Days Inn Mesquite - Mesquite

In spite of a few negative reviews which I had previously read prior to staying, I found the Days Inn to be quite clean and comfortable. I do, however, prefer and outdoor pool, and this pool is indoors. Price was right. I would stay again.

Bed very comfortable. Clean. Loved the cold water indoor pool. Don't understand people who smoke in nonsmoking sections of motels (and/or ventilation systems that can't filter it out? Not sure which. Think someone was actually smoking in a non-smoking room on our floor), How sad that people don't understand the very severe health problems that smoke […] causes some of us. It isn't just trying to be mean to smokers, or petty, or anything else. It is the severe migraine headaches and asthma and allergies that send us to bed or the ER. All that being said, the room itself had no smell of smoke. It was just hallways and stairs. Once in the room, it was very comfortable, and my sister had no problems with it and did not have the problem with the halls that I did. Les mer

Please read a majority of the reviews of this hotel before making a decision to stay. I unfortunately only read a few (that happened to be good) before choosing to stay here and I regret it. If you are looking for a place to lay your head, its good for that, anything else, you are wasting your money. This is an older hotel, as other reviewers have mentioned, but it is conveniently located and clean. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool while I enjoyed the hot tub. Overall, it was a great place to shower and rest our head after a busy day running around to nearby attractions!!

Very clean,including the pool. Friendly people checked us in and furnished anything we asked for.

Stayed two nights on business in the area - hotel was clean and quiet. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Would absolutely stay here again.

Very pleased, the carpet and bedding were new, the room had a fridge and micro, hair dryer, iron/board, safe and high speed internet at no extra charge. Great room for the price.

They are supposed to have breakfast at 6 AM every morning. At 6:15 AM you could look thru the night window and see the man sleeping. When I rang the bell, he told me that 'they are preparing' give them 15 minutes. Frozen Miniature muffins, cinnamon rolls, bread and Eggo waffles were brought out one tray at a time with 6 of each thing on them by the […] same man that was sleeping minutes earlier. The coffee was then made and last thing to come out was a carafe of 2% and regular milks. We had planned on staying another night but the bed was so hard, we chose to drive towards home and find other lodging. Les mer

The Days Inn has made some improvements to the carpet and front entry but would be nice to use a comforter that doesn't have cigarette burns in it. The pool was so cold and the hot tub didn't work.

Hotel seems OK on the surface because it has been newly remodeled. However, the service and management are terrible. We found a coffee-colored stain on the sheets--as if they had not been changed from the last occupant--and called the front desk to have them changed. The person at the desk (apparently the only person running the hotel) refused to do […] it, saying all he could do was offer a new set of sheets. When my wife (with a bad back) put on the new set, they were for a double, not a king, so we had to call again, with him again refusing to do anything but provide another set of sheets, this time king-sized. great location, surprised by the quality of hotel

Close to hwy 635 with ample parking the Days in is a great place for a few days. The Indoor Pool and Hot Tub was small but very relaxing and will be great through this coming winter. Breakfast offerings were meager but adequate. Room was very comfortable and furnished well.

This hotel is in need of renovation, the appearance is very dated, doors difficult to open, obviously broken, no elevator made things very inconvenient, particularly carrying luggage upstairs, stairwell area was very hot as well. Room comfort over all was ok, though I think the room could have been cleaned better, there was dirt left in the bottom of […] the tub. The shower head was broken and did not work properly, settings were difficult to change. Not bad for the price I suppose, but I was just there to sleep for the night, would not recommend this hotel for an extended stay basis. Les mer

This Hotel was a nice hotel. There was new carpet and it didnt smell like an old hotel. The only thing was the water smelled and tasted like dirt, the light over the vanity was very dim like it needed some work. There was only 2 towels for 2 adults. Other than that it was a really good stay. Very quiet.

Although the hotel was mediocre at best, the staff was very pleasant and friendly. The hotel was old and a little run down. For the price, it was an ok place to sleep.

BEFORE MAKING MY RESRVATION ONLINE WITH HOTELS.COM I HAD READ ALL THE REVIEWS ONLINE FOR THIS HOTEL, I WAS THINKING COULD IT BE TRUE BUT THEN IT WAS SO CLOSE TO MY WORK PLACE, SO I DECIDED TO STAY AT THIS LOCATION. STAFF WAS REALLY GREAT AND EVEN HEALPFUL, MY ROOM WAS ON SECOND FLOOR AND I HAD FEW BAGS WITH ME, CLARK CAME TO HELP ME OUT TO CARRY IT ON TO SECOND FLOOR (HE WAS NOT AN BELLBOY BUT HE STILL DIDNOT MIND TO HELP ME OUT SINCE I HAVE TO TAKE AN STAIRS) BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR IN HOTEL. Upon checkin clerk tried to get me to leave credit card. I refused because room was prepaid. Then he presented me a slip for MC charge for signature. Card was NOT mine. After first nite in room, A/C stopped working. Had to change rooms. Despite my prepaid 5 night stay, they elected to have my electronic keys expire within every 24 hr period. When I […] complained, they said it's due to cell phones. BS I worked in credit card industry for 12 yrs and I know about mag strips. Maids cleaned rooms never checked for empty toilet paper or left regular coffee packs (plenty of decaf). Pool was green and closed 3 days of stay. No elevator, had to carry luggage to second floor. No downstairs rooms available despite the place being nearly empty. Hands down if not the Worst experience I've had, it was 2nd worst (both at DaysInn). Interestingly enough, I stayed at his location more than a year ago and it was 1000% better. No telephone in room so had to walk downstairs to front desk. When pool finally opened, asked for 5 pool towels for my grandson and his family to come and swim. (Why I booked this hotel with pool in first plc). I was told I could only have 2 so that other guests would have some. What other guests (empty parking lot). For a few dollars more Microtel on Pendleton in Garland a much better option!! Les mer

The blow dryer didnt work. Ask for an extra pillow and never got it. The plug for the air conditioner did not work unless you wiggled the plug. Over all bad place and service. Never again!!!

I was not impressed with this hotel at all. I thought the hotel was very outdated and the carpet was in desperate need of cleaning and replacing. Upstairs on the second floor there were carpet squares not securely attached. It appears that there was a problem of some sort and some one cut out a square and replaced it with a similar cut out but didn't […] secure it. Because there was no elevator I was given a 1st floor room (originally had a second floor room) and once I walked into the room I turned right around and went back to the front desk (room odor was horrible) and requested my original room on the second floor and endured the track up the stairs with my luggage. Movie theater, restuarants

Friendly, helpful staff. Originally had me booked on the 2nd floor. After I explained that I had a disability, I was moved to the first floor, which was a help as they don't have an elevator and I had a number of bags to carry.

Employees where not at all helpful when asked for information or directions about places in the area. The back entrance door had the handle broken off. At breakfast they were out of juices and did not seem to care, The air conditioining in the hallway was not on or was broken.

Our stay at the hotel was good. We were there for a car race and the motel was located close to the yrack, and driving was easy.

Within a mile of the Mesquite Rodeo. Very nice walk if you don't want to deal with the parking areas.

Front desk staff was excellent, professional, and even very friendly (specially TJ). I would recommanded this Hotel to my friends and family likely. Rooms were clean and the Beds were very Comfortable I fall an sleep like an Baby.
