Best!

I travel to Eureka every year from New Hampshire to see my mother and always stay at the Holiday Inn near the Airport. With gas prices so high, I decided to try the Best Western and was happy I did. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, I even asked the hotel clerk for the name of the mattress manufacturer. The room had a fireplace, […] large flat screen tv, plus all the other ammenities you expect in a nice hotel, and the location was perfect. I hope Best Western Hotels are as nice in other cities because that's where I'll be staying from now on. Les mer

Great price with great service and a pool to soak in. What else can you ask for on a road trip from Seattle to San Francisco? We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone that asked.

We enjoyed our stay at he motel, nicely done. Do not eat at Marie Callendars, dirty . The room was nicely decorated and clean a little on the small side for 2 queens. The balcony (?) was ridiculous, 3 inches deep maybe.I guess it allowed us some open air with the slider. The Hot tub needed better filtering or a cleaning, kind of filmy. The pool was […] fine. I recently booked a job fair held in their conference room and also stayed at the hotel. My packages did not arrive on time. The hotel went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. I travel a lot for work and this is one of the best hotels with regard to staff and breakfast I have come across.

What a great hotel! Exterior is very nice and elegant looking. This hotel has most comfortable bed i've ever slept in any hotels i've stayed. No bed bugs (we checked) Continental breakfast was awesome! Coffee's not too bad. Indoor/outdoor Swimming pool is a plus even if it's chilly outside you get to enjoy it. Just bundle up as soon as you are out of […] the pool. The room seems dark. (they are using Incandecent light bulbs.) Mini fridge and microwave in the room. I like that! Staff is very nice- although, I almost got charged for pet fee. When we checked-in, there was a family in front of us who brought their pet and registered the pet, the lady at the front desk put the other person's paperwork on ours. What an almost disaster at check-out. The staff won't take it out of our account until he showed me the pet form. Good thing our signature was not even close to being the same. So, we found out we were put on a room that allows pet. Not cool. Eventhough, It was a very clean and no trace of pet odor at all. Location is very convenient. Walking distance to Marie Callender's (they give discount for staying at this hotel), shopping mall, Ray's Food Store, bait shop and the bay. It only takes about 8 mins to downtown. (Not a bad drive!) Close to 101 but you won't hear the hwy traffic. Overall it's an excellent stay. Les mer

Excellent staff - very helpful and interested in providing us with great service. The rooms were very comfortable & clean. Our only disappointment was in trying to eat dinner at the Marie Callender's restaurant.

I happened to arrive earlier than the check in time. I had called to see if the room was available. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They did advise that since that it was ready I was able to check in early. I stayed in the King Non Smoking Room with a Garden View. It was very comfortable and very quiet. Nice touch! Great breakfast! Lovely lady at check in. Super clean. Not quite central downtown but really easy drive.

I was excited to attend my daughters wedding in Eureka, and based on reviews, chose the BW Plus Bayshore Inn. The staff was very nice and friendly on our arrival with the hotel looking pretty nice and in good shape overall. The issue was our room and the housekeeping concerns. The room seemed damp and had a funny smell. We found the shower was missing […] a shower curtain and bath mat, which was replaced quickly when we called. We made some coffee using the in-room service, but they seemed to have forgotten to service the coffee maker and provide clean cups when the cleaned the room. We also found that when they made-up the beds, they just reused the linenes, which I don't mind, but they failed to notice the tissues and other papers on the bed that they just covered-up with the sheets and quilt. They also failed to restock the soap and shampoo when they cleaned the room. When we brought this to the managements attention, they were quick to supply the needed items and were apologetic. Just wish that they would deal with this issues and not require a customer to have to complain or bring it to their attention. Les mer

Went to Eureka for a family function. This had one of the lowest rates, but I really think we underpaid! This place was so nice! Right off US 101, reception area was very open and inviting, rooms are easy to get to, spacious, VERY comfy beds. Also a separate "garden view" area with a hot tub, koi pond, with view of Humboldt Bay. The continental breakfast […] had lots of choices, fresh foods. Across from Bayshore Mall, and a grocery story across the street in case you get munchies. I would DEFINITELY stay here again - and I don't say things like that often! Les mer

It is a major disappointment after a 5 hour drive to arrive at your hotel and the room is not ready. After waiting and finally gaining access to our room I sat on the coach and noticed that I was surrounded by hair and black tar-like material matted to the sofa cushions. It was a major turnoff. The hotel is conveniently located not far from Highway 101 and easy to find once you hit Eureka. I gave the surroundings only a 3 just because Eureka is a somewhat dreary town, but we did choose the location. The staff was super! Very friendly, professional and accommodating. The room was very clean, however it had a strong odor of whatever disinfectant […] or product they used. Smelled like a hospital. In fact, the odor was still on my luggage when I got back home. The room was very clean however so no real gripes there. The beds were very comfortable, the pilows WAAAY to fluffy. I know I'm being really nit-picky here. Who complains about fluffy pillows? But If you need a flatter pillow like me, so your neck is not at a sharp angle, bring your own. The inside of the room was very dated with floral borders and burgandy and pick decor It needed updating. The bathroom sink had a nice granite counter however and the room had it's own microwave. We had a view of the garden and coy pond. It was absolutely beautiful. You could tell that a lot heart went into designing that garden. Breakfast which is complimentary was great. Hot too. Overall, if you have to stay in Eureka, not a bad place to stay. It was sufficient and we were satisfied. Les mer

Very well appointed facility overall. Room was large (king), furniture and decor more upscale, bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast offered variety of choices & there's a Marie Callendar in parking lot for those who want more options. Staff very friendly, offered excellent reco for restaurant in "old town" Eureka - about 5 min drive. A shopping center […] is next door w/market and stores. Hotel is on south side of town, on Hwy 101, but rooms are quiet. Definitely recommend. Les mer

The location was in a commercial area , near the highway, so it was convenient for stopping for the night, but not the best location to see Eureka itself. There was the beginning of construction of what Best Western staff was their new restaurant ( to the rear of the location), but it seemed to be in the only spot that actually had a non-industrial […] view of the water. The rest of the view was obscured by a large warehouse/storage building. The room itself was very nice and very comfortable. Hot tub area and landscaping was very nice. The housekeeping staff started a bit early in the morning and was pretty noisy with carts rolling . Breakfast was basic, with TVs on in the breakfast rooms. we traveled with our two teenagers and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful view! Worth the extra price to stay directly on the beach! Great service and good room service!

If you have to stay at hotel in Eureka and not Arcata, this is the best place compared to all the others. Clean, friendly and pretty !

This hotel offers very clean, standard size rooms with comfortable beds, a microwave and a small fridge in each room. Late in the evening on a weekday, the parking lot was full, so it looks like the hotel is very popular.The pool and spa were clean. One half of the pool is indoor, and the other half is outdoor (pool hours 9am-9pm). There were no pool […] towels available when we got to the pool in the morning, although we saw the bin for "used pool towels"-I guess they do exist. The breakfast was decent, but by 9 am they run out of hash browns-my son, who is allergic to dairy and eggs, was disappoined as he had a very limited choice of food (breakfast time 6-11 am, btw). There is a Mary Callender's restaurant next door, and you get 10% off your bill if you stay at this hotel. We booked a room with two queen beds and a fireplace. The electric fireplace did not work-the maintenance guy came right away, but was not able to fix the issue. He promised a reduced room rate for this inconvenience (I have not checked yet if they really did it). Our overall impression from the hotel was good, and I'd recommend it. Les mer

This is the 2nd time staying at this hotel. Staff is beyond accomodating. Rooms are nice. Beds are cozy. Pool is heated and clean. Hot tub is wonderful, and the breakfast is free! What more could a person ask for. This hotel is listed with 3 stars, however it deserves 4 stars without a doubt.

Hotel room and check in reception staff was excellent. Picked this over another Eureka Hotel because of the included breakfast. Hotel was full, breakfast food was empty or near empty on 2 attempts; seating was totally full... way too small for size of hotel and only one staff person refreshing. Ended up at McDonalds next door for breakfast.

We stay at a lot of hotels and this one was very nice for the price and even had a fireplace and small view of the bay!

We were so delighted to be helped by such a friendly staff. The room was clean and the bed was the most comfortable that we have ever slept in. The pool was comfortably warm even though the outside air was 60 degrees. Homemade cookies in the lobby were a homey touch and the free full breakfast buffet was a treat! great rooms in the back facing the water. Bkfst only so-so. Exercise room small but ok. Some panhandling in the area-rest of area also. Still, very comfortable and worth it.

This was a great hotel, I highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were a couple of instances where outside noise from other guests were an anoyance, but over all we were satisfied with the hotel. The best qualifty of the hotel was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff!

Very nice motel in convenient location in Eureka. Pet friendly for only $20. Breakfast was very good with choices of hot items.

This was the first time we stayed at a best western and was very disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the room, there was a bag of trash left on the sink and there was someone's food left in the refrigerator not to mention the sheets looked dingy ...will not stay there ever again.

A bit pricey but a lovely hotel. Handy to the highway. Beautiful gardens.

Enjoyed our stay very much with the welcoming employees and cozy room. The jetted tub and fire place was a plus as well. They do give mitary discounts which is much appreciated! :)

Excellent hotel with new wing for adults only. Online booking through hotels.com resulted in great pricing. The breakfast was excellent and the front desk staff were very accomodating.
