Phoenix Inn Tigard - Tigard

I had a pleasant stay. Very nice and professional clerks. Recommendations: Hair shampoo too drying to hair and I would have liked to have hand lotion. There was no writing pad in room next to phone. I was never told if there was coffee available as there are at some of the other Phoenix Inns we have stayed at.

The only unpleasantness we experienced was the attitude of the night clerk wheb we checked in. We certainaly did NOT feel welcome. The day clerk in the next morning was far SUPERIOR.

The room was great.,, Except for the toilet having very low water pressure and needing to ask the desk for a plunger (which we received promptly). We needed to use the plunger about 3 times every day (just paper, folks).

Our family combined business with pleasure during out stay at the Phoenix Inn - Tigard. My husband split his time between work and vacation, but my children and I spent the trip exploring Portland. We loved being so close to the Washington Square Mall - especially the LEGO Store! - on the day that hubby needed the car. My least favorite part of being away from home is leaving behind my tempurpedic mattress. The Phoenix Inn's bed was very comfortable for a hotel! I was happy about that. Hypoallergenic feather bedding was really nice. (If you're hungry, don't pass up eating at Thirsty Lion Pub and Grill across the street. A little loud with the TVs, but excellent food.) […] Breakfast was above average with some scrambled eggs, tortillas, cheese, and bacon bits to make a burrito. Juice isn't watered down! My family and I had a great experience at this hotel. The rooms were large and clean, free breakfast was good and the staff were all more than willing to help with anything we needed. My 3 yr old loved the heated pool and fresh cookies in the lobby. I enjoyed the small court yard and BBQ area where I could find a bit of quiet time to enjoy a cocktail […] and check my email. A nice man working there recomended we take the kids to Johnnys Pizza which we did, it was like a Dave and Busters and Chuckey Cheese all rolled into one with bumper cars and carnival rides on top of the video games and all you could eat pizza and salad. We requested and received a smoking room which we got. However, we felt like we were being punished. The room was less than average as far as cosmetics go. There were no base boards, the whole room looked unfinished. We just felt like we received "less than" accomodations because we smoke--just sayin

I like staying at Phoenix Inn because of it's location. Easy to get onto the interstate road system to get anywhere quickly, and located close to where my children live, making visits that much easier.

The location was perfect as it was very near to Washington Square. I like the room layout that make it looks like a suite. The sound insulation was pretty good as I found It very quite and I had a very good sleep that night. It would be a perfect stay if there are some sausages or bacons in the breakfast.

Great value for just needing a hotel to meet family for a weekend. King bedroom suite had plenty of room for a small party. Kids loved the pool, but too crowded to actually swim. Lots of families traveling to kids competitions. Breakfast was OK.

The room's accessories were outdated but clean and the beds were comfortable (which had 4 star linens and pillows). The bathrooms were clean. This hotel is very affordable and has alot of extras. Fridge, microwave in room, breakfast included. The service wasnt great (at check out). One of two keys didnt work and on day of check out both keys were in- […] active before check out, this was very annoying and seems to be a regular occurrance based on other reviews. Overall, pleased with the spacious, clean room and amenities. Bed was very comfortable, with a variety of pillows. One TV for both bed and sitting area isn't practical if different bed times. Sink separate from toilet area and glasses for sink area at bar. Breakfast was outstanding.

We aren't fans of noisy heaters under the window. When the curtains are closed, the heat goes straight between them and the window unless we tuck the curtain bottoms onto the sill, where they don't always stay. Also, the noise from the fan is very annoying, so we turn it off at night and in the morning the room was pretty cold - end of December. Great hotel, clean and a good buffet for breakfast. Comfy bed too. My one complaint is that when your neighbor lets their door shut by itself, it makes a big loud bang that wakes you up.

Clean and convenient. Nice enough breakfast and acceptable WiFi. This hotel won't impress you with style but it doesn't feel dated either. Positive Items: • Breakfast Dining Area: A diverse selection of hot and cold breakfast items were provided to the guests. • Guest’s Rooms: (Note-These comments do not apply to all rooms) The room and bathroom were laid out, and amenities, were adequate. • Business Center: The business center was easily located and accessible. Negative Items: • Front […] Desk – When the front reception desk attendant is not present, the guest has to vocally call out for assistants. • Breakfast Dining Area: The serving containers/trays were not attended to in an efficient manor. Several guest requested from the kitchen staff to refurbish the serving food and beverage when the containers/trays were empty during the breakfast service. Sanitation –The kitchen staff should follow the proper sanitation procedures while cleaning the surfaces, and tabletops in a kitchen and dining room environment. • Guest’s Rooms: (Note-These comments do not apply to all rooms) The room lamps switches were located near their bulb sockets under the lampshade. Normally the on and off switches are located at the base of the lamp for easier access. There were no conveniently located receptacles for personal use near the desk. The lamps near and on the desk were using the only receptacle outlet under the desk; which provides no receptacle for personal use.
