Great weekend in Belfast lots of free places to visit, did the Titanic exhibition, not to expensive , it was very busy as it was the centenary , new MAC a bit disappointing architecture a bit brutal ( Stalin would have loved it ) Hotel fine but a bit noisy at 3:00 on Sunday morning doors slamming screeching voices after and hour I reported it to reception […] and the sorted it out ASAP , get a guide book or get the free guides that exist and just walk around and admire. About a 15-20 minute walk from the major shopping area and 45 walk from Titanic Belfast which might turn some off. However, that's overcome by a very secure parking lot on-site. So for very respectable rates, excellent customer service, secure parking and an awesome breakfast included, this hotel is very much worthwhile.

We had a very pleasant overnight stay. The room was very clean, fresh and quiet and the power shower was great with loads of warm water…I could have stayed in it all day! :) The sheets etc were nice and crisp and new. The secure complimentary parking area at the back was very reassuring with cctv operated gates. Staff were very pleasant and breakfast […] was surprisingly good for the price we paid. The only negatives were our 16 year old said that she could feel all the metal work under the mattress in her sofa bed (which, by the way, was entirely made up for our arrival), the quilts were very thin and not very warm, our bed was extremely soft and the pillows, although nice and soft were too flat when used. We would certainly recommend this hotel and certainly would use it again if the prices remained keen. However, in future, I would ask for extra bedding before settling down for the night! Les mer

we wer e not happy because we did not get cooked breakfast on christmas and boxing day we were told by a very unkind voice that the chef was off and e mails were sent and yet we never received any e- mail .we were starved on christmas day because all places were closed as wev had not prepared anything.Tell peiopleth truth when they book next time

Recently refurbed hotel, high quality of rooms for price in Queens Quarter of city circa 15min walk to city centre. Had expected double room however only twin available on check in, but otherwise no issues. (Probably got a better nights sleep!!)

"Good, cheap and clean, comfortable hotel"
We were staying one night in Belfast and wanted somewhere with free parking and breakfast - this fit the bill. Parking was in secure car park at the rear or on street. Had to get taxi into town centre but only cost around £5.00. Room was clean and comfortable (bed was a bit unsupportive). Only thing was there were a few children running up and down […] corridors very early in the morning but could have just been when we stayed. GOod facilities, would recommend. Les mer

Very nice hotel staff. Were able to help us change rooms went other hotel guest were being very obnoxious and noisy.

The room adequately catered for our needs, there are only two faults we could find, one being that the bed was far too soft and resulted in causing backache throughout our stay. Secondly, there was an obnoxious odour continually coming from the bathroom which was very unpleasant. Nice hotel for price.Breakfast much better than expected as it was only advertised as a continental. Access and exit to the car park works well the only slight minus would be there were just and I mean just about enough spaces for us when we returned to the hotel at 1am.If I need to return to Belfast I would use this hotel again.

Staff at reception were very helpful. Hotel is clean and well-furnished, rooms modern and comfortable, and a very good buffet breakfast is served for several hours each morning. Initial impressions of the location, in the Queen's university area, are that the local area is a bit run-down, and streets have the appearance of shabbiness, but many properties […] are let to students for short term lets, etc, so "to let" boards occur on what seems to be every other house. Botanic Avenue, with its many cafes and restaurants, is at the end of the road, a three-minute walk away. It's a ten to fifteen minute walk to the City Hall and main shopping area, but plenty of buses and taxis to take advantage of. I would certainly consider staying at this hotel again when I next visit Belfast. Les mer

The hotle was decent enough for what we needed it for. The staff was extrealy helpfull, and friendly, the breakfast was very nice, and all of the pubs shops and restaurants were in walking distance. the second night we were there I was not all that impressed with the maids job. The lighting through out the hotel was not the best. We never could connect […] to the WIFI in our room, and had to use the one in the lobby. The worst thing was that they did not have washcloths. We asked for them and was told that they did npot have any. So bring your own. The parking was nice, clean, well lit. obove all else you felt safe. Les mer

Had 2 night in holiday inn express, hotel was lovely car park was secure, breakfast was very good no shortage off anything. only took us about 15minute stroll in to the city. will stay here again on our next visit to belfast!!

Stayed at this hotel for the wkend, first time and I would def book it again. Good location, free secure car parking & breakie to suit all! (Which is served till 12pm sat & sun which is great esp if youv'e been out the nite before) Claudines cocktail bar beside the hotel is a must visit mmm Only downfall was there was only 1 pillow each but we asked […] for more and that was that sorted! We found the accommodations to be well above average as compared to other locations which we stayed at in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland. Although basic this is a nice, clean and modern hotel around 10-15 mins walk to city centre. The area seems safe at night and there is also safe parking facilities on the hotel premises. Our room was spacious although the bed wasn't the most comfortable and could have done with extra pillows. There was only 1 per person! Also they were a bit skimpy […] with teabags and UHT milk in room. Again 1 of each per person. However, the breakfast buffet in the morning had plenty of options. The corridor and lobby area was noisy on the 1st night of our stay as there was what seemed to be a separate stag and a hen party staying there, so our sleep was interrupted. Overall though we were pleased with our stay here and would recommend it. Les mer

A perfect base for seeing Belfast, especially for those arriving by train into Belfast Central. the rooms are basic, but clean. The breakfast until 12 noon on weekends more than makes up for the 'rubbery' scrambled egg and the late bar in reception is useful for those seeking a night-cap. You can walk into the bars & restaurants of Shaftesbury Sq. and […] are only 5 minutes from Queen's and the Botanic Gardens. On the downside, it can be a bit noisy in the mornings with kids running up and down the corridors, but all-in-all ideal for a short city break. Les mer

"Courteous helpful staff, clean accomodations"
We found the rooms at the Holiday Inn Express Belfast clean and well kept up. The staff was friendly and helpful with information and maps. The continental breakfast was a real treat.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise, as we had no expectations. Location in the heart of the student area and near to Ulster Museum and Botanic Gardens, meant a nice atmosphere in the evening. Lots of restaurants, and an incredibly well-stocked Oxfam bookshop nearby (recommended). Rooms clean and spacious. Loved the minimalist decor. The staff were friendly, […] but non-intrusive. When I ran out of the UHF milk in the room, I went to reception and was given a little jug of fresh milk, and I was only expecting a handful of milk pods. Breakfast service informal and relaxed. Staying at this hotel definitely added to our enjoyment of staying in Belfast. Would stay again and will look for other Holiday Inn Express hotels when travelling. Les mer

For the price the hotel was very comfortable and suited our needs to be near the city centre. Only negative was the off street parking which was secure, was a bit tight for larger size cars. Good quality accommodation.

Very good stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Exactly as you'd expect of a mid-range chain hotel. Breakfast was more than adequate and dealings with reception were very simple. Good for families and couples. City centre was relaxed 15 minutes walk but in a student area so great for the University and the student cafes that come with it.
Didn't need to ask because we brought our own, but it would be nice to have blankets readily available. Similarly I'm sure they would have provided more towels if we had asked but they supplied only the minimum. These are only minor grumbles because the stay was very comfortable - one of the best nights sleep we've had.

Next to the university campus, so lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Parking lot was secure. The breakfast was quite good, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us when the free internet in the lobby wasn't working (they gave us coupons for free access to use in our rooms). Highly recommended!
