The room was great, king size bed and in room hot tub for under 100 bucks. The staff was friendly. The free breakfast was also good. The only downside was the the location is right by the freeway and once in a while you hear more noise than you might want to. Alsi the pool is small, more like a puddle.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and addressed any concerns promptly. We did have to change rooms as the mattress was horrible. The bed in the second room was much better but still an upgrade in mattresses would take this hotel from acceptable to fantastic. Rooms were clean and big with refrig & micro and beautiful tile work. So first off the light switches in the bathroom were broken. The screen on the only window that opened was broken, so I couldn't enjoy the wonderful SoCal weather. A lot of the staff speaks limited english, so if you don't speak spanish you're going to have troubles. The facilities are vary old, their wake up service is the front desk person with a […] clock and a notepad. The problem is if the front desk person doesn't make the call you might almost miss your flight, like I almost did. Cab companies don't like to come out there either it took me 40 minutes to get a cab in an where there are cab stands 3 or 4 miles away. There is also a dirty pool there and a sketchy looking RV park next door. There are better choices of places to stay nearby and I won't be back. Les mer

room was clean and staff were friendly. it was a little wierd to have tile in the room instead of carpet but the important part is that the hotel was clean and had a great price. I would def stay again. The only thing i would recommend is that you make sure you have towels. we had alot of towels but only hand towels nicely folded so we did have to request […] some large bath towels but they were brought up right away. The surrounding area is not very clean (back yard and parking area). The attention at the front desk was not very friendly.

Room was clean and inexpensive. Close to places to eat. Stayed there to be close to cricket amphitheater. Cab took us right there and back with ease. Would certainly stay there again.

This hotel was amazing! Cheaper than other lower quality hotels in San Diego. This hotel is beautifully decorated with super clean amazingly comfortable rooms. If they had a cocktail hour i would swear I was at the Embassy Suites. Less than 30 minutes from everything and only 10 from the water park. Highly recommend this hotel. Decent hotel with very good free breakfast included. Overall pretty good value, but a bit too close to the freeway for my liking. Very good for Imperial beach access though. Okay for exploring the Southern reaches of the San Diego area.

Stayed here with some doubts after reading some of the reviews.There was one review that was newer and found was very accurate.The motel has been renovated and is a nice place to stay for the money.The rooms have been refurbished recently and have been nicely done,not a slap dab paint job.The bathroom had nice stone/tile floors and shower.They have […] a very clean refrigerator and microwave in the room along with a iron/ironing board,the bathroom has a hair dryer.I checked out the breakfast and it looked so so,not bad for being included.We opted to have a nice brunch on Harbor Island with the difference that we saved on a room. The hotel was actually very nice for the price. The breakfast buffet was great. The only thing is the pool was out of service, the "convenience" store would only accept cash and had limited items (no water or soda...you have to use the vending machines)...however, these were the least concerns. The main thing is that the hotel is right next to the freeway […] so if your room is next to the freeway you will HAVE FREEWAY NOISE (a motorcycle speeding through the freeway actually woke me up in the middle of the night...lol). Overall, if you get a good price then it's definitely worth it (I did the hidden hotel name deal and saved $15 per night)... Les mer

It was problably my fault for staying at a low cost hotel.. but i had stayed before on a cheap hotels and i have never had an experience like this last one.. Yukkk i would never stay there.. if you can.. try to book somewhere else.. the hallways were completely dirty..awwwkkk anyways I prefer to keep my comments.. simply disgusting!!!

I'm not a high maintenance type, but not low either. this hotel was perfectly fine to me friendly-clean-quiet-near the freeway. I enjoyed my stay.

Hotel staff friendly and room was clean w/some up to date features. Hotel/rooms are too close to the freeway and I did not get a comfortable nights rest, due to all the traffic noise. For that reason alone I would not repeat my stay.

Paid for a room with 2 queen size beds and low and behold when I opened the door, only 1 queen bed. Showed the lady at the front desk my confirmation and she said "she was sorry". By that time I was upset because my business partner had to sleep on the floor because they ran out of smaller foldout beds which I requested. Our room had no iron. Staff […] was very unorganized and confused. Very limited TV stations which the reception was horrible. Old bed frames and furniture was against the back fence which did not help the appearance of the hotel. I would not recommend or stay at this hotel again. Les mer

A family walked in on us...the electric went off in just our room and we had to use a dirty room to finish my hair and to iron our clothes....breakfast was a 1/2 late with protein being available....the info book had the wrong address and wrong phone number which made it difficult to place a order for delivery.....

Did not stay at this hotel was searching for one in Florida and the hotels.com site sent me to this hotel. Called the number on the site and it was in Florida made the reservation online through hotesl.com and the reservation was in California the person in Cali was nice enough to cancel the reservation for me. Not good if you searching on one side […] of the US and when I book the reservation is on the other side. Will never use hotels.com again. Les mer
