The hotel room itself was clean. However there was not enough parking and the walls are so thin I could hear our neighbors enjoying each other company all night long. Also the breakfast was not kept stocked by the time we got downstairs (around 8:30) pretty much everything was gone and the counters were messy.

We stayed here because it was the closest last minute room near Cowboy's Stadium. Ended up checking out and driving home two hours rather than sleep in the bed.

The only reason I rated the cleanliness of the room at the lowest, is because as soon as we opened the door, a very strong odor of cigarette smoke stung our noses. After two days in the room, the mentioned odor was on our cloth as well as on us. We went to the local dollar store and bought several air fresheners. Went to see a Cowboys game. Quick trip. Was very uncertain when I read the reviews of what kind of condition the room would be in but it was decent. I would stay again the price difference was worth it.

Excellent service, courteous staff, made to feel like family and not just guests. Clean roomy room with fantastic bed. Rates were great. Will recomend this motel.

We walked into the room and we loved it. the king size bed was very comfortable. We didn't expect a refrig, and micro but we enjoyed it. The only problem was the TV, you can see double on it. Unfortunately we only had to stay one day and didn't enjoy the pool.

Conditions were deplorable, I refused to stay at this location. Getting my refund was a task!

You get what you pay for. The only good thing about this hotel that it was close to the concert I was going to and that is it!

The staff were awesome. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel definitely needs some TLC. The sink would take forever to drain and the tub dripped the whole time. Bathroom was in poor shape.

The breakfast was small pastries, bread and cereal. The coffee was weak. The carpet was so filthy my feet turned black and the maid service did not vacuum the entire week. The bathroom needed upgrades as did the wash area. All of the basins and the tub were worn past their ability to make it aesthetically pleasant. This hotel was dirty and rundown. I don't think my bathroom had been cleaned. However, the staff were very nice. The complimentary breakfast was some mini danishes and four or five (total) bagels. Not worth it. Would've been worth it at half the price, but not otherwise.

The comforter on the bed was stained. There was hair on the walls. The furniture was old and the chairs seemed like they were going to break. Would not stay there again.

The staff at this hotel was great. We made it there very late in the evening and desk clerk was very acommodating. The beds could use a little work but overall the hotel was ok for the time we stayed there. I felt safe the whole time I was there.

We had a wonderful stay at the Howard Johnson Express in Grand Prairie. The front desk clerk was very helpful with our needs. The breakfast & coffee served at the lobby was delicious. Thumbs up!!! We will definitely stay at your hotel again

This was a very clean and nice hotel. The room was nice and warm when I arrived, and it was freezing outside. The room was almost as nice as my fancy 4 star in downtown Houston the following night. The location is not the best in this small town of Grand Prairie. Nothing is within walking distance and almost no stores have atm machines including the hotel itself. The room looked like it had not been cleaned (bathroom washed and room vaccumed) in a long time. The room was so stuffy and dusty I had a really bad sinus problem. I ran into another […] guest who had the same issue. The staff were not courteous at all. When I called to ask about restaurants nearby they replied with "I have no idea" Seriously! The clerk was very helpful and friendly. Did offer a "continental" breakfast. Located on a main street. Not very far from the Cowboy Stadium and Rangers Stadium. Very pleased with price and location of hotel.

Went to Cowboys game, last minute. Closest hotel we found. The bed was crap, the carpet was old, the breakfast was a joke. But it was cheap, fast, and convenient.

First night, got bed bug bites. Changed room at 2:00am, then it's fine. Second night, got bites again, had to change to another hotel at 2:00am. Night staff was friendly and helpful though. Got one night refunded. But the rest of trip was ruined because of the huge swell of the bug bites. Also got accused by the staff saying I might be the one who […] brought the bug, very rude. The general hotel area was clean and tidy and the receptionist who checked us in was helpful. Our room needed some repairs, the toilet roll holder in the room wasn't actually fixed to the wall and the whole square unit would fall out when you closed the door plus the wall round the shower was cracked and the air conditioning had a strange odor but it […] was at least clean. The hotel was so bad I could not even stay, bathroom had molds, the room was smelling and outside the room was bird poop droppings.. It was horrible.

if ur goin for a couple of days and want somethin cheap and close to dallas or sixflags area, its definately worth a few minute drive

Have stayed at this location before and thought it was ok, but had been a while since and decided to stay again. Shower did not work correctly, found lizard in tub and cockroaches on the floor. Front desk was no help. I would not recommend this hotel to any families due to location
