"God service og god kvalitet"
Anmeldt av en hotels.com-gjest den jan 31, 2013Vi var på familie-langhelg (2 voksne og 2 barn på 5 og 10 år) for å besøke Padova og Venezia, og hotel Galileo fungerte ypperlig som base for et slikt opphold. Familierommet var to tilstøtende rom, det var rent, komfortabelt og pent. Frokosten var deilig, mye å velge i, og servicen til betjeningen både under servering og i resepsjonen var upåklagelig. Vi gikk til fots til sentrum av Padova, det var en nydelig spasertur men med mindre barn eller dårlig tid er det ikke gå-avstand til byen. Bassenget var i utgangspunktet fantastisk for både små og store med deilig vannmassasje-anlegg og også god plass til å svømme, men vannet som egentlig skulle være 33 grader var bare 28, og det var litt i kaldeste laget. Hotellets restaurant var stengt i helgene, det trakk også litt ned. Både manglende varme på bassengvann og stengt restaurant antar jeg har å gjøre med at vi var der i lavsesong (januar). Hvis de to tingene hadde vært på plass hadde hotellet fått absolutt toppkaraktert :-) Uansett vil jeg ikke nøle med å anbefale et opphold her, det var deilig!

Anmeldt av en hotels.com-gjest den jul 28, 2012Vi er veldig fornøyd med opphold fordi service var topp og rommet er ren. Frokost was enkelt men var greit. Receptionist er alltid hjelpelig og maten på restoran var greit. Likevel bor vi nær kirke men ringeklokka kan høres men ikke forstirrende. Det er lett å bare gå isted å tar bussen fordi hotels beliggenhet er veldig bra. Vi vil komme tilbake til denne stedet i framtiden.

We stayed in a range of tourist hotels in a tour of Italy and this was not the most expensive but it was the best. It looks nice, the rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms large, the aircon works, it has free wi-fi, the staff are extremely nice and helpful and the breakfast is the best in the whole country bar none. we really wished we could […] have moved this hotel around with us to all the big Italian cities. Vincenza itself was also surprisingly beautiful, its not a well known name but it has loads for visitors without being remotely touristy, very real and very Italian. This hotel is an average option for the business traveler. If you need wi-fi, get a room on a lower floor but it is still not reliable. The breakfast available is sub-par to other Italian offerings but is adequate and the coffee is great! I found the hotel to be very clean and meet all the basic needs. The bathrooms were spotless. It's not fancy but for the price, it can't be beat. We were a group of 7 women traveling together so the availability of a variety of single bed configurations was great. Staff were great and secure parking with CCTV was easy. Located within a nice 15min walk into the centre of Vicenza and around a 20 min walk to the train station for those who wish to go into Venice. Front counter staff were accommodating and helpful. We found the room to be clean and quiet. Breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold items to choose from. The Hotel Continental convenient for the centre of Vicenza (10 mins walk), and a short car ride, or longer walk to the main out of town historic sites e.g Villa Rotunda. A taxi is needed to and from the station. The hotel is more modern than appears on the wbsite, with well decorated facilities, with plenty of natural light from large windows. The facilities […] in the rooms are of a good standard, only lacking a fridge from the normal facilities. There is a good shower in the bathroom, and overall the rooms are comfortable (if a little on the small side). Reception staff are very good,friendly and helpful in dealing with requests. The hotel itself was lovely and well decorated. They have rooms with different themes, and we were staying in the cheapest room, which was still very nice and spotlessly clean. The pressure in the shower was great - best I've had in italy. Their lobby area is a nice place to sit - plenty of sofas and they have a little bar. The breakfast was continental […] - quite average, and what you'd expect from this kind of place. Cereal, fresh pastries, boiled/scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, bread, juice etc. The staff at breakfast were very friendly, as were the staff in general. We did get quite annoyed on the day before we left because we had planned to hire bikes to go exploring the countryside. I'd asked at the reception the day before to make sure it would be fine, and a woman told me that yes we could hire bikes, we just needed to come down in the morning and ask. When we did this however, we were told that the bikes were 'not ready yet'. I was really annoyed at this as they didn't say on their website that the free bike hire was only for a certain time of year, and the woman at reception had confirmed they had them. So we'd planned our whole day around this idea (and I'd partly chosen the hotel because of the free bike rental). We ended up renting bikes from somewhere else, and it cost us €24 extra. Still, this was a little mistake on their part, and it didn't affect the rest of the good service we received. The location of the hotel isn't great but isn't terrible either. If you're a football fan, it's right next to the stadium. We found it was about a 10 minute walk into the centre of Vicenza. I think that you'd pay a lot more for a hotel right in the centre. "A Gem in Vicenza"
The hotel is clean, modern, and a haven when traveling all over Italy. We loved this hotel. Our room was large with two large comfy twin beds. We had a balcony that looked out on the back area including views of the city center. Our bathroom was huge and super clean and modern. Great shower. The tv was a good size flatscreen with tons of channels including […] a few in English. Breakfast was delicious. Order the cappuccino an dig in. There's pastries, cereal, fruit, yogart, meats and cheeses and rolls. Even hard boiled eggs. They put out a great spread and it was all included in the price of the room. The hotel is a 25 minute walk to the city center however. So if you aren't a walker, call a taxi. The area around the hotel offered little in terms of restaurants. We booked for 5 nights but had to leave after 2 nights.The room was clean but very small and not suitable for a 5 night stay.It would have been fine for an overnight stop,which most of the other people seemd to be doing.However the main problem,and why we had to leave,was the dampness in the room (and other rooms in the hotel),because it started to […] affect my wife's asthma.I have not experienced this in a hotel room before but when putting clothes on in the morning for instance they felt damp as if washed the day before,which they obviously hadn't been.The management were very polite but didn't seem to take on board what we were saying. I have stayed here last year while I was conducting archtiecture research and this hotel has changed a lot within a year. The lobby and the breakfast room are completely remodeled in a modern style. The rooms were already updated last year when I statyed. The rooms are very comfortable, modern, spacious and enjoyable. The rooms were spotless everyday […] and the bathroom was very comfortable. The breakfast was a typical European breakfast, but abudantly stocked with cereals, meats, baked goods and juices. Many hotels only offer a croissant, one type of bread, ham and one cereal, but the Continental has a wide choice of food items. I throughly enjoyed my stay and would stay here again. Hotel comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. A really good breakfast and pleasant breakfast room. Only problem is the distance from the centre, a 15minute walk, but no problem if you have no difficulty walking.Virkelige gjesteanmeldelser

We came to the hotel for one night stay in Vicenza during holidays. It's located 10-15 minutes by walk from the centro storico. Although the localization itself doesn't seem to be very safe, we went out for a Pizza in the evening and had no undesired encounters :) People at the reception desk are very friendly and speak good english.
