Greit hotell i gangavstand til det meste. 4-5 min til Plaza Mayor og 10-15 min til Prado og Sofia Reina.

Bra beliggenhet i nærheten av Plaza del Sol. Rent og normalt vedlikeholdt. Ikke veldig stort rom. Noe harde madrasser for meg, men sånn er det i Spania. Hadde nok hjulpet med en overmadrass. Frokost kan jeg ikke uttale meg om, da jeg heller velger å finne en cafeteria - hotellfrokoster er generelt overpriset.

Dette hotellet anbefales på det sterkeste. Rimelig pris i forhold til standard, og perfekt beliggenhet. Hotellet ligger i en rolig gate, så det var lite støy. Rommet vi tre som reiste sammen delte var romslig, rent og innbydende. Ansatte var hyggelige og behjelpelige, så dette er et hotell vi absolutt kunne tenkt oss å bo på igjen.

The hotel's location in relation to the city's main sights is its best feature. There are stunning views from its roof terrace. Service by reception staff was adaquate but misleading and contradictory on occasions. Breakfast is basic and expensive at the full price or 10 euros.( We were offered a half price deal but even at 5 euros it wasn't good value). […] I agree with other reviewers that the beds are not that comfortable and the walls are indeed very thin and not at all soundproof. The decor is a little Ikea-like but every area of the hotel is exceptionally clean. However, my biggest gripe was the lack of natural daylight. Our room was on one side of a very narrow and high quadrangle and in order to know what the weather was like and therefore what to wear I had to consult the weather forecast on my ipad as I couldn't see the sky through the window! This gave the room a very claustrophobic feel and for this reason I personally would not return. Les mer

We were very pleased with our room especially the location.The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage after we checked out. The cost was very reasonable. We went out for breakfast so can't comment on the the quality or service but the lounge looked good.

It is located in the centred madrid, the room is not so big but tidy. However the wall is not sound prove, I can hear the door open and close from my neighbours every time.

We were there on the 1st stop of our honeymoon.. We had booked a junior suite and were not disappointed. Clean, comfortable with heating and hot water. Cleaning lady very nice. Near to metro and within walking distance to the centre. Only gripe is that they have no in room safe. All in all a good experience

After initial problem over disabled room allocation, the quality of service was outstanding. The buffet breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The hotel location was spot on, walking distance to all main sightseeing places and surrounded by local Tapas Bars. My husband and I would highly recommend this 3 Star hotel and hope to return.

I like the Medium Cortezo and have stayed there previously. The location is great and the price is very reasonable. However, I have some advice and that is ask for an inside room! When I say that I mean ask for a room that DOES NOT face the street! There is a nightclub below the hotel and the party goes on literally all night. Even with the windows […] closed, the noise was quite loud and it was impossible to sleep (for me anyway, my partner slept through most of it). People down on the street could be heard talking, laughing, shouting, singing, etc, and horns blowing, sirens. All of this went on nonstop until about 5 or 6 am when it finally got quiet. If you're a party person, thats great go on down and join the party! If you want to get some sleep, take my advice and request an inside room! I do like the Medium Cortezo. Both times I have stayed there the rooms were very nice and clean. However, the nightclub noise is unbearable and it could negatively impact your stay. Les mer

It was my first time in Madrid and I wasn't sure where to stay. I landed and had no hotel so I booked this in a hurry because of the price and free wifi. It turned out great! 5 minute walk from Puerta del Sol, and a nightclub next door. Very clean hotel and nice staff. This hotel is in walking distance to everything. It was quite adequate for a short stay and most essentially, clean. I could stay there again and even though the bed was not very comfortable, the staff was very gracious with our requests which made up for that discomfort.

All personnel were courteous and patient with us. They all spoke English, so they understood all of our questions and requests. This was a great location!!! Especially helpful with shuttle to the airport. If they had shuttle from the airport to the hotel, it would have been perfect.

I had an overnight stay in Madrid and selected this hotel based on price and location. It was about two blocks from Plaza del Sol - a quick walk. Though the actual block this was on was not the nicest in the area. There was a nighclub next door and noise was heard from my room though not enough to be an annoyance. The bath was not updated but not ancient […] either. Breakfast buffet was very good. Overall it was acceptable but if I had a longer stay I may look closer to the central area. Les mer

Good no frills hotel in a excellent location. Room was small, breakfast was great, and the hotel amenities did not make the hotel a place to enjoy leisure time. But it was comfortable, the staff was freindly, and it was in walking distance of most Old Madrid landmarks. Also, there was easy access to the Metro.

The shower is too small, but if you want to stay in a place that is close to Sol station and walking distance from Plaza Mayor, El Corte Ingles and some others touristic places... I checked out about 30 hotels on-line & was thrilled with my choice. It was a great central location near or walking distance to everything. The room was big, clean, quiet and comfortable. With a closet & tables, there was plenty of space to occupy. We also enjoyed the rooftop balcony. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The rooms were great, modern and just as pictured. Our room was quiet and overlooked an inner courtyard which was perfect because you had the opportunity for natural light or great dark curtains for siesta. While this hotel has some very strong strengths; location, cleanliness, helpful staff, it has the thinnest walls ever. Problematic because even if you have quiet neighbors (we did NOT) the property is adjacent to the stage of the neighboring theater, currently showing a raucous vaudeville review. This hotel is a perfect choice if you're looking for a place to stay right in downtown Madrid, but also somewhere affordable. The front desk staff was great and while small, the room had all that was needed for a great few days.

We choose this hotel because the location was good. The hotel was in an OK condition and the room was clean but it was impossible for us to be able to sleep!!! The room was like an OVEN! even with all the windows WIDE opened and the air conditioner on (which it was worse than a small fan and never manage to provide fresh cold air)...plus the matress […] are covered with a plastic layer which makes you sweat all night. It was a nightmare to spent the night at that hotel. I will NEVER go back again. Les mer

This hotel was very affordable and great for location. The staff was very helpful and made our visit pleasant. It is in walking distance of numerous restaurants and shops. It is not right near some of the tourist attractions ( ex: Prado) but you can catch the metro station near by to get where you need to go in the city.

This hotel was good value and is in an excellent location, 2 mins walk from the Plaza Mayor in the centre of Madrid. The Royal Palace is a 10 minute walk away and there are numerous restaurants in the area. A great hotel for couples wanting to sightsee in Madrid. I will definitly return there.

Fantastic location. Very modern, clean and comfortable for a city hotel in a city location. The room was quiet due to inside location so no view at all but this didn't matter to us. The breakfast was great value at 10 euros. Staff helpful. This hotel was fantastic value for money. We will certainly use this chain again in both Spain and France.

If you stay in this hotel, make sure to ask for a room on the opposite of the hotel away from their night club / theater. Otherwise it's extremely loud and you'll get no sleep whatsoever. However, this is hotel has a great location and is smack dab in the middle of downtown Madrid.

There is a club and a theater within the same building of this Hotel. The walls are not sound proof, therefore you can hear EVERYTHING! It is so loud you feel like you're in the theater. This went on all night till about 5am. They booked us in the wrong room on purpose right next to the club so they can buy themselves time to switch us to a quieter […] room. We spent two days transferring our belongings. The second room was just as loud. You can hear the elevator go up and down every time. The staff was helpful and polite but if you're looking for any kind of peace and quit in order to sleep this is not the hotel for you. Les mer

Practically everything that is interesting for a tourist visiting Madrid is within no more than 15 minutes walking distance, and so there is no need to take the metro subway at all. A short walk to Puerto de Sol, Placa Mayor, Placa Saint Ana and the Old Town, and no more than 10 to 15 minutes to the Big Three Museums. Restaurants are abundantly available […] all round the hotel. The hotel room is comfortable and reasonably spacious for a 3-star hotel, and very clean and neat. It was impossible to connect to the hotel wi-fi though, and the hotel computer is snail slow. We stayed here for five nights and were not disappointed. Puerto del Sol was two blocks away and Plaza Mayor about three. It was very clean and very convenient to restaurants and transportation. I would stay here again

Spent five nights here in August 2011. Location was the main influence on choosing it as our son has a room in a nearby appartment. Turned out to be a brilliant location as it was a short walk to every possible facility and all the central attractions of the city. Street was a bit grim and the hotel itself unspectacular but adequate, clean and friendly. […] Only drawback for us was lack of English language news channel on TV which was a bit frustrating.
