I would definitely book this hotel again. Beds were super comfy, service excellent and quality of food great.

Very good hotel. well equipped rooms and hotel facilities. I did not have dinner in the restaurant but was very satified with the food available in the bar.

Stayed at the hotel for one night leisure break on a Saturday. We needed to leave early on the Sunday and the hotel staff allowed us to have breakfast half an hour earlier than the allotted time. All facilities were new and good quality. Only criticism would be that the pool had a disability group in at the time we chose to go which was not clearly […] advertised so the pool was too busy to swim lengths but this did not spoil our trip. Stay was fine but I expected to be able to recieve a VAT invoice and assumed the rate included VAT which my business could recover. It turned out this was not the case so this has cost me 20% more than expected - this needs to be clear on your web site!

We used the hotel as a base whilst visiting friends so didn't have time to use the facilities ... but the pool looked great. We upgraded to a 'V' room - well worth the £20 a night extra given it was a guaranteed quiet room and we were there during the height of Christmas parties / celebrations. Very poor attention from front desk: failing to deliver messages left with them (we were there for the death and funeral of our daughter so messages were very important to us). Very unresponsive, chatting more with each other and ignoring us while we waited for someone to give us some answers. We were there 8 days

The most peaceful hotel in the area, even with a Tribute Night and a Wedding downstairs it was quiet in the rooms. A wide range of choice in the restaurant, very friendly staff throughout the hotel a most relaxing and enjoyable stay.

everything was very good except the service at breakfast. there was no milk for the beverages so you waited - a lengthy time , moved onto toaster - no plates waited a lengthy time , moved to buffet no plates again - waited a lengthy time, then there was no sausage etc. No coordination or urgency.

Great facilities at this hotel are spoiled by disinterested staff. The reception desk was unmanned for ten minutes during peak check-out time on Sunday, the room key card didn't work and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table for Sunday morning breakfast. Staff don't apologise when issues are raised with them and there was no management presence. Not to the usual De Vere standards I am afraid. The room carpet was not clean, the light switch cover fell off exposing the insides and one of the soap dispensers in the bathroom did not work. I will seek out the Village hotels but give this one a miss going forward

This a a fairly good quality hotel, we stayed one night, the room was clean and not showing much sign of wear. The breakfast was good with a good choice but some items were only luke warm.the problem was we were very tired but were unable tip sleep as there was a wedding dance in the hotel which was pretty loud and finished at 1 am.

The hotel was unable to provide any type of food, not even a sandwich at 9.55pm. Not good enough these days. The staff were embarassed by this situation. We had just completed a long journey and were unable to get anything to eat. The bar staff were very dissinterested in their work but the reception staff were good but hampered by total inflexability. […] The whole hotel has a very down market feel and was very poor value for money in comparison to other chains that are readily available. I didn't rate the hotel because when we arrived they hadn't made the room up ,there wasn't the second children's bed made up or any towels for the children , the bathroom had no soap or any evidence of the bathroom been cleaned no paper over the toilet seat and no toiletries , the evening meal that we ordered took 45 minutes between coarses and had […] to be sent back as food was cold , they did send it back out again perfect , but I've never eaten a Eton mess dessert made with dream topping before , which at that point too tired to complain , and then the next morning the bacon was raw and when spoke to the restaurant manager he made the excuse of they have to cater for everybody,s tastes , I will never stay with your hotel chain again , and will be putting my review on trip advisor , as that hotel is completely unorganised and in my opinion a expensive waste of money Les mer

Lovely food. The staff in the restaurant, though it was a quiet Sunday evening, required me to prompt them to serve me. This was the downside. The food was fantastic, room very comfortable.

Brilliant hotel. Up to the standard for De Vere- ie all the carpets/walls etc exactly the same as all other De Vere Village Hotels. Nice pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym. Breakfast lovely. Room clean, luxuriously appointed. Nice mattress. Free wifi which seemed quick. Bathroom, lots of nice touches - de-misting area on the mirror anyone ? All […] the staff seemed happy and were very efficient. What more could you want ? Two minor issues: No pen and pad in the room - tut tut. The flat screen TV integrated into a wall cabinet a la premier league footballer - The sound was rubbish - very muffled and the picture was rubbish - it was standard def and Match of the Day was a splodge of colours. Good hotel with decent facilities in sauna, pool, etc. Stayed over Xmas for 13 nights and enjoyed the whole experience - Xmas lunch good if a little over-priced. The bar serves very good food at a reasonable price for a hotel. The other plus points would be the free WiFi internet and good parking. The one BIG gripe is paying £1.00 delivery" charge per […] day for the newspaper, even if collected from the front desk. i love staying at this hotel and have stayed here many times. sadly on 2 occasions this year the food has been poor, very poor. we had our works christmas party night and the food was dreadful, as a chef i understand catering for large numbers can be challenging but there is no excuse for serving soup was like dishwater. the main meal wasnt much better. […] i also stayed new year and that was just as bad. lovely hotel sack the chef!!! Overall good but hen party two rooms away were very noisy up and down corridor til 4am. Breakfast could be better organised as we had to queue for a table when there were clearly free tables available that just needed emptying.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel whilst visiting relatives. We took the Train and the hotel was a 10 min walk from station. The hotel was great, clean, comfortable, great food and lovely staff. I stayed ther mainly for the convenience of being close to the town and only 20 minutes from the Halliwell Jones stadium, I was going to the Rugby League Cup semi- final. a really nice hotel, plenty of parking space, a very good breakfast and if you don't wish to eat in the hotel there is a vey good pub 5mis walk away, I would stay there again.

A good clean hotel with a very good leisure club. The food was very expensive and the appearance of the hotel was very dark because all the walls in both public and private rooms are painted a dirty brown/grey.

I booked this hotel both for convenient location and it's indoor pool for the kids. It ticked all the boxes in terms of size of room, and quality furnishings. We were allocated a disabled room as these obviously have more room to accomodate my two children. The only down side to this was the lack of a bath in the bathroom. The shower was great though. […] We didn't ask to be moved to any other room with a bath so can't advise if all family facilities have bath's ensuite. The pool area was clean and the water was nice and warm. Kids's hours are limited so check before you go down for a swim. Breakfast was buffet style, plentiful and hot. The cooked breakfast selection was limited in choice but there was plenty to fill your plate. Cereal, fruit and toast was also available. We would definitely stay here again if we repeated our weekend in the Manchester area. It's only 20 minute drive to the Trafford Centre from this hotel. Les mer

Staff friendly and welcoming. Our room was little on dark side, small windows and the bright sunshine outside made both our room & the hotel seem quite gloomy. Bedroom however was clean and comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. I would recommend the 'throw' - a khaki coloured blanket which was badly 'pilled' - should be thrown away as it had […] definitely seen better days. Some furnishings also looked a little tired i.e. table tops in dining room. I've stayed at Village Cardiff in the past which I think on balance is a more attractive hotel than the Village Warrington. The man who checked me in was really helpful and answered my questions. Lady in gym at 6.30am was very cheerful and made me feel welcome.

Excellent stay with great Fitness Club in the morning + breakfast. Nice rooms but heating is no good - all done by the A/C. A/C is no good to heat and dryes the air by removing humidity from the air; electric heater is much better, water/oil heater even better.

The Village room was very quiet and the beds are really comfy. However, a few touches would make the stay better, simply putting some hooks in the bathroom and an extra towel rail would have made our stay much better. Generally unfriendly attitude from reception staff (two different shifts). No bath in the room - shower only. Stayed for four nights in Jan/Feb. Gym and swimming pool main attraction. Relly nice pool and well-equipped gym. Liked iPod dock in room and the food is variable - go for Grill if you can afford as food quality very good - pub is OK for watching SS News but food not great. Service overall is good with free onsite parking.

The Village staff could be more courteous - it seemed to us they were playing good cop-bad cop every time someone was nice to us the person next to them on the desk was horrid. A few minor things like putting tissues in the room or a hook on the back of the bathroom door, a few drawers would help - no shampoo or conditioner - considering the Village […] advertises itself as an upmarket hotel it is sadly lacking in some basic amenities. My plane landed early in the morning on a Sunday, and it was about 10:30am when I got to the hotel. At first they told me that I couldn't check in until 3pm, but I was welcome to leave my luggage and wander around the town center until 3. I told them the website mentions early check in at noon on weekends, and then I was told that for a fee I could […] check in early. Well worth the money after traveling for 15 hours. I paid it and got my room immediately. The room was clean. The color scheme made it a bit dark, but that isn't much of an issue. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions about places to see and shop. The pub and the Verve restaurant had good food, but the restaurant was a little expensive. I did not try the Vibe cafe. I did go across the street to the Waterside. They also had good food that was a bit cheaper. Breakfast was included with my room. You have to go early if you want the good stuff, though. The pastries and fruit run out fast. The train station was walking distance from the hotel. The town center is also close by. There are lots of places to eat in the town center, but I mainly ate at the hotel. All in all, it was a good trip, and I plan to stay at the same hotel when I go back in April. Les mer
