Hotel was in the best location. We would definetly stay at the swiss again. Rooms are large and pretty clean. The bed linnen and pillows are very comfortable and considering the hotel is in the middle of the CBD our room was well insulated and super quiet.

Once again enjoyed stay. Room was often too hot or cold, difficult to adjust a/c. Overall woudl recommend property. Exclelent food choices.

We had a fantastic time at the Swisshotel in Sydney. The facilities & service were excellent. The staff were friendly & welcoming. The location was perfect. Highly recommended. We got a great deal so it was also value for money. I can't say enought about this hotel!

we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and the proximity to the State theatre, The QVB and other shopping precinct was brilliant. Also a pleasant walk to Circular Quay where we dined and watched Vivid Light Show on the Friday night.The breakfast chef (lady) was especially nice and it was very pleasant to start the day with her as nothing was a bother always […] smiling and obliging. Wanted to splurge on the last night to have a good rest and decided on swissotel as they provide 2 double beds, suitable for my group of 3. But the beds were too soft and ended up I didn't have a good night's rest. The worst part was there's no wifi as "it's outsourced" and thus the hotel is unable to provide free wifi. This place although in a good location really does not live up to the Swissotel name. Our room had bubbly carpet and it really was quite old in style. The hotel staff were decent but not overly accommodating. The hotel also has a funky double elevator situation from the street mini lobby to the main lobby which is just annoying.

From the moment we walked in greeted with friendly staff our girls weekend stay was great. The bed was comfy and the location so handy. The only downfall was a leaking toilet and the bar was closed at 1145 when we asked for a coffee.. Overall very happy.

All the staff are absolutely wonderful, so very polite, friendly and welcoming. Their professionalism was second to none, no task too small. Rooms were very lovely, so spacious and clean. Bathroom was beautiful. The beds were extremely comfy! The only issue was the breakfast buffet, very disappointing. The area with the food is too small and over crowded […] very easily, the buffet was not topped up enough and was essentially empty for the duration of our breakfast. To order eggs was an ordeal on its own, even if you did manage to eventually get what you asked for. The kitchen staff were unable to supply the demand and were quite often flustered with too many orders or tasks. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would indeed stay again and would recommend staying to others, but advise strongly against the hotel breakfast service. Les mer

Good hotel. Staff keen to please. Nice room and all very clean. Two points worth mentioning, but not desperately important. Unless you attended breakfast early the availability of all foods was slow. Breakfast restaurant appeared overwhelmed., and secondly, in keeping with most large hotels, check your bill carefully to ensure extra's listed and charged […] were accurate. Overall it was a lovely hotel. staff were friendly. Disappointed that bathrobes were not offered. The cleaners also forgot to service our room one of the mornings.

Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. I have been to Sydney a few times and I can't imagine a much more convenient location if you are looking for a good central locale and the best shopping venue. The quality of the hotel overall was 5 star. I would not pay for any more and would not settle for less. Clean, quality and reasonably priced. The staff were personalising my stay. You couldn't ask for a better experience when you haven't been on the dating circuit for more than 5 years. The Swissotel staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Room was pleasant and the location very convenient and an Circular Quay was close and easily accessible by public transportation.

The hotel is perfectly located near the major shopping places - QVB, Pitt Street Mall, Strand Arcade, Westfield Plaza, Myer, etc; also a short monorail ride (or walk) to Darling Plaza; a 7-8 minute taxi ride to the Opera House; and a 10 minute walk to the NSW Art Gallery. Our small family used this hotel for a three day visit to see the sights of Sydney. We did not eat in the hotel so I can offer no comment on its food. Its location however does lend it to being within walking distance, about 10 minutes maximum, from dozens of delightful restaurants at Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. The famous Pitt Street shopping […] malls are literally 30 seconds away from the front door of the hotel. Our family room was spacious and spotlessly clean. All of the staff we met and spoke to were polite and helpful. We were aware of Sydney’s reputation of being a very expensive city but we found this hotel to be value for money and we would have no hesitation in visiting this one again and recommending friends and family to give it a try. This hotel is in a great location. 5 min walk to darling harbour and 15 min walk to circular quay ,Sydney bridge etc. rooms great and spacious . However they wanted to charge 25 dollars each time we used wifi and 35 dollars for breakfast. Give me a break . We ate our breakfast out in fab and most places have free wifi. Helen

Terrific location right in the heart of town and close to shops, restaurants, public transport etc. We were on the 15th floor and heard no traffic noise whatsoever. The beds were comfortable, but why do they persist in using dunas on the beds, as though we are in Europe somewhere? Dunas are much too warm and cumbersome for the climate in Australia in […] summer, even with air-conditioning available. After 2 nights of persevering with the duna, we asked housekeeping for a sheet and this was promptly delivered, and we were able to throw the thick duna aside and finally slept comfortably. The TV could not get one of the standard channels that we had specifically wanted to watch, and I suspect never has been able to receive it clearly- just wish we'd been warned beforehand so as not to have wasted our time persevering with it (and the hotel's electrician who was called in to try and fix the unfixable). The TV set was also positioned very poorly, so that only one person could see it properly whilst in bed, and the other had to sit on a chair to get a decent view. Would also have appreciated a mirror over the desk in the main room so that a hair dryer could be used with ease there, as there was no plug for the hair dryer in the bathroom where the best mirror was situated. Staff were very obliging and the hotel was generally very good with the exception of those few annoying problems, but they are drawbacks that could easily be sorted by the hotel. Les mer

Great location and very nice room. Once you get over the confusion of having the lobby on level 8, it's all fine. Initially I was concerned when I found out my room was right next to the lifts, but was never disturbed by them so it wasn't an issue at all. Even more convenient really! Air conditioning was very noisy. It kept me awake, even with earplugs in. The room was nice, but quite small and there was too much furniture for the size of the room.

I got a good deal, so I was pleased overall with the value for money. But if this hotel is more than $200 per night, I wouldn't pay that. It is not really 5 star. There were a few little things that didn't matter much for a few nights stay, but were still noticeable. eg. there was no bathrobe, no power point in the bathroom, no blanket, no re-stocking […] of my mini bar after the first night, some mould in the bathroom, and a dirty bathroom floor that hadn't been scrubbed in a long time. You could probably ring reception for a blanket, though, and I felt these things were all little things only. The check in process was quick and easy, the staff were courteous and pleasant, the room service meal was delicious and fast, 24 hours of wifi, fast internet connection was $15 which I thought was good value compared to other hotels. The location is great - one block from Town Hall station and from St James, so it is easy to get to from the airport using the train. And although not plush, the room was certainly nice. We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. Breakfast is very nice. Two things did not work too well, our safe did not work and there was no powerpoint for the hairdryer in the bathroom. The location was also very good. We would stay there again and would recommend it to our friends.

We have never experienced this hotel before and upon arrival were immediately impressed with our greeting, helpfulness of staff and smooth check in. I believe people of all walks of life would feel at home at your hotel. The price is right, the experience is unforgetable. Thank you for making our trip to Sydney the best it could be.

Everything was fantastic! The staff were friendly and very helpful with making dinner reservations and they even remembered that it was my birthday! The rooms were quite spacious and the bathrooms were beautiful! Highly recomend!

Location - perfect Hotel condition - level 8 (5 stars), room condition (3 stars) - dated Staff / service - 5 stars pool and gym - 2 stars (small and packed) I had a king size room with a king size bed. However, hotel provide a single quilt but with the king size quilt cover... not for 2 people and a tall person!! this is not a 5 star.

We recently stayed here and found it to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Its location is fantastic, being situated in the Westfield Mall central Sydney on the 8th floor. You are right amongst the shops, within walking distance to all of the sights and shops. The bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet and the bathroom was very generous […] in size. The shower was huge! A fantastic make-up mirror and good lighting and a nice supply of shampoo, conditioner etc. The restaurant however we found to be very expensive and so were the drinks. However, that aside, I would highly recommend this to anyone, but particularly couples and business people. Les mer

thankyou swissotel for making our stay a wonderful experience. we have a three year old and a seven month old and sometimes staying in hotels with young kids is difficult and sometimes feel like we are imposing because because of this. definitely not the case at swissotel. from the moment we stepped into the hotel we were made to feel welcome and at […] home. nothing was a problem, in fact the staff went out of there way to make sure the kids were comfortable and happy. my wife travelled to brisbane for one of the nights so it was daddy and two kids overnight without mum. well i didnt think it possible but the staff and facilities made my night relaxing and enjoyable. the kitchen even orginised some melted cheese on toast for my three year old son to be delivered to the room for breakfast, even though it not on the menu and in the busy breakfast hour. this is just one example of many of how the staff went way above and beyond to make sure we were happy.this along with the location, the food, the bar and concierge ticks all the boxes for excellence. i would thouroughly reccomend this hotel to anyone wanting a memorable experience for all the right reasons. thankyou swissotel, we will definitely be back. An excellent location - however the rooms are tired (but still very clean and staff are very helpful and friendly). If you want to be where all the action is this place is for you - but don't expect anything more than beige in terms of their rooms. Lovely beds and very comfortable.

A nice couple of nights at the hotel. Room was a bit small in considering the price of the room but you can't go wrong with the location. Only negative thing was that we booked for 3 adults but only two bath towels were given.

The check in was good and straight forward. Found the bar staff need training in customer service with respect to politeness, speed of service as well as hygiene (very poor). Surprised to find out on the last day via Central Train Station staff that there is a free inner city bus, which hotel staff had not bothered to mention. Also caught out on Valentine's […] dinner that was preset, which they had not communicated and which was a little over priced for what it was. Overall, the hotel is pleasant though with the cost being on a par with other similar starred hotels and so would not return to Swissotel next time in Sydney. Les mer
