Veldig stilig hotell, tøff arkitektonisk og pene rom. Små minus på rommet er en dusj som lekker slik at man må tørke en vannpytt etterpå, samt en lite kald minibar. Altså bare bagateller. Bra rengjøring. Grei service på hotellet, men intet mer enn hva vi ba om. Noen ganger er jo det helt ålreit. Frokosten er dyr og asketisk. Varmretter må man betale tillegg for. Men den er likevel å foretrekke fremfor de elendige restaurantene og frokostmenyene på la rambla (hold dere unna all mat på la rambla). Beliggenheten er upåklagelig. Kort oppsummert et hotell som absolutt er fire stjerner verdig. Stilige rom. Anbefales.

Jeg og min mann overnattet på Alexandra hotell i forbindelse med 4 dagers miniferie til Barcelona. Hotellet hadde ypperlig plassering i forhold til både serverdigheter, shopping og restauranter. Kan anbefale restaurant Cervecería Catalana som ligger 1 minutt fra hotellet (Mallorca 236), her har de nydelig tapas! Ellers var personalet strålende, både i resepsjonen og i baren. De kan mye om byen og snakker godt engelsk. Rommet er moderne inredet og vi fikk en liten balkong der vi kunne nyte morgen solen. Dusjen er herlig, med stor "overhead" dusjhode. Eneste minus må være at sengen var litt hard. Barcelona er en fantastisk by og et opphold på Hotel Alexandra kan absolutt anbefales som et godt utgangspunkt.

Kjempefin tur med 3 venninner. Sightseeingbuss, shopping, fortauskafeer, gode måltider og avslapning på hotellets tak og basseng. Fortauskafeene utenfor hotellet er også veldig ok med hyggelig betjening.

"Fin beliggenhet"
Veldig sentralt med kort avstand til både metro og jernbane, og mange attraksjoner. Ba om å få bytte rom etter en natt og det var ikke noe problem. Positivt. Typisk forretnings- og konferansehotell, men helt ok for vanlige turister også. Eneste minus: Gratis internett bare i lobbyen og baren i 1.etj, på rommet kostet det 6 eur for en time!

"Veldig fornøyd med AC Diplomatic"
Hadde et opphold på en uke på hotellet i slutten av aug 2010. Hotellet har en veldig fin beliggenhet og ligger rett ved en sentral tog og t-bane stasjon. Det tar ca 15 min å gå ned til marinaen, noe som er veldig greit. Det er mange butikker og store muligheter for shopping i umiddelbar nærhet. Forøvring er det kort vei rundt for de som vil på sightseeing. Servicen […] på hotellet er veldig bra. Det er lite støy fra trafikk o.l., samt fra andre rom. Renholdet på rommet var bra. Alt i alt er det et veldig bra hotell som gjorde turen til en positiv opplevelse. Kan anbefale hotellet på det sterkeste. Les mer

Fin beliggenhet, veldig nære gate med de fleste av klesbutikkene og 10 min unna Rambla. Fin terrasse, med svømmebasseng og treningsrom. Bodde også på hotel Silken under oppholdet i Barcelona. Dette hotellet hadde også 4 stjerner, men holdt ikke på langt nær samme standar som dette hotellet.

"God beliggenhet for sightsing og shopping!"
Veldig bra hotell med fin beliggenhet. 2 min spasertur fra Metro og shopping gate (Zara, Mango, Burberry, Massimo Dutti osv.) 5 min til Gaudis La Pedrera. Rommet i 10 etasje var stort og godt, med flott utsikt over byen.

Don't buy the wifi for the room! Total rip off and it isn't cheap. It's nice to sit in the lobby area and use the wifi for free....it's a very comfy lobby with food and snacks! Location was excellent. Room was small but very clean. Bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again.
The hotel was at a central location and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The rooms were clean. However, we don't recommend the cont'l breakfast they offered. It was very expensive for runny eggs, juice, pastries and coffee. Also, it took several hours to check-in, because of the line and no communication with the receptionist. "Hotel Diplomatic Barcelona - wonderful location"
The location is the one redeeming feature of the hotel. It should be a 3 star hotel; the room furniture was not the best and front desk staff not the most friendly. Hotel.com list the check in time of 12 noon, rude manager advised that it was 3 p.m., like all Marriotts, which it would be in November. Too much pork and pastry for breakfast. While the hotel had some good features, it did not impress us as we had expected. The hallway to the room was austere in its lack of decoration. The modern decor would appeal to many, just not to us. The staff was very professional and helpful in suggesting places to eat, checking on our flight time for us and arranging for a taxi to the airport. The […] view from the 10th floor to the east was breathtaking: The Sagrada Familia; various Bell Towers; Torre Agbar; and the Mediterranean in the background. I recommend that you use this hotel as a base but eat elsewhere. The hotel is in the center of Barcelona and is very convenient for touring. Barcelona is a beautiful city and Gaudi is the prime reason for visiting.

We stayed at the AC Diplomat in Barcelona on two different dates, both before & after a recent cruise sailing from the city. The rooms are impecable and the front desk very helpful and friendly - despite my limited Spanish. "Probably best location, amazed by great service."
This was my last hotel on my 2 week trip and the one I was the most impressed by the great service, very nice looking rooms and car garage. Also awesome location. We got it at a really good price that wouldn't justify getting any better hotels At all. Best Value
"Stay at AC Diplomatic"
Great hotel! We got a superior room, which was surprisingly large and easily accomodated two adults and two children. The view was great and the room was very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was a two minute walk from the main shopping district of Barcelona, and a five minute walk from the Gothic District. The only complaint we […] had was the pool. It was closed for maintenance during our stay and it was more like a jacuzzi designed 30 years prior and not kept up very well. Les mer

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great area close to everything. The staff spoke english well and they were relatively accomodating compared to other service people we encountered in Barcelona. We would definitely recommend the hotel.
The maid lost my chemotherapy and after I reported it no one even bothered to follow up or apologize. The hotel is pretty and clean the location is convenient to everything the rooms however are EXTREMELY LOUD. you can hear EVERYTHING, talking, shoes on the wood floor, doors slamming, toilets flushing. partying. many guests come in and out at all hours […] and party in their room, unable to sleep through the night. Hotel is excellent in every way: clean, elegant, good firm beds, wonderful service, quiet room (important in Barcelona) good coffee (but costs extra). Price of room is high but worth it. Train from airport stops only one block away from hotel, so you save about 60 euros on taxis (back and forth to airport). Hotel is located in the heart of the Gaudi-district […] of Barcelona, everything is nearby or easily reachable. The one exception to this excellence was their awful wifi set-up. This hotel is well located but still requires a little walking. The free mini bar is a nice bonus. But, there is no safe in the room. The staff was not quite as accommodating as my previous visit. I really enjoyed this hotel the first time I stayed but not as much this time. I stayed 2 nights following my trans Atlantic cruise. I didn't recall hearing […] noise from other rooms previously, but I did on this stay. It was warm but I couldn't get the A/C to work. I wasn't supplied with towels the second day without asking. "Slightly disappointing"
Could have been a lot better. Small room. Bed makes a lot of noise. Gym a bit outdated. No iron in hotel? Must pay for ironing service. Free internet in lobby but very very slow. Long line at check-in. Service a bit indifferent. Redeeming quality-- the location is fantastic. Close to everything.
The location was very good and breakfast is value for money the only thing is that there is not a good choice of food at the restaurant

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and found it to be rather stark and somewhat unfriendly. When approached the staff was helpful and spoke English when they needed to. We had ants in our room, but it was not a serious problem so we did not report it until we left. The hotel is ultra modern design - great if you like uncomfortable furniture. The hotel and […] room was clean. Staff could detail a little about the hotel when checking customers in. e.g. where the dining room and bar lounge area is along with the gym facilities. There was no visitor information for us as we were tourists. I guess Canada has a different approach to our visitors and make every effort to welcome them with information on dining spots, attractions, etc. We managed our own touring and locating what we needed even though we don't speak the language. I will seek out a more friendly and traditional hotel in Barcelona on our next visit. Les mer
