Old and a little dated but wonderful staff and management, good food and friendly prompt service. Nicely located for exploring Wicklow, close to many good restaurants, pub life and beaches.

The Hotel was not in good condition - the beds were very uncomfortable, the food was not good. It's in a great location and the grounds ar very pretty. The dining room staff were as sweet as coiuld be.

Not a bad hotel but I wouldn't call it four stars. Nothing particularly bad about it but it just wasn't that great. Very old styled which I didn't like and also the driveway is a good 2km so you'd want to have a car for it, never mind the fact that the town it's in has absolutely nothing in it

We had a wonderful stay at a lovely and elegant hotel. Every detail was perfect. The staff was particularly attentive and friendly.

We had a fantastic stay at the Tinakilly Hotel in Feb 2013. It is an ideal base to explore the Wicklow area. The hotel itself is full of character with lots of original features which we just loved. The hotel staff were really friendly, we were looked after by Rosie for much of our stay who was a delight to talk to and could not have been more helpful. […] The grounds were lovely and being blessed with good weather we managed to relax in the garden with a book and a Guinness. The food in terms of breakfast, bar snack and dinner could not be faulted. Only thing that could be improved was the time it took to be served in the bar - when you're quaffing delicious Guinness in Ireland time is of the essence!! (so my husband tells me!) We would definately go back. Thanks to all for making our brief stay so enjoyable. Vikki and Paul Les mer

Very quiet time of year, I was one of only three guests staying that night. As I was travelling alone, the concierge was friendly and helpful with recommendations for dinner and where to go on my onward travels. I was by myself this time, but it would be a lovely place for couples, or for business travellers working in the area.

Lovely Hotel, cannot fault it really. Food was excellent and room had an amazing view. Great place to escape from Dublin for a night or two. Prices are quite reasonable for accommodation but the food is certainly more inline with Dublin prices. Fully recommend a stay here though, staff were superb and the grounds are beautiful.

We arrived not knowing what to expect and we were over the top impressed with everything at Tinakilly Hotel. We had an amazing room! and we walked around the grounds and it was totally worth it. The women at the front desk was absolutely over the top in customer service and going above and beyond what you would expect. Everyone actually were great from […] the staff there. Sitting in the front parlour by the bar was just perfect on a cool evening and the service we received from the staff in the dining room (both in serving and in preparing our meal) were awesome. Everything was incredible. We started our vacation with Tinakilly and we compared everyone else to them.... and everyone else did not live up to what we had received at Tinakilly Les mer

This hotel was such a nice getaway full of charm. The rooms were beautiful and bathrooms well stocked. TV is too low to the ground. The receptionist is sooooooo over the top insincere that I found myself avoiding her. The breakfasts were precooked (yuk) but the dinners were top notch.

The hotel is just outside Wicklow town about 5 - 10 mins drive. The hotel its self is on lovely secluded grounds with a sea view on one side. The room was huge not other way of putting it loads of space in it, the bathroom needed a bigger bath the toilet seat was too small and loose and shower wasn't that good, but it was clean and did the job. The […] bed was 2 singles put together which is pretty standard for most hotels and something I detest because one side was soft the other hard. The TV was old and most of the channels didnt work. The breakfast/dinner room was nice, the dinners were nice but not really value for money to be honest, the breakfast was ok, usual options but was included in the price so didn't expect much. Tinakilly was the perfect mix of formal elegance, country leisure, and family comfort to make one's time of rest between excursions peaceful and restful. The staff were all knowledegable, helpful, and attentive. The food was tasty and plentiful, and the drink was hearty and rich. The rooms were furnished nicely with furniture fitting the period of the […] house and all was in excellent condition. The view and location was wonderful. The access to main roads and sights of Ireland was easy and quick. I would definitely stay here again. Les mer

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Tinakinally Hotel and have recommended it already to friends.You have a real treasure in the form of your evening receptionist who was such fun and really looked forward to us telling her about our daily activities in doing our family search.I would love in the future to return to experience again the feeling […] of going back in time.Everything about Wicklow was wonderful.The town is caught in a timewarp which was wonderful seeing that I had come back to do a family search. The hotel is set in lovely grounds evoking the Edwardian era. The welcome is warm, the rooms are generous in size and the breakfast excellent.

Had a lovely weekend in this hotel. The gardens are lovely and we felt the staff were very friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble and we got the impression that our comfort was paramount. The food was top notch- very fresh and well presented. Overall a good experience and we would go back again.

was a great suprise to find you. enjoyed the restaurant and caught some gossip about the excellent french chef who, it seems, is more of a Marc Veyrat character than a Paul Bocuse...he needs to treasure his wonderful staff, keep his professionalism but perhaps enter more into the Irish character of gentleness and humour.

Hotel is a historic home once owned by capt. Halpren (transatlantic cable)? That said the building is older but very nice. The only problem was our room was warm even without heat on. Would recommend the bridge restaurant in town .

We had been having a lot of rain and really just wanted to go home! But upon checking into The Hotel, we were so comforted by the staff, especially Tasha and her tour of the lovely amenities. She served us drinks and made us comfortable in front of the warm fireplace and we said "Ahhh". The room was large with a lovely view, the bed very comfortable […] and the dinner superb. Service and staff were excellent.the hotel is a little out and away from activities but if you want a relaxing break, it's perfect .hotel itself is well kept with a warm and friendly atmosphere.gardens are not well maintained and need more work.

Thie hotel is different. It is a very nice country house converted into a hotel. The staff are very friendly, the food great and the the surroundings are very quiet & peaceful.

The place itself was really nice with a huge bedroom and bed. The best thing about it was the staff who were very friendly and the service was very good.

We came here with family and the hotel is an old mansion, full of beautiful antique furniture and paintings. The grounds are lovely and our rooms looked out over the Irish Sea. The breakfast and dinner were of very high quality and quantitiy. We loved the lounges and bar with log fires. Lovely old-style house. Friedly staff. Clean, comfortable room. Only one downside, - the restaurant menu which was too sophisticated for our liking. We had to go to an external restaurant.

I have never felt compelled to write a negative review before, but our stay at tinakilly house has changed this. The rooms were nice and there is a cosy little bar, but there was a musty smell throughout the entire hotel. But it is an old country house so allowances were made for that. The real bugbear was with the reataraunt. Service was a disaster. We […] had booked the early bird sitting but when we arrived were not allowed to order from that menu! The meal was very average considering its price. Breakfast was like a scene from Fawlty Towers but our patience was wearing thin, waiting 40 minutes for our order to be taken. I was also promised a call from the manager to apologise for our experience here but have yet to hear anything. Life is too short to tolerate the poor level of service that is provided here. Did not come close to our expectations 0/5. If you are looking to stay in Wicklow there are many better hotels on this website in the locality that I would recommend ahead of here. Les mer

We spent a lovely weekend at Tinakilly. Hotel has the grandeur of a previous centure with modern comforts. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good, plenty of options. Dinner excellent but expensive.

Nicht weit von Dublin entfernt liegt dieses Kleinod in einem schönen Garten mit Blick auf die See. Laut soll es nur werden, wenn Hochzeiten stattfinden, was während meines Aufenthaltes aber nicht der Fall war.

Hotel qui a plongé toute notre famille (6 personnes) dans l'ambiance des romans d' Agatha Christie . Accueil chaleureux . Hôtel particulièrement bien placé pour découvrir le Wicklow .
