This was a really fantastic stay we had on the Fairmont Banff Springs. The service was in top from the beginning to the end. Staff is really making sure that you are helped all the time, and they are friendly and open towards guests. If you make it to this little corner of heaven, treat yourself to a stay in one of the most historically significant hotels in Canada. Coming to Banff and not staying at the Fairmont is truly cheating yourself from an amazing experience in a grand hotel. Sure, some of the rooms are rather tight, but they are spotlessly clean and well appointed. Besides, […] you're there for the view!! Make sure you get a room at the back of the hotel which has a picture perfect view of the mountains. Finally, the service here is unparalleled. We splurged on the Gold level room and the quality of service was well worth it. Right from the time of check-in we were treated extremely well - and this with a pre-schooler in tow! No request was deemed too difficult, and we were always well attended to. We had forgoten our luggage on checkout. They personally sent a young man to deliver our bags to us. 8 hour round trip. No charge to us. Now that's above and beyond!!!

we were very disappointed,that when we arrived at the hotel at 3;45pm the staff told us our room was not ready and would not commit to it being ready for the 4pm check in time.when we finally found our room,because directions were very unclear,we were very disappointed to see a second rate room for the kingsly ransom of 509.00,I called to enquire as […] to a possible mistake of rooms and was assured that this was a deluxe room,one of the biggest. we have two small children and about the time theywere to be put to bed,this god awful banging started-extremely loud music.We called to the front desk at 10;30 pm,at our wits end,we were told things would be quiet at 11pm, that we were in the same wing as a wedding,don't you think someone should have let us know,no,at 12 it finally got quiet enough to go to sleep,the next morning we couldn't wait to check out.I purchased two 100.00 gift certificates and when I tried to redeem them was told that they were 3rd party and that the room had ben paid for by expedia,so they wouldn't accept them,now,isn't that a kick in the pants....after all that, in order to redeem our certificates WE HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!! Best vacation ever with my kids! Would highly recommend our itinerary. The falls, iceland parkway, jasper, lake louise. Will return.Probably the most beautiful scenery that one will ever see. Great little town. So much to see.

The only complaint I have about our stay was the bed. We requested a king size bed and got a queen. Also they put us on the newly renovated floor and the bed was tacoed (sagged badly in the middle). Wonderful building, nice outdoor spa and great fake castle like features. However, the hotel general standard is more like an average 3 star. I have stayed in many 4 & 5 star hotels around the world and this one has the lowest standards. My advice is spend your money more wisely. It just wasn't what we were expecting. we paid way too much money for a tiny room that wasn't even updated. Ontop of the cost of the room the wifi was another charge. As well our cell phones didn't even work to get any internet. We needed internet as the restaraunt we wanted to eat at didn't have a menu in the room, were told to go online to get it. […] The pool wasnt very clean either. The only down side to the weekend stay was the in-room dining. We ordered in a meal on a Saturday night and for the amount that was paid the food was quite disappointing. Would recommend trying one of the many great restaurants rather than order in.

Very nice hotel, but still short of being great. Nice location and amenities. However, we were not impressed with the service in the Italian and pseudo-German/Austrian/Swiss restaurant: slow and unattentive waiters, run-of-the-mill dishes, lacking in decor.

Great Hotrl, Great Service. Only problem Rooms are extremely small. Specially the bathroom. You could barely sit on the toilet nad close the door. The rest was OK as expected.

I was a little worried about this reservation when I made it because I saw some questionable reviews, but it was stunning and beautiful! It was just the romantic weekend we were looking for. The restaraunts are fantastic. I thought the italian restaraunt was delicious and classy. As a romantic weekend away without kids, we had an extremely comfortable bed, outstanding staff from the moment we drove up until we left. The spa was well worth attending as we both sat in the mineral baths and simply relaxed in style which was followed by a warm hot chocolate and home made cookies. The staff were most attentive, polite and professional. Cost of wifi is too high. Cost of parking is too expensive. Should be included in the already high daily rates. Dinner and breakfast were truly amazing, as was the service

A great hotel, a real experience, the room is a little small but still worth staying here as there is so much to see & experience in the hotel . Paying for internet was a negative & parking but we joined the Presidents Club which gave us this for free which was great.

A nice surprise when we arrived was our upgrade to the Gold Floor. We had cozy room, with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The only somewhat negative aspect was our room was quite cool and I had trouble sleeping with no fan or white noise as the people across the hall were loud. Very nice hotel. Take lots of cash, beers and food extremely high. Not a real big fan of paying $25.00 a night for parking. Spa was excellent, really enjoyed the treatment we received.

The front desk clerk frowned her nose when her computer told her we booked through expedia for our reservation. Somewhat pretentious hotel which doesn't compare to truly 5 star hotels like the Ritz-Carlton. Although you can't beat Banff for its beauty. The hotel does have a castle feel to it. Loved, Loved , Loved this hotel. The view was wonderful and the beds were extremely comfortable. We took our family 19 - 23 yr olds a well and they enjoyed the outdoor hot pool and hottub. Staying at this castle made our trip very memorable.Will definately be back if in Banff.

hospitality of staff and facilities of public space are excellent. the point is a guest room. our room was valley view and that was marvelous, however window was so small such as vichle's and bathroom is the smallest which I have seen. need to be carefull when make booking. the most important point is "view" but size of guest room is as important as […] view. The staff made my visit memorable. They "bent over backwards" to make my stay comfortable and to assist me with any difficulties. As I have a physical impairment which affects my walking, they made sure I was in the main hotel and not the annex which I appreciated very much. They went to my room to retrieve a wedding gift I had left behind and really, […] I cannot say enough good things regarding the staff. They made my stay very pleasurable. My room was very clean, quiet and comfortable and the bed was beyond comfortable and I really had a hard time leaving it to enjoy the many amenities offered by the hotel. Of course, one cannot rave enough about the location, surrounded by mountains, so whichever way you look, the view is so beautiful. The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel was an absolute joy! We have stayed at some very upscale resorts and the Fairmont Banff Springs is my absolute favorite. Combine the beautiful Banff National Park with the Fairmont Hotel and you can't help but fall in love with all of it.
