Hyggelig og hjelpsomt personal. Veldig rent og pent. God frokost. Buss like utenfor som gikk til sentrum. Stilt og rolig i forhold til trafikk.

God service fra start til slutt. Vennelig personale som tar deg i mot og ønsker deg velkommen hjem etter en sen kveld ute. Romslige rom med fine bad.

Kjempe flott hotell! Ikke midt i sentrum akkurat, men med gode bussforbindelser rett utenfor hotellinngangen! Taxi til sentrum ca 15 pund. Døgnåpen roomservice med serviceinnstilte ansatte! Litt problemer med nøkkelkortet, da dette sluttet å fungere omtrent engang om dagen, men ellers alt topp!

Best Western Hotel, Kings Manor, fremstår på alle måter som ett profesjonelt og rent hotell. De ansatte hadde svært god kjennskap til byen, og var i tillegg svært villige til å komme med behjelpelige råd til turister som aldri har besøkt byen før. Rommene var særdeles rene og pene, og sengen stor og behagelig. Badene var romslige og pene, og var i […] tillegg velutstyrte med mulighet til å få tannbørster, tannkrem og alt av hygieneartikler. Rombetjeningen var døgnåpen, og man kunne bestille både mat og drikke til rommet gjennom hele døgnet. Prisene var også svært konkurransedyktige. Beliggenheten er omtrent 20-30 minutter borte fra selve bykjernen, som både er positivt og negativt. Det var svært rolig om kvelden, men reiseruten var ganske lang. Til tross av det var bussholdeplassen til sentrum rett utenfor hotellet, med avganger til sentrum omtrent hvert 10. minutt. Med sine to restauranter, frokostbuffé, bar og døgnåpen rombetjening, fremstår Best Western Kings Manor Hotel som et veldig bra og særiøst tre stjerners hotell, med brosjyrer til alt som er å se av byen. Servicen var god, maten var god og rommet var ok. Sengene var derimot grusomme. De var harde, man følte man lå på en plate med en tynn madrass oppå! Frokosten var ikke inkludert, det kostet 10 pund for voksne og 5 for barn. Man fikk riktignok en lapp hvor man kunne få 20 % rabatt, men likevel.. Det var dyrt her i forhold til Glasgow.

Hotellet er bra med god mat.Godt med parkeringsplasser og regelmessige busser rett utenfor in til byen.

The check-in was quick, had room number written down & not vocalised which was good safety measure as on my own, free use of leisure facilities including pool, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi. I used this hotel as a base from which to visit family and friends in Edinburgh. Quiet, friendly and with a comfortable feel to it, the hotel filled my needs perfectly. David

Lovely large comfortable room. Very quiet overlooking grass/seating area. Spa facilities excellent with powerful showers and good changing facilities. Bistro dining area good. All staff friendly and welcoming.

A clean hotel with good sized rooms and a great staff. A great 20m swimming poll and gym. All in all a great stay.

we were very staisfied with all aspects of the Kings Manor Hotel, the room was big, well maintained and clean. The bar was handy and the food from the bistro was good (we had room service twice!). Although quite a way out of town the busses stop outside and run frequently which is great and much cheaper than Taxis. All staff are polite and friendly. […] we were room only so cannot comment on the breakfasts. All in all it was perfect and we would definately recommend it to anyone wanting excellent value for money. there is a health suite including a spa which is free for guests but we didn't use this as we ran out of time. This is a really nice hotel.

This hotel was exactly what it advertised. We decided on this location since it was really cheap and had free parking and the reviews said it was great. They did not lie. The room itself was small but perfectly adequate and what you would expect for the price. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Getting into town was very […] simple and the hotel has plenty of free maps and flyers with exactly directions on how to take the buses and where from. Excellent service, room - very clean. Perhaps a little far out from the city centre but a very good cheap bus service available right outside the hotel. Will definitely use this hotel again.

hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean,comfy and quiet. Food excellent. Swimming pool and sauna/steam room great to chill out for a while. Nice hotel.. easy access to city on bus. Bus stop outside door. Takes 30mins on bus given the amount of stops along the way. Bit far out to go out at night etc. but good for shopping as easy access to city.

not bad value for the money as it was considerably cheaper than other hotels in the city centre and has free parking. found the bus into town very convenient as there is more than one bus company operating the same route I think. rooms were very reasonable. Only downside was our room was quite near the gym which was blasting out music quite early in […] each morning as we wanted a lie in after a couple of big nights out. It was really a good hotel and staff is very co-operative. Except that it is little far from the city. But as a tourist/business come time you enjoy that distance.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Kings Manor. The price was unbeatable, the location was great, and the room was fabulous! If you are planning to stay in Edinburgh, I definitely suggest staying in this hotel. Please note that this hotel is not in the city center; however, getting to the city center is very easy. To get from Edinburgh Waverley […] Station to the hotel, take the train to Brunstane Station (it runs every day except Sunday). It takes approximately 8 minutes and costs £2.10 each way. The walk from Brunstane Station takes about 5 minutes. On Sunday there is a bus (#44) that runs from just outside the hotel to Princes Street. It is £1.30 each way and takes approximately 30 minutes. **Go to the hotel's web site for more detailed transportation directions. All in all, I will most definitely stay at the Best Western Kings Manor again. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was unbeatable. Les mer

we stayed in this hotel when we arrived the hotel looked ok .. we were shown the bar coz our room was not ready... when we finally got in2 our room it looked ok clean and tidy.. but the first 2 nites my sister got bitten to hell thought it was the washing powder or summat but later found out that they allow animals... so they were flea bites as comfirmed […] by a doctor... this is not good and what a let down as the rest of hotel mainly the staff made the trip..... Hotel desk staff were well trained and very approachable and helpful. Watchout. There is a range of rooms, some much more spacious and modern than the older ones, and with prettier views of country side. The website does not disclose this. It shows only the updated, spacious ones with the view, and not the older, smaller rooms without a view. We were […] given a smaller, older room and found the website pictures quite deceitful. For the money charged, there are many other hotels nearby on the seaside in Portobello that looked to be much better value once we saw them in reality. The Kings Manor is on a busy main road in the middle of nowhere, a couple of km from any shops, pubs, restaurants, etc., again not disclosed on the website. Best to have a car if you stay here. Very nice clean hotel. Room good size. Quiet situation. Dining room very nice, tables with clean white cotton tablecoths. Restaurant food good but limited menu. Good full breakfast. Buffet breakfast a little basic.

Arrived to find the lift ( elevator) broken and no-one to help with luggage. Part of the hotel itself does not even have a lift to service the rooms ... the only way to rooms on the third and fourth floors is via stairs. Chose this hotel because it was supposed to be close to the University of Edinburgh .. not so. In fact required a bus ride of 25 minutes […] or a 10 pounds cab ride to get there. Also required the same to get to the city center. On the positive side, rooms were clean with tea and coffee making facilities .. tea pot, cups and saucers and biscuits ( cookies) provided every day. My wife and I stayed here two nights as part of a week long anniversary trip across the UK. We could not have asked for anything better for our two nights in Edinburgh! The hotel is in a nice neighborhood, was very easy to find, and there is plenty of parking space. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar with very courteous and attentive staff. They […] serve sandwiches/paninis outside of their normal hours, which is very convenient. The hotel is in great condition and very well maintained. Our room was much larger than we expected and was incredibly clean. I had no issues connecting to the wifi and the tv and phone worked incredibly. They offer room service from the restaurant for only a small delivery charge. The hotel is only about a 15-20 minute bus ride into downtown Edinburgh, and there were bus route guides in the lobby. This was incredibly convenient since the number of different bus companies and routes can seem like Chinese algebra to a visitor! They were just into the city center, but if you want additional guidance on other bus routes to other areas of the city, the staff are very friendly and will happily assist you. Best Western King's Manor is the perfect place to stay in Edinburgh no matter what your reason or duration of travel. I really cannot think of a single thing I didn't like about this place! We will very likely stay here again when we return to Edinburgh. Les mer

It's basic but clean. Fair for 3 star hotel. Small problem with WiFi. Relative easy to get to from city centre. Though be ware there r 2 different bus company operate the route.

the hotel was very good the staff couldn't do enough for you,the food was also very good, when we got there we thought we were a bit far out but the bus service was very good & we were only 5 minutes from the beach, so we would recondmend the hotel to anyone.

If you are searching just for a place to sleep and not likely to spend too much money this would be a right choice. The hotel is really old, no breakfast included and you can hear all the wood cracking whenever somebody is walking in the hall. It is around 30 minutes bus drive from downtown. The neighborhood it seems quite safe and the bus stop is just […] in front of the hotel. However you need to be careful as there are like 15 stops from the hotel to downtown and the name of each one is pretty small, so if you are coming back at night and you are not paying attention it could be that you can pass by the hotel without notice. The receptionist wanted to sell us an electrical adapter even though we were going to used only for one day! Les mer

Whilst out of the city centre the hotel is currently connected by a fast, clean and safe train journey of 12 minutes (including walking time) to the centre of the city. The hotel is also served by a main bus route. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent value for money. Room was clean and cleaned daily. Going back in December […] !! Les mer

I recommend this hotel to anyone if they are not bothered about being close to town. It is a half an hour bus ride to the hotel. But the bus services are good. The hotel itself was clean and tidy - though the bed was uncomfortabley hard. The hotel bar and restaurant were very good. Excellent service and food.
