Thavorn Beach Village & Spa - Kathu

We had a two weeks stay at Thavorn Beach Village and we could have been there longer. The Hotel Village is / has a very nice garden and spacious swimming pool just of the private beach. This is a very nice hotel if you are looking for peace and relaxing outside the lot more noisy Patong. The Hotel is located a bit remote so you need a Taxi or scooter […] to get to any other restaurant than the Hotel s rather expensive ones compared with local prices. The beach is a mix of coral and sand. You can only use it with comfort when the tide is high but the private pier and sun deck is a good alternative. Enjoy. Les mer

Had a few issue with the bathroom not working and outside spa was difficult to use due to lack of cover so was always full of leaves

The resort is nice. We just had a few problems in the room. There is no internet in any room. I was told that there is wireless internet in all rooms before I went. But when I reached I tried logging in and could not. Then reception told me that there is no internet in any of their rooms and if I wanted to access I had to come down to the reception. […] I took a ocean view villa which was really far from the reception. So I gave up on using the internet during my stay. The TV was horrible not clear. There was only 1 electric point in the room. This point is connected to a light near the bed. So if the point is on the light has to be on too. So we could not put our phones and cameras to charge during the night cause the light was on while sleeping. I called the electrician and he said he could not do anything about it. The exhaust was not working in the bathroom. and when I called the electrician he said he will come back but no one came back. The safe was not working. Every time I entered a code and close the safe it would not open again. I called the maintenance guy and waited for 30 minutes no one came and then i called again and the got angry and told me he cannot come fast. So I waited more than 1 hour for the safe guy to come to open the safe. Then the guy tells me I am entering the code wrong. So I asked him to set a code and lock it and the same thing happened. The hotel is amazing, lovely grounds, pool is fantastic & beach is great. It felt like a real slice of luxury in a very relaxing location. The garden view bungalow we had was fantastic. Great setting in the garden & 2minutes walk to the beach. The only draw back seemed to hr the attitude of some of the staff. We were not all inclusive as most people […] seemed to be & so that was a drawback as the staff were used to all inclusive guests & then charging for any other little thing they could. They were very unhelpful. When it came to providing any help or advice, and I have never known a hotel that refuses to help with eg transportation options to / from the airport (especially given the location of the hotel 5km from a town), they simply said they didn't know & said we had to use the mafia taxi. They also tried to find lots of things to charge us for when we checked out.....including a lost umbrella which hadn't moved since we checked in. It did taint the end of our stay there. However, overall a great hotel, amazing setting, nice beach; just a bit pricey if you're not all inclusive for drinks, snacks & food as no shops etc within 5km & hotel food / drink is double that in the towns of kamala or patong. Stayed 4 nights at Thavon. Enjoyed its beach , beach side pool . Its beach is private and very good condition, however due to tide its not in condition to swim after 6 in evening. However beach side pool is an awsome place to enjoy. Breaki was good . The only thing is its far from patong beach . Its only 8 minutes , but tuktuk charges atleast 70 pp […] in day and 110 pp in night. hotel got free shuttle in 10 am and 3 pm, one way only. Apart from that nice private beach is main thing. With a desire for a more luxurious and hidden away hotel, my group and I were very excited to find Thavorn beach village and spa. Our excitement quickly turned to misery when we found our top of the range villa to be in complete state of disrepair and highly dilapidated. The hotel staff did nothing to help and were almost mockingly careless. Booked […] 3 nights, we could only handle one and they made us pay for 2 nights. I have been to may hotels and this has been by far one of the most enjoyable stays. The staff and service were exceptional, food (especially the Old Siam Restaurant) was incredible. Cocktails and pool were stunning. We could not have asked for a room with a better view. Ocean views and overlooking the pool. The rooms are spacious and clean. A mi marido y a mi nos encantó. Reservamos una habitación con acceso a la piscina y es la mejor opción que pudimos hacer (recomiendo éste tipo de habitación porque así no hay que coger el funicular para subir a las habitaciones con vistas al mar). El hotel es super tranquilo, lleno de vegetación, acceso directo a la playa, instalaciones preciosas y […] bien cuidadas y un servicio excelente. No nos esperabamos que fuera tan bueno por las opiniones que habíamos leído, pero desde luego superó todas nuestras espectativas. Está situado a unos 10 minutos de Patong (la zona más bulliciosa, turística y ruidosa de la isla) y a 5 min. de Kamala. Tiene una playa privada un poco rocosa pero muy bonita y tranquilísima y la piscina es espectacular. Hay una furgoneta que te lleva a Patong gratis dos veces al día y si no, hay taxis disponibles en la entrada. El personal del hotel es muy agradable. Recomiendo éste precioso paraíso a todo el mundo que quiera tranquilidad cerca de todo. Volveríamos sin dudarlo. Les mer

Vistelsen var på det stora hela till belåtenhet. Tyvärr stängde pool, gym, pingisrum redan klockan sju så underhållningen på hotellet var lite tråkig. Men och andra sidan blev kvällarna och nätterna väldigt lugna utan störande moment. Mest barnfamiljer och par på semester ändå. Et lækkert sted med privat strand og den største og mest imponerende pool vi har set. Priserne er højere her end andre steder i området, men stadigt ganske overkommeligt. Hvis muligheden er der så vælg et af deres nyrestaurerede Beach Front Villas! Forvent en del russere på resort'et.

リゾートホテルの雰囲気は非常に良かったです。 日本人女性のスタッフがいて対応は良かったです。 ただ、いかんせん、設備の古さが目に付きました。 お湯の温度が低く、水風呂のようでした。 あと近所には何もなく、シャトルバスでパトンビーチに 連れて行ってはくれるのですが帰りはタクシーになるので、 毎日ですとそれなりの出費になりました。 泳ぐことは出来ませんが（パトンビーチも）ホテルの目の前が プライベートビーチになっているのと、プールは良かったです。 家族連れで行くのでしたらおすすめホテルです。

Das Hotel befindet sich zur Zeit im Umbau. So werden alle Beach-Front Bungalows momentan Umgebaut. Aussicht auf die Baustelle von unserem Garden-Bungalow her natürlich nicht so toll. Pressluft-Bohrungen während des (durchschnittlichen) Frühstücks auch eher suboptimal. Pool- und Garten-Anlage sonst sehr schön, eigener Hotel-Strand, lädt bei Ebbe jedoch […] (logischerweise) nicht wirklich zum Baden ein. Preise überteuert, wobei für Patong-Verhältnisse wohl eher nomal. Hotel verdient bei Taxi-Bestellungen sicherlich mit.....Günstiger von ausserhalb des Hotels. Würde das Hotel zur Zeit definitiv nicht empfehlen, schade haben wir das nicht zum Voraus gewusst (oder uns zu wenig informiert). --> Hotels.com: meine Empfehlung: Thavorn Beach bis auf weiteres aus dem Angebot streichen oder günstigere Preise aushandeln. . L'hotel est situé a 15 min du centre ville, Patong Beach, ce qui est agreable.Il y a une plage privée et l'hotel est magnifique, le personnel tres gentil. 2d voyage au thavorn beach de patong (nakalay exactement) Situation excellente, en pleine nature au milieu de la verdure mais à 5 minutes de Patong... il faut néanmoins prendre le TUK TUK ou louer un scooter. c'est la meilleure solution je pense : il vous en coutera environ 30 à 35 euros pour 15 jours ! lol Hotel très typique, totalement dépaysant, […] personnel en tenue traditionnelle, souriant, qui maitrise bien l'anglais (la plupart), et qui font tout pour vous satisfaire! Buffet varié, nourriture fraiche et bonne ! (buffet thai et europeen) Rapport qualité prix excellent par rapport à ce que l'on peut voir sur d'autres hotels, décevants ! Pour cette fois, nous avons d'ailleurs eté surclassés ! en effet, des travaux juste derrière notre bungalow vue mer ont démarrés peu après notre arrivée, la reception nous a téléphoné directement pour nous changer de chambre ! Nous nous sommes retrouvé dans une suite de 80 m² vue ocean , magnifique !... 2 lagons gigantesques et magnifiques, et une piscine, plage privée accès direct à l'hotel (sans traverser de rue, rare a patong)), Spa , etc, etc ... Hotel a recommander !! reservation facile, se place entre un 4 et un 5 étoiles . Pour en avoir vu et visité pas mal, d'autres hotels 5 sur patong ne valent pas celui ci , et coutent 3 à 4 fois plus cher ! bref, le pied ! Cet hotel est vraiment idéal pour un séjour reposant. Le cadre est parfait : superbe piscine, accès à une plage privé, et suffisament éloigné de Patong pour ne pas subir les inconvénients de cette ville animée.
