Store fine rom. Hundre meter til Albert Dock. Eneste utsette noe på var frokosten som ikke var mye å skyte av.

Vi var veldig fornøyde med oppholdet igjen. Dette var 2. gang på 2 mnd vi var i liverpool på det samme hotellet, og vi har vært veldig fornøyde begge ganger. Fin bar/spiseomeråde og flott basseng med trenings rom.Selve rommene er veldig fine og passet oss helt perfekt.kort avstand til alle butikker/sentrum 3-5 min gåavstand.

"Bedroom Renovation Urgently Required"
Excellent price but my room definitely required more than just a hoovering. Curtains falling off rails, and dirty bath being the worst.

Got to room and opened door to find a half naked woman in the room already. Went to reception and asked for room without someone in it already! Then had to wait while the staff worked out what had happened. Went to bar lounge to and order of a very limited menu. Barman insisted I pay cash or went back to reception first to get an authorisation. Then […] had to wait 10 mins for him to turn the TV over to the channel I wanted while i waited for my meal. He said he would do it when he had served the waiting queue. When i asked the manager to do it it took him 10 seconds! The whole hotel is run down and is more of a motel than anything else Les mer
"Wigan Britannia"
Staff were very welcoming and although we had to move rooms they ensured we were comfortable. The rooms are quite tired, but the second room we moved to already had the bathroom refurbished and was very comfortable.

room was dirty and smelt. the breakfast was cold. the only decent thing about the hotel was the night porter. he was very atentive.

Good location. Easily accessible to motorways. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room. Much attention required for the maintenance of rooms e.g. upholstery of chairs which is a great shame for the place.

Was looking for a place to stay for a night as visiting family, unfortunately after an over 300 mile journey from Cornwall and wanting a comfy nights sleep, it was rather disappointing as the bed was tiny!! You would find better comfort and quality at a travelodge as we did when we moved to Haydock Travelodge.
"Sorry - but do no stay here"
Sure it was a cheap night, and a last minute booking, but nothing prepared me for the state of the room. It was filthy. I've even sent photo's to hotels.com as i've never stayed in a place that was actually unclean! The irony is that opposite the road was a Premier Inn for the same price and in MUCH better condition (unfortunately it's not listed on […] hotels.com so missed it - hey ho). This place needs a serious makeover; some people have commented on you get what you pay for here. Well sorry, I've paid the same price in other hotels and never had the filth and grime i had to face in the room - it meant I wore shoes as i didn't want feet touching the carpet. The rest of the hotel is very dated, but caters for coach loads of tourists so seems to fit the bill for the majority. Wish I could say the same but in my opinion, basic cleanliness is top of my list and this hotel room didn't match that. Definitely would not recommend based on the room. Les mer

Ideal for what i wanted it for cheap and pleasant. Some people can be very picky and quiet pathetic. But overall a nice hotel and very cheap :D

absolutely fine budget hotel. would stay again. bar area pleasant, lovely reception area. cleaning staff left hair in bath plug hole - apparently all rooms are the same. other than not cleaning the dust from the corners of the bathroom floor after mopping the cleanliness is OK. tiles in bathroom needed a good scrub down. generally friendly staff, although […] you can hear cleaners grumbling.leisure facilities not very well kept - could put you off using? leisure staff very friendly.car park and external appearance a little scruffy. "think travel lodge with a better interior"
incredible value at £20 a night room only.would go again, and again. tepid water for duration of stay. pool facilities cost extra, these are tired; although the pool is lovely and warm the changing rooms and poolside are filthy. staff from other departments walk through without shoe protectors to the outside patio. debris from the day before is often […] still there ..... reception staff a mixed bunch of lovely and helpful to oddly indifferent and dull. my room carpet was not thoroughly vacuumed before i stayed, i found broken plastic, an elastic band and a hair grip - all in different places around the edge of the room. during the evening and in to the early hours catering staff are wheeling trollies of supplies from the conference rooms back to the kitchens. i know work needs to be done; but the doors do not close quietly. hey ho. one night i was so cold, the next too hot?! it's january - it's going to be cold:) the car park had a number of damaged cars and there were a number of signs warning of car thefts. we also got a notice with the room check in sheet to advise on car safety. nice hotel, room a bit scruffy, bar experience - not very welcoming i have to say. would have been nice of hotel to provide free breakfast. one other thing - why don't all night's stays contribute to free night promotion?

the hotel was quite good i was there for my uncles wedding the happy hour on the bar at reception was unexpected and a welcome change from hotels charging over the top prices. my room was quit nice but in the morning the maid knocked on the door at 9am to do my room, and we had to check out of the hotel room at 10am not as stated 11am

The staff in the bar and restaurant are desperately in need of training as the level of service skills were very poor but my wife and I put this down to their very young age. Otherwise we found the welcome very good, warm, clean and comfortable accommodation. Would recommend the stay but go across the road for food and drink.

"Place of rest!"
Travelling back to Plymouth via Liverpool from Newcastle, i found the Britannia Wigan on the internet at a very reasonable price for a night's stay. The staff were friendly, the room confortable although the TV was ancient. The breakfast was hot and well prepared. As I was only staying for one night this was an excellent place to rest my head after […] a 150 mile journey. Would use it again if needed to be in that area. Thanks. Les mer
"I never give bad reviews but The Brittania deserves one!"
The Hotel was filthy & the staff too young and inexperianced. We had a drink in the bar after our journey but the glasses were dirty and the staff (kids) were standing round chatting and not at all 'cutomer' friendly. I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN!!
