We love staying at the Amora. This is about the 5th time we have stayed there. It is on the tram line and so transport is no problem. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance and a hotel and bottle shop very close by when you want that little sip or so. The Amora Riverwalk was a wonderful location, great service and room but we were not told of the wedding going on below our room from 4pm until 11pm - the precise time we were trying to rest. Very clean, helpful, efficient and happy staff, loved our split level 2 bedroom apartment with balcony, fresh air, great view and walk along the river bank, caught trams in and out of the city, great shopping and eating areas all along Bridge Road, really enjoyed staying in Richmond. Fully recommend it and car was secure!

My partner and I stayed here for one night while attending a concert in the city. Far exceeded our expectations. Great rate for what you get! It is always a pleasant environment and is away from the hustle & bustle of th CBD albeit close enough to it. The surroundings are casual, friendly and non intrusive. We always enjoy our time at the Amora

great location close to the city.the walk path along the yarra river is very nice.rooms are more like a small apartment, very spacious and well set up also for a short stay.

Friendly and helpful reception staff, clean and comfortable room. Did not use restauranr facilities as breakfast very expensive. Would certainly stay again and recommend.

Great location beside the Yarra. Free bicycles!! Large, clean comfortable room - much better value than CBD hotels. Restaurant did not look very appealing but there are other places to eat on Bridge Street. Convenient underground parking. Internet access was expensive - is it unreasonable to expect that this be included in a "4.5-star" hotel?

Lovely room but music from the function room on Friday night was played until at least 2.30am and quite annoying when trying to sleep. Also a bit noisy on Saturday night but I think it came from the hotel over the road. My fault but did not realise the room layout (two story and steep stair case) did not suit my 20 month old granddaughter at all. I loved the picturesque setting and the views along the hallways and throughout the hotel. Having access to a private balcony from my room was brilliant. Service from staff was excellent. Being from the country I loved how easy it was to get to and from citylink.

Everything about our stay was great from the hotel perspective. The service at the desk and restaurant was really personal. The only negative was the pub across the road that played loud music and had a loud crowd noise until quite late at night. We would request a riverside room next time and be very happy to stay again.

Hotel is in a fabulous location to take advantage of public transport, bike riding along the Yarra, shopping, MCG, etc. Hotel Duty Manager was a little inflexible. We booked 3 nights accommodation 2 of them with breakfast. He did not want to allow us the option of which mornings suited us to have the breakfast. Great location, tram stop outside, Bridge Rd shops and restaurants a short walk away. We stayed in a townhouse - stairs quite steep, but manageable. Our older guests had problems stepping in and out of the bath on the lower level. Apart from that the airconditioning worked well and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The service from all staff in this hotel was exceptional.The room was well appointed and very clean. The location was great being close to great shopping, the city and having a river with walking and biking tracks behind the hotel. I would love to stay here again !!!

Spent 5 nights here and would definately recommend, especially for families with a few kids. Plenty of space and 3 tv's! Kitchenette had a 2-burner electric stovetop, and a frypan and 2 pots to use on it. Microwave was good, but no microwave bowl of any kind. Toaster in great condition, as was the peeler & knife. Downside to the kitchenette was there […] was nowhere to eat. Should have been a small table instead of the 2nd desk. We used the sofabed & balcony chairs with the ottoman to eat dinner! The plumbing in the showers was terrible. It was either scalding hot or freezing cold. No towel rails, so no eco-friendly re-use of towels, which was a luxury I felt quite guilty about! A special thing about the hotel was the free use of bikes, and you're right on the bike path into the city--a flat, comfortable 8km ride, with a GREAT cafe half-way along. Try the Italian hot chocolate!! If you're not into that, the #48 or #75 tram is just at the front door, and totally convenient, especially for all the venues around the MCG. Les mer

We got a cheap deal and as such, I think we got one of the older rooms. I asked for a room as high up as possible (4 floors) but we were on the first floor. The room was nice enough, just needed a makeover. The aircon was noisy and too warm. We couldn't get it cool enough even on the lowest setting and this was in winter, so we just turned it off. On […] the second morning, we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door but when I came out at 9.00am the cleaners still asked if they could clean. I told them my wife was still in bed and could they come back later but they didn't return! There was a marquee erected in the courtyard which all rooms faced onto, where they had functions each morning #from 9.00am on a long weekend!# & evening with either talking or music! Too noisy. On the positive side, it's in a great location with good cafe's nearby for breakfast. Only a few hundred metres walk to Bridge Road Precinct, a great pub The Bridge Hotel straight across the road with excellent food. Right next to the river so good for walking/exercising and with a tram stop right outside the door for easy access to the city. In summary, the hotel was frustrating but maybe we were just unlucky and on a different day, different room, we might see it differently. The location's the real bonus and I'd still be tempted to go back because of this. Les mer

This hotel excelled in service!! We were so impressed! Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The pillow menu and turn down service were a plesant added touch. Tram stops just outside the hotel and Bridge street was great to walk down for resturants. We have marked down .5 of a point for the resturant downstairs as we felt it was overprices for a very […] average meal and as it stormed this night we had to eat there. We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. We had a spa room which was great. The room was quiet, we did not hear the trams or any other guests in the hallway - always a bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Every thing was fine with the exception that if the restaurant did not suit there was no close optionto eat as hotel over the road was being renovated. Otherwise it was great for our needs.

The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to offer assistance with our requests. Our room was large and well maintained Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were refilled each day. Staff very friendly and helpful If booking this hotel - request room away from the road - trams noises kept us up late at night and early in the morning. Couch inlunge very uncomfortable - cushions kept slidding off - not able to relax easily. We had a wonderful stay and found the rooms and facilities and friendless of staff wonderful. We ate at the restaurant once using the vochers provide in the room for buy one meal get one free and had a beautiful meal but meals expensive for a family. There are many cafes near by for great eating and value. Tram stop right out front was also very convient […] and noise level was good. We had a family of 5 with 2 boys sleeping down stairs in single beds with ther own bathroom, t.v and fridge while we were up stairs with queen size bed and daughter on sofa bed. The hotel was nice enough, but the room was a different story. The phone kept buzzing loudly and wouldn't work. When I called down to the front desk they said someone would be up to fix it. Never happened. The internet server went down twice in 24 hours, each time prompting a trip to the front desk where they rebooted and all was well. My partner and I got an awesome deal from Expedia for the Grand Prix weekend. I really liked the Bridge Rd, Richmond. Our Room didn't include breakfast but that wasn't a problem as there are lots of beautiful cafe on Bridge Rd, just a few minutes walk from the hotel. I loved staying on Bridge Rd as it has affordable and fashionable shopping, Trendy […] Cafes and Great Bars and restaurants. The tram stop, was out the front and it was easy to catch this to Melbourne CBD or down to Chapel Street. We found this out ourselves as the front desk was much help with directions. The room was large and had been recently renovated and was very clean. The bathroom is equally as nice. Lot's wallboard with of coat hangers and a good iron in each room ( I think this is quiet important ). My only downfall is that the hotel restaurant looked dated and not very inviting. So we didn't eat there... but as mention before, bridge Rd has alot of resturants. I have stayed at the Amora Jemison, Sydney and I must say this hotel is a 100% better! Thanks Expedia for the great deal! FYI - It cost $70-80 each way for a cab to and from the airport. Les mer

I experienced my meal order done wrong, next night my card key wouldn't let me in my room and the night chef for room service menu went home, you pay for simple services and this p[lace not only fails to deliver but offers no compensation for it, a disgrace of a hotel in my opinion

The hotel was located on Bridge Rd which was handy to both the city and some excellent outlet shoppping. The room was modern, clean and well appointed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would both happily recommend this hotel and stay there once again.
