Room was dated but clean. I was in St. Paul for a couple of nights to attend a conference. I did not want or need a large room so was satisfied with the small area. The price was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I will stay again the next time I travel to St. Paul.

Room was VERY small... Nice sitting bench by window... Let us check in early... mainly quiet, but we were close to the front area so some of the outside noise came in under door... other than that, pretty good stay

Room was small withTV on top of closet/cabinet, very difficult to view, limited seating. Had to lay on bed to watch to avoid neck problems.

the hotel staff were super friendly and helpful but the room was cramped, the bed linens scratchy, and the temperature was difficult to manage. I wouldn't stay again. I've stayed in Microtels before but this was by far the most run down.

You can't beat the value of this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room wasn't huge, but big enough for the three of us with all our luggage and shopping bags. The breakfast was adequate to get going in the morning, but no real sitting area to eat. It does save you from driving somewhere else though and free parking compared to paying extra downtown. […] Not a far drive from the Xcel centre or the Mall of America. Sam's Club is right beside it. It was great but the lighting in the room was weak and low wattage. Tough to work for long periods of time. TV not placed conveniently for viewing except from the bed.

*the heat was all or nothing. if you request a crib (they are pack n plays) bring your own fitted sheet because they don't have any and the pack n play "mattress" part was gross. other than that, it was ok.

A little more salt or sand on the main driveway/entrance would have been nice. However the staff were very accomodating and the room was fine.

I had a very pleasent experiance at this hotel. It met my expectations and i would defenitely stay there again. If you are looking for an economic place to stay, this is defenitely a great choice. The staff was nice and helpful and the conditions of the hotel and rooms were according to the price!!

Third time there for a Winter Carnival visit. Every aspect of the stay was great. Really like having the workout room. We want to give kudos to the overnight desk who was working Wednesday night January 30th. There was a small incident in the back parking lot involving some suspicious activity. A vehicle parked next to ours had 5 people in it who kept […] getting in and out of their vehicle and we were concerned about our car. The desk clerk went to the back door to check things out and apparently decided it was better to have the Eagan police come by and check them out. The police resolved the situation so we wanted to thank that person for the followup. Les mer

The stay was great. Very Peaceful. Staff was great. Housekeepers were very helpful and went above duties to assist us. The FREE breakfast was PLENTIFUL and FRESH! Enjoyed my stay. Only complaint was the heat. A bit dry. We improvised and had a wonderful stay. Price was great and they let us check in early too!

This hotel is the worst i have ever stayed in. We got there around 11.30pm and checked in went to the room and the smell although pleasent was so strong that we could bearly breathe. Then not even ten minutes after getting into the room we get a call from a very rude hotel staff member saying we where to load even though we were talking at a normal […] tone also the cable service was so hard to get working it was basically unusable. they have two remotes to control tv and the cable box but the cable box wont work because the tv and box are sitting up so high that it cant see the signal. overall this hotel was dirty the staff was very rude and just getting into the place was a nightmare. If i was you and plan on staying in the area stay away from this hotel at all cost! Les mer

Room was very basic, no refrigerator, microwave, only 1 chair to sit on. lights burnt out. It was clean and quiet but absolutely no frills.

When I arrived to Microtel Eagan the Desk Clerk was very friendly. The Lobby ,hallways and my room were immaculate. The price was right! The breakfast was ample for my needs. I have stayed here before and will continue to do so when I visit the Twin-cities area.

We arrived early & asked if we could check in now...They said of course...Gave us a room but it wasnt cleaned yet...with no argument they gave us another within seconds!...this is my very favorite Hotel ever!!!!

This is a comfortable place to sleep. The rooms are very small but I did not need more than what I had. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Very reasonably priced. Breakfast included. I will stay again.

From the pictures it seemed like a very well kept hotel. However, it was outdated and seemed a bit dirty here and there. However, I couldn't beat the price.

Small, but cozy/comfortable rooms. Pretty clean and kept up. No flat screen TV's, but that doesn't necessarily affect the room itself. Could be a little updated, but over all a great place to stay for a great price!

Exercise equipment key was missing, so were unable to use the treadmill. As we were in the Cities to visit family and needed only a place to sleep, we were pleased with the price.

The building was maintained and new enough that I felt comfortable there. The room was quite clean. I did not use any of the hotel services but the staff was quite friendly. My room included an iron and ironing board, safe, toiletries, and hair dryer. There was a very small writing surface which was adequate for my needs but could be cramped if you […] are trying to work with books or multiple documents, etc. my biggest complaint was that the chair was uncomfortable - the back did not support enough. As I was there for 3 days on a business trip, I spent a lot of time working in that chair and was not amused. The location was convenient to the university. I did not explore if there were many restaurants in the area because I simply had food delivered. I would definitely stay here again if in the area but I might hesitate if I knew I would be working in the room much. Les mer

Microtels are my new favorite place to stay- all the amenities for much less money. I asked for an accessible room and am pleased to say that I finally found a place to stay that understands grab bars in the bath room. Good coffee 24/7 in the lobby!
