Store rene og flotte rom med god temperatur. Døgnåpen informasjonensdesk med veldig god service. God beliggenhet med gåavstand, samt taxi tilgjengelig til enhver tid. Lekker frokostbuffet! Spesielt godt fornøyd med lobby og barområdet hvor vi kunne samles et par timer på kvelden før vi gikk til hvert vårt rom!:):)

Hotellet lå svært sentralt, bare 150 meter fra Sheaperds Bush stasjonen, som ligger på Central line (den røde undergrunnen). Ved stasjonen ligger også Westfield, et stort, nytt handlesenter. Jeg hadde bestillt rom med to enkelsenger og da de ikke hadde det, fikk jeg oppgradering til et rom med kingsize seng. Rommet var stort og flott, nydelige badehåndklær og badekåper.

Vi er meget fornøyde, men synes at hotellrommet var for lite. Vanskelig å få varme på rommet når det var vind og litt kaldt ute. Vi kunne også tenkt oss en liten minibar på rommet. Ellers er alt til å anbefale. Har vært på dette hotellet før, og kommer garantert til å reise tilbake dit. I hvertfall hvis det går an å få til noen av mine ønsker.

Sør for London, ligger Gatwick flyplass med to internasjonale terminaler koblet sammen med en enskinnebane. Togene går ofte og regelmessig fra Gatwick stasjon i Sør-terminalen til sentrale London. Gatwick Express går hvert 15. minutt non-stop til London Victoria. Det blir ikke bedre enn dette når man må bruke et hotell nær flyplassen p.g.a tidlig fly etc. Billig, meget god standard til England å være og hyggelig behjelpelig betjening.
"Hotell ved Gatwick airport"
Hotellet ligger i kort avstand fra Gatwick flyplass og er et ypperlig hotell dersom du har en natt mellom flygningene. De har en buss som kjører 2 ganger i timen mellom hotellet og flyplassen fra 04.00 til 00.00 (den koster litt, men mye rimeligere enn alternativene). Personalet var hyggelig og smilende, sengene myke og gode og ellers reine og trivlige […] rom. Det var også mulig å få tak i mat 24 timer i døgnet, noe som er greit om man kommer seint eller reiser tidlig :) Alt i alt et fint opphold =) Les mer

Kom der kl 1500 og skulle reise neste morgen kl 0600. Spurte resepsjonen om shopping muligheter i området eller reise ned til London, men fikk bare en sur tilbakemelding om at nærmaste by var Crawley og London er motsatt vei med tog fra Gatwich. Sjokkerende lite hjelpsomme! Gikk derfor ut og spurte shuttlebuss sjåføren og fikk god hjelp der. Ellers […] så var hotellet greit, litt slitt men ok. Rent og pent ivertfall. Badet var sikkert 20 år gml, senga hard men ok. Men rommet var utrolig lytt. Naborommet hadde besøk av et annet par og hørte alt dei sa. Ganske kjipt når jeg hadde tidlig fly neste morgen. Men ca rundt midnatt gikk dei til ro. Derfor skal du ha god søvn er dette et dårlig valg. Men kommer nok aldri til å velge dette igjen, betaler heller littp ekstra for litt hyggligere betjening og søvn. Les mer

Vi var en familie på fire som kun trengte en natts overnatting i familierom. Vi ble møtt av et hyggelig og effektivt personale, rent rom med gode senger, trivelig betjening i baren og en meget god frokost! Anbefalles! Og prisen var rimelig!

Very tired hotel but cleanliness superb. However, the heat in the bedroom is dreadful even with the air conditioning full on. Because of that, I won't be staying again. Staff very good.

stayed for a family wedding and as you can expect with many people booking in early, with same surname and at same time generally chaotic - the staff Kate and Kat were very friendly and booked as many as they could as early as possible - the staff made the weekend a lovely event and food was lovely considering the mass catering. location great for popping […] into Torquay to walk off the heavy head on sunday morning. THE HOTEL ROOM WAS GOOD, EXCEPT THAT THE vENTILATION SYSTEM WAS FAR TO HOT , WHICH CAUSED MY WIFE TO BE TAKEN ILL IN THE NIGHT. Eventually we missed our flight .
the 1st day the receptionist tell me that made a phone to taxi to transferred from Gad wick . The taxi driver did not come ever.

I have stayed here a few times. Convenient for airport - shuttle bus used to be half hourly. Shortly before my last stay they changed it to share with other hotels and increase to 4 an hour - good initiative, but nobody changed the airport bus stop e signage and I stood for 40 minutes waiting for Best Western bus, and let the Holiday Inn bus (that they […] now share with) go past - so be careful when waiting at airport . If in doubt, pick up courtesy phone at bus stop to check! I complained to the hotel who just blamed the airport! I think actually the hotel should have checked with airport that the changes had been made! Les mer

Nice hotel. Very convenient to London Gatwick Airport via shuttle or taxi. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Made us feel welcome. Definitely will stay on future trips to the U.K.
"Average stay, let down by poor staffing"
Stayed at the hotel for an overnight stay before a morning flight to Barcelona. Hotel is very near Gatwick Airport with a reliable, frequent bus transfer service to both South and North Terminals, costing £3.50 each way. Check in was fairly quick and pleasant. Hotel looks tired, but is clean. Room was very small and tired with not a lot of room […] to manouvre, with luggage in the room. Hotel bar was very expensive, with an bar maid that took 20 mins to pour a shandy !!! Unbelievable! On checking out, there was no one at the desk, and after 20 mins of waiting, and the queue behind me growing bigger, someone finally emerged, but without apology etc. Would I stay here again? Only if it was very cheap - otherwise stay somewhere else. Les mer

Comfortable and clean but a little tired looking. Needs an update. Staff friendly and helpfull. Outlook was over the yard of a fire station and we just hoped it was not a busy station. Did notice a lot of flies outside our window. Not sure why they seem to find the area attractive. Food was appalling. Boil in the bag stuff. Started with steak, like […] trying to eat an old leather boot. Complaiined and they offered something else, decided on the chicken. Mistake. That had no taste to it at all. Gave up . Pleasant stay overnight as leaving from Gatwick Airport the next morning. Shuttle service is useful, only a few minutes to and from the airport at 3.50 pounds each way. It seems preferable to try and have the correct change as the driver didn't have much, not that this was an issue. Check in was quick and staff professional. Very nice stay. Room was clean and the evening meal was super. Close to Gatwick airport, but definitely too far to walk. Closer to the North terminal. Shuttle bus was every 30mins and was fast (5/6mins) and cost £3.50. Taxi quote was £9.00 from the airport. We will stay again at this nice *** star Hotel.

arrived late in the evening tired and weary and left early in the morning. So glad there were no issues I had to deal with as after a quick eat wanted to fall into bed. Internet access was for an hour but said to contact reception if more needed so unsure if further time means you would have to pay for .. worth checking if you would need more. H3 bus […] stopped at South then North termiinal then hotel. On the way back therefore stopped at South first. Seemed very quick and easy. Buses go at quarter to and quarter past and the bus waits outside arriving before that time at the hotel. Loads of luggage space. £3.50 per adult my 3 year old was free. Better than the £9 quoted taxi fare from the airport rank though if more than 3 of you paying its not. Could hear the lift mechanism and I was at the end of the corridor and lift in the middle but didnt notice after 30 mins of trying to sleep faded into the background. Very clean and staff really pleasant and gave my little one a toy plane. Automated wake up call. Toiletries in room and hairdryer. Would definately use again Les mer

Never have I had my CC charged inadvance for a room. No shuttle service to airport. Bus terrible taxi 6 pounds No hairdryer 60minute wireless then reregister worst airport hotel I have ever used.
The room was very small, as was the corridor leading to the room...It almost didn't fit our suitcases. The AC wasn't working so we opened the window which brought in a steady stream of fumes from the gas station just below our window. After having closed the window and returning to our room awhile later, it was as though we were sitting INSIDE the gas […] station. The only redeeming quality the hotel has is the breakfast. Les mer

The only negative thing was that it was difficult to find the location of the shuttle bus from the North Terminal (maybe because of renovations that were happening at the terminal, there were no signs). I arrived late at night (11:15) and spent almost 40 mins. trying to find where to get the bus. This is a property with small, dated rooms and tired public spaces, in a location that is not particularly convenient and is surrounded by parking lot, motorway and other charmless hotels. The shuttle from the airport comes every 30 minutes and costs 3.50 GBP per person each way, adding 14 GBP to the price of a double room.

"Convenient location for Gatwick Airport + VALUE"
If you need somewhere reasonably priced to stay at Gatwick Airport (5-10 mins away) look no further. The shuttle bus was convenient with regular departures and at a cost comparable to taxi service (for 2 people). The room was large and comfortable with all necessary amenities including a kettle, only lacking a fridge. Check-in and out were quick and […] friendly. My only qualms would be with the area, which has few options for dining. My wife and I walked for 25 mins and eventually found a chain pub (hot air balloon I think) who were unaccustomed to take out, plus the food was cold by the time we got back to our room. If I stayed there again I would probably just pay the inflated rates for room service. Some parts of the hotel have been updated but most of the design is old looking including the ugly architecture of the building itself. But really, at such a low price who cares. Les mer

We got into Gatwick late and needed a place to spend the night before continuing on to Cardiff. The Best Western Moat was the affordable hotel we could find near Gatwick with a reasonable rating. The hotel met our expectations. However, bring cash because transportation to and from the hotel is not complementary. Follow the signs to the hotel buses […] (not very clear). The trip costs about a few pounds each. My wife had placed our cash somewhere in the luggage, so I ended up negotiating with the driver. He would not take any Euros but, fortunately, he did take the 5£ note I found in my wallet. The return trip was about the same price. The hotel lists its location as being 1/2 mile from the airport. However, it is not within walking distance. It seems like it's more like 1-2miles away. The Hotel was larger than expected and cleaner and more up-to-date than the GW Hotels that I've stayed in in France. Spacious corridors, large lobby, and dinning room were all pleasant surprises. The room itself was small by US standards but average-large by European standards. Modern, clean, cheery but sparce is high I describe the decor. Good complementary Internet access and a chance to watch the London Marathon live on the telly were nice perks. I opted for the English breakfast buffet. It was significantly cheaper if purchased at registration than when purchase on site. Mediocre to average is my rating. The area is very suburban and green. It looked like a very safe neighborhood to walk around in. However, you have no alternatives to the hotel restaurant within walking distance. Overall, a very decent budget hotel for an airport stay. Much better than budget hotels near Atlanta--where I've spent too many nights-- and most hotels near comparable U.S. airports. Les mer

it is close to the airport which means that if you arrive late, you can take a taxi for 10 pounds. They advertise that there is a shuttle, but from what i can gather, it is pretty much a public bus. The hotel was fine, and the only thing I would complain about is that the "free wi-fi" has a 1 hour limit which is a joke. Also, there seems to be a fire […] station next door. It may only service the airport, i'm not sure. But the room we had was facing it directly, but there were not emergencies so I can't say how disruptive it may be. Les mer

On 11th of February we have stay in Best western hotel Gatwick...... I can say only few words and they will be enough ....... perfect location, normal prize, so friendly and helpful staff, I thing is renovated not log time ago, good heating inside....................JUST EXCELLENT HOTEL WHEN WE HAVE CONNECTION BETWEEN FLIGHTS.............. Perfectly adequate for overnight stay pre or post Gatwick flight. Has a small car park, tricky little devil to get in and out of, and I imagine difficult to get a space in high season, but fine for one night. Room and accomodation clean and comfortable. Would use again.
