We stayed in the hotel on a Saturday night and it sounded like there were people in the hall all night partying outside the door. We barely got any sleep because of the noise. We told the person at the front desk and they said they were sorry to hear we had an unpleasant stay but that was it. I would not go back to this hotel because you can hear e […] verything. Les mer
we booked a queen bed, the only rooms with queens left were wheel chair accessible. fron desk staff wanted to keep those free in case they needed it. so we got upgraded to a king!
"Best Western near Holland College"
In general, the room was satisfactory. The evening I was there, I was only able to get warm water from the bath. Also, the room was quite small. The breakfast was excellent considering it's continental. Overall rating would be good, decent, average, but not above average.

Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable - enjoyed our stay. There was one issue that should be adressed-that being the cleaning staff, at our door prior 8am to clean the room - Whats up with that- I thought cleaning staff should get direction, from front lobby desk-(that is to say, as you check out,cleaning staff then come in) - In any event I was up […] and out of bed,before I wanted to be.(Cleaning staff should be reminded, that check out is 11AM-NOT 0745 Hrs. "Close to downtown"
Great location for walking around downtown, alot of restaurants near-by and of course they recommended a great lobster restaurant. We found the room clean & affordable especially since we were just there to sleep. Personally, I didn't like the bedspreads lol. You know the kind that falls off the bed because it is slippery? "Do Not Bother with this hotel!"
I chose this hotel through the website and booked a non-refundable room -Big Mistake! The hotel room that we were assigned was disgusting and that is being kind. The room hasn't been updated since the room was originally built (Maybe 1960's) - it was moldy and smelled. The bathroom was so small that two people wouldn't be able to use it and the toilet […] ran and wouldn't shut off. I walked into the room and walked out and found a different hotel to stay in. "Charlottetown Best western"
although centrally located and pleasant, I found the hotel overpriced for the comfort of the room. I had troubled with the WiFi (advertised as one of the features), and the staff recommended I call the provider- could not care less. Finally, on top of the price, they asked for 50 canadian dollars deposit "in case of damage to the room". "cleaning staff from hell"
I stayed for 4 days at this hotel. I am of mixed oppinions about my stay. The first 2 days of our stay were among some of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I travel regularly and have a pretty good idea of what the norm should be. However, it just seemed like everything was going wrong during this trip. on the negative: 1) My daughter found an […] earwig in the bed which made for a most exciting start to the trip 2) the hotel staff gave our room to another person; which meant that at midnight, a couple tried to get us out of their room. The kids and I had been asleep for a few hours so this was a rather unpleasant activity. I talked with the night management and was assured that all had been resolved. 3) We attempted to get a little extra sleep the 2nd day as it took until 2am to get the kids to go back to sleep because of the strangers who walked into our room at midnight. The cleaning staff starts at 7am and knocks on your door even if you have a "do not disturb" card on the door. They were told to go away at 8, than came back and knocked at 10 and came in to the room even when a do not disturb sign was posted (a second time); I spoke with the front staff on the phone and was told that they would deal with this. Even though I recieved this assurance, The cleaning staff knocked and entered our room for a 3rd time at 11:30am. So essentially the day was shot because we couldn't get any sleep and had tired and cranky kids. 4) the floors and walls seemed extremely thin. We constantly heard people moving around. The cleaning staff banged the doors many many times in the morning as they worked on a room. Since they start early, this was even less desirable a feature. We observed them and found that they don't leave the room door open while they are in the room but feel the need to go in and out slamming the door. 5) The 2nd day we got locked out of our room and the reservation was no longer set for 3 nights but 1. "Best Western Charlottetown"
Great value. A bit of a walk into the main part of Charlottetown. The room was a tad small however, the huge flat screen TV made up for it.

Location is good, very close to historic sites. But actually Charlottetown is very small. If you have a car, it's not necessay to live in the city center. Resteraunts are expensitve. The room is very small even though it is furnitured mordenly. The complementary breakfast is not very good, no ham, sausage, or bacon, only bread, muffin, and cereal.

"pushy service"
the hotel itself was actually really good: the room was spacious and set up well. the issue i had was the staff, who i felt to be very pushy and who's only concern was getting me out. the room was late being available, and i was woken up before 8am by housekeeping on the day of my check out.

"generally positive but..."
very difficult to bring our bikes into the room because it was down the stairs and through a series of doors. The elevators were around a few corners and down some hall ways. The room was in the "basement" and had that "damp" feeling and smell. The room did have a dehumidifier but... The location was great. The staff were excellent.

We paid quite a high rate, and after arrival realized that the roof was under major work. Reception was very accommodating in selecting a room where this noise cannot be heard too much. We got a room accross the street, which served this purpose, although some overflow (Trucks etc) was noticeable from the major work going on. The pool was heated but […] very cold, did not use it, although this was one major reason for selecting this hotel. We got a fridge for 10 dollars a nihgt. Rooms accross the street are much bigger and bette than in the mean building. The location is good, close to downton, but nothing special. Very nice room, very clean. The beds were heaven, the staff were very helpful and friendly. A bit overpriced. Breakfast was good.

Even though this hotel is in the perfect location, I would not stay here again. There was black mold on the tile in the bathroom that had definitely accumalated over time. In addition, the bathroom sink did not drain The room smelled moldy as we walked in. The air conditioner did not work properly. Out towels never dried over the 3 days we stayed there, […] and were not replaced. They did clean the mold after we complained as well as the sink the next day . This hotel needs some TLC!! Les mer

Our room was located below the lobby floor and was at the very end of a hallway. Although is had a small window, I felt like I was in a dungeon. We felt totally ripped off since the room rate was very high for the quality of the hotel/room.

Very close to downtown - walking distance. Great restaurants - boardwalk on the water with free entertainment - cute sidewalk cafe's and shops. The restaurant at this hotel was wonderful. Breakfast good. Great deal and location.

Good location. Right distance from downtown or harbor, about 10 min walk. Free parking lot. Free wired internet Small swimming pool, but nobody else than us were using it! No fridge or microwave in the room: intensive use of the ice machine to keep kid collation cool. Very quite People at the restaurant were very nice to accomodate meal for young kids. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of any downtown location. The rooms are clean and satisfactorily appointed with what you expect from hotels of this calibre - queen beds, table & chairs, dresser, large flat screen TV. My one complaint is I have stayed here three times in a year and have never been able to get on the wired internet […] - no wi-fi and no intention of getting it, I am told. "Convenient to the town!"
We were quite satisfied with the room except for one night of loud kids. Other than this, the room was clean and the hotel location was within walking distance to most of the festivities. All in all, we will book with them next year!

Nous avons eu une chambre qui sentait l'humidité. Cela puait en plus les chiens étaient admis... Pas très propre. Après m'être plainte ils nous ont changé de chambre c'était un peu mieux, mais notre idée était déjà faite. Désolée, mais je ne recommanderais pas cet hôtel. Il faudrait enlever les tapis qui puent, nettoyer les rideaux et ne plus accepter […] de chiens ou d'animaux. Les mer

"Trés déçu pour un 3 étoiles"
Trés lugubre, les couloirs sentaient le tapis, piscine pas interessante , d'ailleurs les nefants ne veulent pas se baigner dedans. Chambre trés étroite avec des vieux meubles trés démodés. Plus : situé au centre ville prés de tout.
