Artemide Hotel - Roma

Artemide is a small, clean and conveniently-located hotel, close to the Metro stop and within walking distance of the colloseum, Spanish steps, good shopping and small restaurants. Our room was extremely small, but we knew that when we booked a standard room. Friendly staff.

Great find in Rome. We wanted to stay longer just because the hotel was so easy and great. The price was a steal, free wii, minifridge with beer and snacks that were refilled daily....lots of extras that made the stay. Breakfast was free and a great selection. The location was convenient, easy walk from the train station and accessible/walking distance […] or a quick cab/metro to anywhere you need to be. Highly recommend. Les mer

Very nice hotel, comfortable room and bed with large bathroom. Nice view from the rooftop terrace. the welcome drink was a nice touch. Would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed at the Artemide for a four night stay in Rome after a cruise. The check in was very efficient and they upgraded our room to the next level and gave us a 50% discount on dinner in their roof resturant. Breakfast was included with the room and it was very good with a wide range of options. The room was very spacious and comfortable […] especially the bed. We were located in the front of the hotel so that we did have a lot of street noise, and I would chose the rear of the hotel next time. The location of the hotel is perfect for site seeing and access to public transportation. The roof resturant is interesting outsie on the roof but the interior dining room is too bright and stark. The food was so so but the service was good. At the end of the day I would recommenbd this hotel and would stay there again Les mer

Perfect hotel for our family - we have an 11 and 9 year old year. They loved having their own space and their own beds. The room is small compared to US standards but it does not feel small. The free wifi and mini-bar are a huge plus! Breakfast buffet was very good! We would definitely stay here again!

A small but really pleasent hotel that has a great roof top restaurant that served great food at reasonable prices. Will try to stay here next time I come to Rome.

Reviewed 27 September 2011 NEW Arrived early so expected to wait for the room, not the case. The room was ready, the reception staff were very helpfull at all times, they explained everything about the hotel and gave us a voucher to use in the roof top cafe. The room was of a high standard with a FREE mini bar which was filled everyday. We had out free […] drink in the bar and we purchased a lite bite. All was just excellent. The Hotel his within easy reach of the various sights, with the bus and Metro stops just a few minutes walk away. Remember as with any City please watch out for pick pockets, we knew of two crimes whilst we had our little break, but don;t let that put you off, Rome is a beautiful City and if you stay at the Arimide you won;t be disappointed Les mer

Absolutely loved the Hotel and location. really friendly staff with great service. It was our first time in Rome and we did fall in love with Rome so wiil be back.

This hotel is clean, comfortable,in a convenient location, and provides superior service to its guests. On really hot days the room air conditioning does struggle to keep up. I would recommend this hotel as great value.

it was a beautiful room in an ideal location. we so enjoyed our stay. clean beyond all means, thank you. all the employees were most helpful when/if we needed them.

Room is fairly sized, very clean, quiet and comfortable. Facilities comparable to good US hotels. Breakfast was great - scrambled eggs, beans, sausage, bacon, cereals/fruit assortments. 20 mins by foot to most of the sites. Very pleased with accomodation. Will definitely go back to this hotel.

Good location and good hospitality. Patchy room service though especially at weekends - not replacing sufficient fresh towels etc. Lobby staff very helpful, breakfast sumptious.

This was our first trip to Rome (honeymoon) and after staying at Artemide hotel we are not willing to even try another hotel in Rome in the future!! First of all, the service was outstanding, from front desk staff (who all speak English) to bell boys. Everyone was extremely friendly and willing to help with anything we asked, even looking up train schedules […] for us. The room was very spacious, modern, clean and well-upgraded! The included mini bar was amazing, since drinks are so expensive in Rome. We took bottled water and soda with us from the room and saved a ton of money by doing so. The breakfast was delicious and served with 5 star service, much better than US hotel crappy breakfast. The buffet had everything from eggs, bacon, sausage to pastries and even European style cold cuts and cheese. Coffee was great and service once again excellent. But wait...there's more...the best part of the hotel was the location!!! Right in the middle of Via Nazionale (central street in Rome) and walking distance to EVERYTHING (besides Vatican). We walked to every attraction and saved so much money on cabs by doing so. All around the hotel, there were a ton of restaurants, cafes, gelato places, shopping...anything you can wish for! Seriously...best value for our money, we wouldn't wish for a better hotel! My only criticism would be the comfort of the bed, while it was king size (rarity in Europe) it was pretty hard, so if you like plush mattresses be prepared for a change. although we only stayed here one night, I highly recommend this hotel. it is located in the city center, really close to the metro station. we checked in early at 1:30 and they let us go up to our room without saying a thing. the staff was very polite and helpful with directions to the sites. additionally, our room was upgraded without even asking and […] they had complimentary snacks and drinks in the room. This hotel was perfect for our family of 4 - had two rooms side by side. Located on a very nice street, close to Termini and in walking distance to every sight. Staff more than accommodated our every wish. Loved the extensive breakfast each morning with made to order cappuccinos and drinks on the terrace each night.

I chose the Artemide Hotel in part because of guest reviews and was not disappointed. We frequently stay in 4 and 5 star hotels in the US (for business travel). This property is comparable in my opinion. The location is very good with the train station and metro close by. The major sites are within a 20-30 minute walk. The staff was friendly and helpful […] and the room was reasonably spacious (for Europe) and very comfortable. We stayed at 3 different hotels on this trip and this one had the best breakfast of them all (both hot and cold selections). The only negative is that there are not a lot of great restaurants nearby. It's mainly a commercial area with shops and businesses. But the main piazzas are easy to reach by metro or walking and most have lots of restaurants nearby. Don't hesistate to use the metro in Rome. It's very easy, reliable, and cheap. Les mer

Nice staff & location. Good price, but the room was so tiny that we had to step over our second suitcase to get to the bathroom.

This is the second time I have stayed her and like before I was very satisfied. The service at the front desk was wonderful and our rooms were ready as soon as we arrived which happened to be 11 a.m. The rooms we had were beautiful and the beds very comfortable. If you are in Rome you need to stay here. The staff is very helpful, the room is beautiful and comfortable, and its very close to the metro. Its the best hotel I've stayed in Europe so far!

Good location, very obliging staff, comfortable rooms, pleasant rooftop bar and near decent restaurants with metro 200 meters away.

The staff at Hotel artemide are truly an impressive group. Alessandro, Pino and christian were all very helpful. The breakfast was impressive and the rooftop bar was welcoming. Easy walk to most areas. Rome is everything you imagine and more and this is the place to stay.

Staff was very professional and helpful in all situations assistance was requested. Was given upgrade upon arrival. Great location for shopping and sightseeing - close to train station and pick-up point for tour buses. Great buffet breakfast for size of hotel. Newly opened classy rooftop bar and lounge however, I prefered the smaller downstairs bar/lounge […] that should have been expaned and kept open for daytime and early PM enjoyment that is now closed. The hotel room was very large and very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. Lovely stay. It was a little expensive.

first rate service for the moment of arrival to the departure , from every one employed no matter what level /pay grade . all ameanities were as offerd clean and in in fully operational condition, in all will return to this hotel and without doubt pass on its details to all interested parties,. thanks for a wonderfull stay

My son who was staying at a different hotel left some medical supplies on the plane coming to Rome. His hotel would not assist him. The staff at the Artemide made many calls over three days and finally located his supplies for us. They also assisted in the pick -up. Everything else was also first class.

The service here was exceptional. When we had some dificulties, the staff went out of their way to help us solve our problems. On-line access was excellent. The breakfast at the hotel was very good too. Use the shuttle available. It's worth every penny. We were easily able to walk to sites from this location.

The staff made the trip. Very helpful in picking out dinner locations.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Artemide and would absolutely stay there again. We visited Rome with our two adult daughters in early March. We were very pleased with the hotel (we got two rooms, which I would recommend if you have grown kids). The front desk staff were very friendly and gave us an excellent restaurant suggestion. They were […] knowledgeable and helpful in every way. The breakfast included was very good. The location was central and very convenient--good walking distance to a number of top attractions and to the train station. The only downside was that our room was on the first floor and we heard some noise from the bar downstairs. Les mer

As noted, when we checked in they upgraded us to a roof top room. It was a bit too cold to fully use it, but we still enjoyed a nice bottle of Spumante while the sun was still up. As is often the case in Italian hotels, the room was too warm for sleeping with no way to control the temperature other than leaving the door to the outside open. A small […] inconvenience. Finally, our check out was quite early in order to meet our flight. As the restaurant was not open yet, we were presently surprised when they presented us with small bags of food to take along. This small gesture goes a long way. I would certainly recommend this hotel. Les mer

A very friendly hotel, right in the Centre and handy for all major atttractions. Excellent staff, room, bar & food. A little warm in the hotel, apparently the aircon was switched off/down for the winter..... but we would certainly return.

This hotel was perfect for our stay in Rome. It is convenient to many attractions- a 15min walk to the Colosseum, a 10 min walk to the Trevi, a 10 min walk from the Termini station and 5 min from the nearest metro station. We were given complimentary bubbly on arrival. Our room was great- more spacious than the usual city centre hotels and very comfortable […] and quiet. The minibar was free. There was plenty of variety at breakfast and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and have no reservations about recommending it to others. Les mer

This hotel was great. The breakfast was varied a traditional english style breakfast as well as a ciontinental range with a range of fruit juices and cakes etc. The free mini bar was a big plus that was restocked daily. The room was spacious, classy and very modern. The staff were very helpful if needed to offering recommended restaurants to arranging […] taxis and giving us directions. Les mer

This hotel wants your business and deserves it. We were looking for a hastle free experience and defintely found it here. The staff goes out of its way to make your stay enjoyable. They handle all your tourist plans immediatly. We wanted to book a tour bus and the Papal Audience...they took care of it immediately. The tour bus was leaving early in the […] morning and they offered to pack a "box breakfast" for us. The breakfast was far more than we expected and the presentation was as good as anything I've experienced, and everything was included, i.e., coffe, expresso, latte, etc. was all included. We ate dinner in the hotel twice and found it most enjoyable and relaxed. I look forward to staying there again. Les mer

Checking into the Artemide after a grueling series of delayed flights from the US (and re-routing through Paris, etc.) was like finding an oasis. Since we were exhausted and it was a holiday (New Year's), the fact that the mini-bar was included in our rate was a nice treat. The bell man accompanied us to our room and explained how to operate the lights […] (must insert room key), pointed out the free mini-bar and told us to call if we needed anything. The front desk staff was very helpful in helping us call the airlines about our missing luggage, conversing with them in Italian which I am certain expedited the process. They made the call from the front desk so that we did not have to incur the cost from our room, which was also very thoughtful. What I also enjoyed about this hotel is that the other guests seemed to be mostly Italian, either in town on business or for the holiday. In other words, we weren't surrounded by crowds of other tourists. We loved this hotel and would have liked to extend our stay there. Highly recommended. Les mer
