little noisy, but we had a wonderful stay on the second floor.

We love this hotel! This was our second stay for a Marine graduation at Parris Island. All the restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Our room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. We stayed here for our son's graduation at Parris Island and could not have been happier with our choice. My husband is very picky and even he enjoyed the stay. Beds are very comfortable and it was very clean!

We have stayed there many times and enjoy the boasts and the water and the shopping. Best place in Beaufort SC to stay.

The hotel location is in the perfect location to take advantage of Beaufort's historic downtown. The rooms were nice, clean and cozy. The matress could have been better. Very short distance from parking to room. A little pricey I think. Overall I think it was a good experience.

The front desk staff was very competent and helpful. The nice lady that operated the breakfast area was great. Very nice set up. The only downside to the stay was that around 5 a.m. we were awakened as a very large palmetto bug (about a 2" long cockroach cousin) crawled across my daughter's face while we were sleeping. Noise at night and early morning due to family celebrating military graduation . Noise from the air conditioning . Difficult to have a good night , even with ear-plug . They flush the water system , water was dirty after, my wife contracted infection and had to see a doctor . location is great but it is a motel , noisy like a motel .

Excellent location, cordial staff. Only complaint was the noisy air conditioner that interfered with sleep at the Best Western Sea Island Inn.

My family and I were in town for my sons graduation from Boot camp. The location was ideal to celebrate my sons achievement. The hotel staff were wonderful and the sites beautiful. Excellent place to stay. Right in the middle of historic Beaufort. Close to all the downtown shops and restaurants. Great place if you are looking to walk to everything you want to do! We would definately recommend it to everyone.

Recently stayed for five days in Feb 2011. This is an old motel. Paint peeling, front door did not close good and you could see outside through the crack and the noise from the traffic on the street was quite loud. Heat/AC very loud when running. No elevator. If you can't do stairs ask for a ground floor room. Bathroom very small and door to bathroom […] only 24 inches wide. The toilets had power flushers and you could hear every time your neighbors used them. About half of pain pills were missing when I returned home. Did not notice at the time because I didn't need any during stay. Eating breakfast at 8 am was too late because most things were gone, leaving only cereal, toast or bagels. Person at front desk recommended a restaurant, "Emily"s", and we did not have a good meal there and the waiter told us that he gets free meals in exchange for recommending the restaurant. Positive thing--very close to downtown. You can walk anywhere in town from this motel. Because of it's location relative to other hotels I might stay there again. Les mer

The staff was very friendly. Accommodations were outstanding. All sightseeing was within walking distance.

The Sea Island Inn is a modern hotel on the main street in the Beaufort, SC historic district. The amenities offered are at least equal, if not superior to, the historic inns that we have stayed at previously. We had a lovely room overlooking the outdoor pool, which was still open in late November. While the neighboring Rhett House and the Beaufort […] Inn are more charming, as historic buildings they have older HVAC and plumbing systems. The Sea Island Inn was about 40% less expensive than the historic inns and provides free parking and an excellent free breakfast as well. With the money you save on lodging, you can pay for lunch at the Beaufort Inn or one of the other excellent restaurants within walking distance. The downtown shops are easily reached on foot. A "don't miss" in Beaufort is the horse-drawn carriage tour which boards immediately across the street from the Sea Island Inn. This is the best way to view the historic mansions and learn the history of the city. One note of caution, if you are disabled, please ask for a ground floor room as we did not see an elevator. I found a hotel in the middle of a beautiful setting right across from a great marina. I loved it. Very historical as well.

Much better than expected. My brother, a veteran traveler, says Best Western is the best value for the buck and he is right. Now SHHHHH - don't let the word get out 'cause I may want to stay there again but this location is at the end of the beautiful downtown area on Bay st. Once you park you don't need to drive anywhere else - It is all right there. […] Across the street is a great park and beyond that is the seascape. The guest clerk was couerteous in the extreme and let us check in early. A thouroughly positive experience. Steak at Luther's 2 short blocks away is a definate delight with a great view. The handy check in guide was most helpful in locating everything. The pool was just the right siize and VERY clean. I yearn to return, PB Les mer

Schönes Hotel in etwas älterem Gebäude mit perfekter Lage, direkt in der Altstadt und ganz nahe beim Yachthafen. Gutes Frühstück in sehr schönem Frühstücksraum.
