Welcomed by friendly, helpful staff. Open and clean reception area. Very elegant and inviting drawing room. Lovely room, airy and light. Bed was exceptional, linens very good quality. Complimentary turn-down service. Bathroom big and comfortable, but in need of a little maintenance here and there. Altogether a lovely experience. Would recommend!

Hotellet har en flott beliggenhet, servicen var svært bra, hyggelig hotell på alle måter, men rommene var noe små.

Totalt en veldig god opplevelse. Hotellet ligger i et veldig fint og rolig strøk med kort vei til shopping i blant annet Kings Road og Knightsbridge (Harrods). Servicen var svært god og personalet var alltid blide og hyggelige. Det eneste vi har å utsette på var romstørrelsen. Lite rom hvor det var vanskelig for to personer å bevege seg samtidig.

Lite elegant hotell midt i kensington. Fine store rom, god lunsj,kult interiør moderne møter britisk aristokrati. Ett minus, vi var på forretningstur og trengte møterom til 3 men de hadde bare ett stort møterom, dyrt å leie. Betalte 2500 for 3 timer. Men så ville vi heller ikke bo på typisk business hotell. Personalet var hyggelige, men det var endel […] rot da vi sjekket inn og de virket litt fraværende. Men alt I alt,veldig bra hotell. Anbefales! Les mer

Nice location, upscale and friendly staff, nice gym, super clean, every evening they would bring tea and cake to our room, free upgrade to a suite, overall very nice place to stay.

As a frequent traveler, this was the best hotel experience I've had in at least a decade. The only thing in the world as good as the rooms and building quality was the service the staff provided.

We stayed at The Kensington from 28.12.12 to 1.1.13. This is one of the best hotel we have stayed at. All staff are extremely helpful and polite. Our room was upgraded to "delux" which was a lovely gesture - this break was a treat for my husband's birthday. The Guest Relations Team are also very courteous and helpful at giving directions and advice […] to the best way to see London and how to get around. Another nice little gesture was bottles of water and a piece of cake left in your room at night. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys being pampered and enjoys their luxuries. As a VIP I got instant upgrade upon arrival. The room was great and the staff very welcoming. However, the rooms are not sound proof and I could hear the floors each time someone moved along the corridor or even in the room next door. Good location, very convenient for the museums. Excellent service from the staff. Room was very comfortable; great TV and coffee maker; lovely cakes & treats left in the room each day. Generally very clean, but one or two things had been missed. Noisy loose floorboards in the corridor.

Stayed here with my daughter who attends University in England. Lovely hotel with all the amenities. Close to shopping and good access to the Tube. Staff were more than helpful always. Consierge services were excellent in getting us play tickets, transportation, directions, etc. Room was small by Canadian standards but exceptionally clean (and I'm a […] clean freak)and well appointed. Kennsington was a very nice district to stay in...lots of restaurants and shops and stores and of course close to Harrods! Will definitely stay here again next time. Les mer

The hotel was very nice in a boutique sort of way. They gave us a very nice room on the 3rd floor. The bathroom is small but pretty much in line with London hotels. It had a heated floor and a wonderful rain type shower head. The bed was king sized which we look for, and comfortable although I woke with a sore back each morning. The staff was very nice […] and eager to help. They recommended a very nice restaurant nearby. The only thing I would caution anyone contemplating staying hear is about costs. We got a very good deal on our room through Expedia which was well within our budget but when we checked in we quickly found that the prices of anything else the hotel offered were extremely high. A tiny drink in the bar was 12.50 pounds or about $18.75. We didn't even try the restaurant because of that. They offered a laundry service where a shirt was 5.95 pounds. If you are on a budget, as we were, just be aware. Les mer

The location and staff were great, until we requested two wake up calls (asked for two in case they had a problem with one) and didn't receive either. Apparently they transposed the room number and did not think to try the room number associated with the car service to the airport one hour after the requested wake up call. Really homely hotel. Our second stay. It's expensive but worth the money. The afternoon tea is a necessary indulgence - a real pleasure.The bedrooms are small but the public areas, restaurant and staff are all superb. The gym is well equipped but we hardly had time to use it. It's well located in an upmarket area.

We stayed here last weekend to visit our Daughter and see George Michael at Earls Court. Our room was absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous 4-poster bed, huge chandelier, lovely view to Queens Gate over the front door. Chocolates, cake and water left at turn down.. and the bathroom! Wow! 2 basins, stand alone bath and the best power shower in London. […] Fantastic location too - minutes from South Kensington tube, or walking distance to Harrods and Knightsbridge shops/Hyde Park etc if you wish to avoid the crowds underground! A gorgeous part of London. We didn't take the hotel breakfast as there are lots of beautiful little cafes nearby - in fact we were spoilt for choice. Another bonus was that we were able to avoid all the crowds trying to get home from Earls Court after the concert - just a 15 minute safe walk to hotel from this venue. (And a great kebab shop "Bosphorous" just across the road too for midnight snacks!). All the museums are on the doorstep and there's a great exhibition "Ideas" on at Christies at the moment. London at it's best! Free wifi too and excellent cocktails! And George Michael was amazing by the way :) Room Tip: We had room 115 - it was a little noisy as facing front, but we didn't mind in the slightest! Quiet compared to Brighton.... Les mer

The Kensington Hotel is in a desired location, just a brief walk to the tube, and in an area with many restaurants and bars. You can easily venture out of the hotel for a drink or meal if you desire. The facility is bright and tastefully furnished. My main complaint was with the room and bath size. It was a challenge entering the bath due to the location […] of the door and size of the sink. Thankfully I did not attempt to use the loo when half asleep as negotiating the entry was an accident waiting to happen. Les mer

Everything was right about this hotel, other than our room being very small. Was tight coming and going through the door to room. But everything in the room was appointed nicely. We had just come off a cruiseship and the room and bathroom we were given was even smaller than a cruiseship accommodations, and had a noisy vent fan outside the window so opening the window for air was not an option. I really enjoyed my week at this hotel. I had a lovely spacious room with high ceilings, comfortable bed and pillows, super quiet, and modern bathroom. Kettle in the room. Requests were responded to quickly. Lovely, relaxed, stylish foyer. Good location close to South Ken tube. I hope to stay here again.

The staff were very helpful. They handled bags, taxis, room items requests. They provided down-free pillows and blankets at our request. We had a superior room so there was more space than usual in London. The bathroom was large with a great tub. We had tea there - it was very good. The location is superb - two blocks from South Kensington Underground […] station and less than 50 yards from a bus stop for C-1 bus (west, away from the tube station). We walked to breakfast and dinner - there are a variety of restaurants around the tube station and nearer the hotel. Also a post office a block away. We also walked to the Victoria and Albert Museum. It is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location for parks, museums, restaurants and shopping, and the reception, restaurant and concierge staff are excellent. A few qualms are that the room was not made up when we arrived (4 pm!) and the following day when we returned to the room after being out all day it still was not made up by 4. We complained, […] got a nice letter from the manager and things changed after that. A night's rate was charged to my card also as soon as we checked in, even though we prepaid, and they did not tell me. They said it was not a charge, just a "hold," but my credit card did not seem to know the difference. Nice breakfast spread and excellent service. Lovely chocolates with the turndown at night. Bed was a little hard for my tastes but liked the heated floor in the bathroom. Someday someone will design a bathroom that has decent lighting for a woman to fix her hair and put on makeup. Guys, this is not the place for mood lighting, okay? The other thing is, do not touch the telephone in the room, ever. We used it to call a local number to check something with our airline, got put on hold for a while, and got a truly stunning bill. All that said, I would still stay here again. Great service and staff. Nice breakfast and bar and lounge area to hang out. The rooms are tiny but we didn't spend much time there. The marble bathrooms are also a nice touch.
