BEST WESTERN CRYSTAL PALACE IN - Bakersfield

This Best Western is one of the nicest I have stayed in so far, very nice rooms, great view of the gorgeous garden!

Fine except our GPS would insist on bringing us to the wrong junction,forcing us to turn left & detour ablock or so. I guess that was the GPS fault. A very nice breakfast .. Thank you.

During my stay, I felt right at home. The room was clean and I really liked being able to go outside on the balcony area over looking the pool. It was a great place to have my morning cup of coffee!

Great stay, awesome complimentary Breakfast. Hotel employees the greatest. Close too the race track.

Ground floor rooms facing the parking lot and the tile walkway and stairs near the pool are noisy. Get a room on an upper floor or directly facing the pool area. Beautiful landscaping near the pool!

This motel was clean and comfortable for my one night stay in downtown Bakersfield. I was impressed with the friendly service and the fresh cooked complimentary breakfast in the morning. I intend on going back on my next visit.

When we checked in our room door was open and security had to come check it out for us. The refrugerator did noy work, the sheets gave me a rash on my neck, there was a huge spider living in the bathroom and a moth is the sleeping area. The room wasn't great, but then again you get what you pay for.

Review your bill at check-out. There was a fee for use of the in-room safe whether or not it was actually used. The walkway outside our door was sticky upon our arrival and it was never cleaned while we were there. Room and bathroom could have been cleaner.

We stayed here overnight in July of 2011. The grounds and pool/spa area are beautiful. The pool is large, there is a separate spa, a lighted gazebo with benches. The grounds have plenty of trees, bbq area, etc. I liked how many of the rooms had sliding doors facing the pool, making easy access to the pool/spa area. The rooms were spacious and clean. […] My main concern was the fact we were placed in a room near the end that had an ice machine just outside the sliding door. We stayed on a Friday night...so about every hour on the hour I was awakened by someone getting ice from that machine. I have a sneaking suspician that rooms like that are saved for those who like to get internet deals online. Otherwise the free breakfast at the restaurant was decent. I would stay here again, but only after I checked out the area around my room to be sure the ice machine was well away from it. Les mer

I was in town for the drag races. The hotel is very conveniently located off the 99 fwy. A few feet away is a gas station with great prices and very convenient store. The gal at the front desk/check-in was very nice and quite helpful. The room I stayed in is located right off the lobby, but it was still quiet. There is a door that separates the lobby […] from the rooms. I needed to use a microwave and they had one outside next to the pool area. (Although it was night time when I checked in, the pool and jacuzzi area looked quite inviting the way they have it decorated) There are a couple of soda machines and ice there too. The room was very clean, very comfortable, as was the bed. The lights on one side kept going out or flickering. Maybe a short circuit or something. There are no visible outlets in the room for a person's laptop. You have to unplug a lamp or the tv. The free internet was easy to connect to. There was a handy cold refrigerator. A coffee machine and supplies were there also but I did not use them. Bathroom was clean and fine. Plenty of fluffy plush towels. The hair dryer on the wall was excellent. There is a Denny's across the street, an IHOP around the corner. They gave me coupons for a free breakfast at the adjoining restaurant. That was good. You could choose from pancakes and bacon/sausage or 3 eggs and toast or oatmeal or fruit. Coffee was also included. I think I will probably be back to this hotel next time I visit Bako! Les mer

Shower drain clogged. Air conditioner not functioning properly. Frig not functioning well. All electrical plugs so loose that cords would not stay in to properly charge items.

We've been coming to the Crystal Palace for many years and have found the hotel to be friendly, clean, a beautiful pool and a well maintained oasis of a garden area. An added plus is having a wonderful full breakfast in the morning. They don't skimp, great bacon & sausage with eggs, hash browns & toast. They have even added an omelette to the menu. […] We'll be back, that's for sure. Les mer

Much improved since our last visit. Believe it must have been remodeled with new fixtures, etc. The flat screen TV was great, a bit to small, but better than the one in Santa Maria Inn. Everything was great, loved the new towels, but the pillows need work.

Habitaciones enormes, cama muy cómoda, instalaciones excelentes y buen desayuno. Nos llevamos una grata sorpresa con este hotel. Muy buena relación calidad precio. Recomendamos cenar en el pub Crystal Palace que hay al lado con actuaciones de música country en directo.
