All I needed was a clean, quiet room in a convenient location. I got just that and was satisfied. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Middle of downtown. Easy to get to and very nice rooms inside. Don't let the outside fool you. Surrounding is downtown and looks old but that's all downtown in any city.

This is a hotel where the doors are on the outside. It's in a very loud neighborhood, so it's not always easy to get peaceful night's sleep, unless you need the ambient noise of helicopters, stray cats, and guests yelling to lull you to sleep. I was very surprised with this hotels customer service, how clean and up to date the rooms were and the location. It's only a $10 taxi ride to the staples center you can't beat that it's way better than driving and trying to find a parking spot trust me we tried. Best you can get for the price and location. I will return.

The hotel was ok. The location wasn't real nice, but the rooms were perfectly acceptable. Bed was nice, fridge, iron board/iron, microwave, all were fine. I would definitely stay there again. Good price also.

A good value for budget travelers; What do people mean when they say "you get what you pay for?" In this case, a well-kept room with the basics. Cleanliness is always a concern - in this case, the room has been taken care of, but is not necessarily clean. The carpets are used. The bathroom is not sparkling, but there is little to no odor. Staff is […] friendly. The free wireless internet (I got 2-3 bars in my room) is a great bonus. Two parts of my experience that could have been improved: 1) The air conditioner has either Low, High or Off settings. It is loud on any "On" setting. 2) Some room doors slam shut (broken hydraulics?). If it is not your own door, other guest's doors slamming shut will echo (sometimes loudly) or even cause your own door to shake when that happens. It is bothersome especially in the middle of the night. I used the laundry room, 75 cents is reasonable per load. The facilities are clean. There is no change machine, so you may have to get it from the front desk. Bunz was a nice place to have dinner. Try the garlic fries. We took the free shuttle to SeaWorld. The driver was a curt to questions about pickup (he didn't speak loud enough to the back of the bus and when we repeated what he said i.e. pickup time at 5:30pm, he said "No, it's in the a.m.") When we did wait for the shuttle pickup later that night we didn't catch it (we weren't late!), the hotel reimbursed the taxi fee, minus tips. Was pleased, especially given its location. Parking like most places in LA was pretty hard, small spaces - don't bring a big vehicle.

Decent place overall, close to downtown. Staff was very helpful - requests for things like additional towels were promptly fulfilled. The receptionist gave us a lot of info about touring the city. Surrounding area is sketchy. Good location to Staples and LA Live. Breakfast is usual mediocre bagels, english muffins and cereal. Parking wasn't a locked and secure lot. I was told that they do have cameras on street level lot, but not in garage below. I wouldn't walk around the area alone. Room was OK. I attended a convention at LA Convention Center so location was ideal. Outside of building not so great...once inside the room very pleased very clean and good service. Asked for quiet room they accomodated my needs.... No complaints...will go back again...

We'll definitely stay there again. The picture online is exactly what our room looked like! It was modern & clean & really nice for being a downtown inn. The bed was very comfortable, although the pillows could have been a little more firm, but they have four pillows on the bed to make up for it (I think). The staff was really nice & there is covered […] parking (first come basis). The area, even for a downtown location, was safe & very accessible to the freeways. The best part is that it literally was a hop, skip & a jump away from the Staples Center for our SummerSlam Axxess event. I think the only thing we didn't care for was the continental breakfast. It didn't open on time, the selection wasn't exactly continental & the space/layout made it quite difficult to get anything in an easy, timely manner. The good news is that McDonald's is just around the corner & there is a really inexpensive breakfast buffet across the street. This is an annual trip for my teenager & I and now we've found our annual lodging too! :D Les mer

Parking is limited, card key stop working for no reason. Room looks descent, the microwave and fridge were nice to have. Convenient location it's an ok place to stay.

I arrived by public transit, Red Line to MacArthur Park and bus 200 down Alvarado to Olympic (normally I would walk this distance). The neighborhood is a little sketchy. I was uncomfortable waiting for the bus at the Metro station. That is the only negative I have about this little place. There was no hot water on our first morning. They had to call a plumber. There was hot water the second day. They put a $100.00 damage deposit hold on my credit card even though I had paid in full in advance. That seemed unnecessary. They kept a copy of my drivers license for their files. Very nice little hotel for a two star rating. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate being free and all. FREE parking is definitely a bonus, since some hotels charge a lot of $$$ per day. Neighborhood is just ok, but the hotel is only a 15-20 minute walk to the convention center and staples center. The hotel rooms were great, very clean and extremely comfortable. The neighborhood can be scary late night and the outside of the hotel looks a bit rundown, but its still a nice place to stay. Not too far from Universal Studios.

When staying near downtown LA, there is no "middle class" hotel rooms. You either pay over $300 a night for a nice luxury room at one of the top notch hotels in downtown, or you get one of THESE rat holes. This hotel is no exception. The room was poorly-maintained. I read previous reviews, so I was ready for a 2 star Hotel. I only needed a place to sleep and take off early in the morning. It is downtown and noise level appropriate for DT. The parking structure is compact. It was the least expensive hotel, and it worked out well.

Good hotel near our destination that will take children. The room was clean. Elevator smells like urine and wet due to pool outside. Rude & rowdy neighbors but not hotels fault.

Neighborhood is a little rundown and rough looking. Everyone was surprised that we talk to from LA saying watch out for your safety in that neighborhood, One of the rooms we had needed air freshner.

Yeah, i went to grab a coffee cup as i was making some before i headed out, come to see, someone left a half full cup of comet bleach in the cup! Very dangerous, unprofessional, and a major health hazard. Extremely disappointed in this hotel's matinence :(

It was great. No problems, good beds, parking each night was included, warm water in showers, I also liked that the shower is separate from the sink area. AC worked well, refrigerator in room was helpful.

The room was actually pretty nice, better than I expected. The lady on reception was very kind and helpful as well (there was also a grumpy guy but I didn't have much to do with him). The surrounding area is a little on the sketchy side, but I didn't feel unsafe walking around as a lone female in the morning and mid-evening. All we required was a clean place to stay at a reasonable rate. This motel provided just that. We were not promised anything luxurious and that was ok. The location of the hotel is good - close to downtown L.A. and USC. It has free parking onsite and basic continental breakfast. We had a room on the back side of motel (away from the street) that was clean and fairly quiet. Overall, it was OK for the price.

The service was very polite (front desk/breakfast lady) but room service literally knocked and barged in the second after. But everything was clean, especially considering how cheap our stay was compared elsewhere! A pleasant stay overall.

Was there for one night to see the a play. The location was perfect and everything was near by and the price was reasonable. Its a great place to lay your head take a quick shower and go.

The second night of my stay, I was awakened at 2:30 AM by two gang members in the hall directly outside my room—on the third floor, I might add—blaring Spanish pop out of a boombox (and singing along, poorly). We stayed here for basketball game. Shower clogged and never drained . Only stayed overnight so didn't change rooms. Tv remote dead and old tv but not to important . Screaming in pool area late night . Poor breakfast . Staff friendly and walking distance to Staples are only positives.

My second time staying here and the room was very clean and spacious enough for us 3 girls and all the crap we love to bring for the weekend! Always cleaned and housekeeping is always around offering sheets, towels, or to take the trash. Microwave and fridge with room for a good deal. Beds are super comfy and clean!!
